I'm enjoying seeing all the familiar faces from shorter dramas. I watched a few eps of Yanxi and didn't continue so can't comment on similarities. But yes, I'm also waiting for the twist.

The character I find most intriguing is Zhao Yi Qin as Yan Bai Luo. His costume design and the lines given to him are like that of an immortal descending from his high mountain, which is what he did in the drama. There's definitely more to his ethereal look than what's being shown so far.

No, they're not at the point where they like each other yet. Sure there's an attraction on both sides but they're still using one another or manipulating one another. ML even calls out her act in the latest ep where she wants him to shield her cousin from danger.
