this show started off nicely only to have not a very good ending

the first two eps of this show.. I loved them a lott.. it had a really good start
altho in the first eps i was kinda annoyed with how taehyun literally accused da yeol kf a rape attempt because taehyun said to the teacher "j said no but he still attacked me".. and j also hated how the adults dealt with this.. like da yeol was literally accused of a rape attempt and he was let off with just a few scolds???.. like wtf imagine if the accusatiin was real??

and the second episode.. j lived how da yeol went to check upon taehyun at his place 😍😍

in the third eps as well the emotions were so nice and u derstandable(altho it took me a while I could u derstand what da yeol was feeling).. like he has always been focused on archery but then taehyun sways him and now he can't focus (prob no 1)..da yeol stilll thinks taehyuns a murderer(prob no 2) and da yeol can't understand the true intentikns of taehyun coz one time hed bully him but the next sec hell act friendly so yeah I loved that too

in ep 4 tbh I didn't understand why taehyun hit himself like that.. but apart from. that we see quite a lotta development between these characters and i loved that

now j didn't understand why taehyun pushed away dayeol like that.. like he said he couldn't accep dayeols lkbe for him coz he was afraid of losing him but then taehyun pushed away dayeol.. like didn't he lose hi. after all sk what's the point??

okay upto this point, (ep 6) everything was greatttttt but then they just had to fuckkk it up with that 2 years gapp whatt the fuckkk!??????? whyyyyyy j mean considering how they two parted ways.. it was impossible for them to reunite and reconcile so quickly but stilll!!!! why the two year gapp?? I hate gaps I don't support em at all... and ep 7 wth?? it felt truly like mehh..and j couldn't connect with it at all.. why?? well because they never showed us how the two characters patched up w eo.. like dayeol said I'll wait for you taehyun and that's it.. what truly happened and how taehyun made up for his bad behavioie was not shown.. directly we were shown that they are sating eo now and are al loveg dovey.. wth!? and i think there was a total 4 year gap...

first when they parted in high school the 2yrs later they met in university then after that 2yrs later they were dating I'm not sure tho...

so yah this is def good (except for the yrs gap)
I wd have rated this a 10 possibly if not for the 2 years gap... n i wd def recommend this

The stor and all was good....but it kinda jumped at the end...i haven't read the webtokn so idk if they skipped smthin...but a lot of scenes feel cut off

things i diskiled

I really do not understand why muyeong said that he already has a bf when the uthor confessed...(I mean if I use my own brain....muyeong had in mind that Lee and the artist were dating and even tho he already has a partner...the artist was confessing to him so basically muyeong thought that artist is a Playboy so he rejected him..but this part was never mentioned in drama instead..read below.)
in the episode..now idk Korean I was watching sub...so when the author confesses to muyeong, in the sub muyeong says ..."I hope he doesn't know how I feel because I don't want to hurt him"...wtf??? that guy just confessed to you and you are telling if you say I like you too to him he will get hurt.??? what man??

then it's the typical a girl enters and there is a misunderstanding...now I'm not against misunderstandings occuring in drama...but in this case I feel it was carried on for too long which made me kinda irritated

and then in ep 7 ig when the artist confesses...it just felt too weird..like idk how to describe it but I didn't like it
and what I hated the most is the artist telling muyeong to break up with his "boyfriend"...like altho muyeong and junseok weret ctually dating...acc to uthor..they were dating..and it was very wrong for him to confess to muyeong nd practically force him by asking to break up w his current bf..like what kinda dogshit is tht??

REVIEW
**a lil personal story/reaction first**
When this drama ended, when the last episode came to an end, i just stared at the wall, totally blank for a solid minute. When the ending OST played, i stared at the screen, letting all the memories sink in. Goosebumps all over my body, reminiscing about all the moments (it had only been a day since i watched it. Yes i watched the first 14 eps in one day and watched the last ep the next day coz it was too late and also coz i wanted to be fresh and alert while watching the last episode) tears in my eyes that i had to say goodbye. And i am not lying when i say this, out of all 50+ BL dramas, 50+ BL anime that ive watched 50+ manhwas that ive read, this is the only actually the 2nd drama (1st one being The On1y One') that made me sad that it has ended. There have been many dramas which made me want more of the story however none of them have made me sad that they have come to an end. But in case of addicted and The On1y One it literally made me sad. Actually i can say that addicted made me even more sad than on1y one. because there is a possibility of The On1y One coming with a s2 but addicted? nahh it has been 8 yearss alreadyy.

now review
My likes (there's a lot)
-This story was just really awesome. All the actors played their roles very nicely tho they were not 'flawless' but i am not complaining.

-i was taken over by the cute little interactions between our main couple. The constant teasing, fighting, getting each other in trouble was ADORABLE to watch.

- But that's not all. Both of them knew how to be responsible as well (like when Bai was sick Gu took care of him. When Gu fought for Bai's sake, Bai was concerned if Gu would be expelled)

-After that dinner and piggy back ride the way they bonded was amazing. they showed their love and care for each other in subtle ways.. i love that scene where they were having break fast and Gu hai noticed Bai eating the meat out of the food so Gu gave him his meat as well awww adorable

- both actor's singing is cherry on cake

- music and songs are wisely used and i love it

- i absolutely love the bed scenes, not the sex-bed-scenes (talk about that later) but the scenes at Bai's house where both of them are on the same bed. It is hilarious to watch Gu Hai trying to sleep basically glue-stuck to Bai Luo Yin.

now, the dislikes which mainly revolve around ep 12 13 14, Lulu, and some personality traits of Gu Hai and Bai Luo Yin (not a lot but seems big coz i have described in detail)
- Lulu-- Gu hai alr has a gf-lulu, yet he goes ahead and falls for Bai. i know he cannot control it but why did they add it into the story? it could have been just as good if not better even without the gf... and also if Gu hai already knew he now likes Bai luo yin then why did he not break up with her then and there and instead led her on. In the end even when he did break up, he made it look like he did so because she was cheating on her (which she was) like he couldve just not led her on and break up with her?

now i will talk about the three episodes, Bai LUo yin and gu hai altogether

for me, the entire pace was ruined by ep 11 12 13 and 14. The atmosphere shift in these episodes was unlikeable. But more than that i had a problem with how Gu Hai and Bai's 'relationship' was portrayed in these episodes.
Now let me get this straight. Since the beginning of the series, we can clearly see that Gu hai is head over heels for Bai luo yin. All the existing chemisrty between them is 99.99% because of Gu hai's actions. Bai luo yin, since the beginning has been resisting and pushing Gu away (which is not a problem but stay with me and hear me out). He does show some subtle signs of affection towards Gu hai but it does not really come out as love (for me atleast).
So now all of a sudden, in ep 11 12 13 and 14 they start behaving like a couple which is a problem to me. I personally cannot feel Bai luo yin's affection towards Gu Hai which is exactly why in ep 11 12 13 14 when they do couple behavior it seems out of place

talking about Bai luo yin's character, i found it particularly unlikeable in ep 11 12 13 14...Actually since the beginning i was quite neutral towards Bai's character...i did not like him nor disliked him (contrary to Gu Hai's character which i loved)...he was just there for the plot and to be loved by Gu hai...however in the episodes i found him unlikeable and idk why

About Gu Hai, i saw someone say that he is a walking red flag. like in that scene where gu hai punched and threatened to break a guy's leg... other red flag was the sexual assault which even i agree was veryyy wrong.. we could literally see Bai struggling under him. but i just ended up ignoring all the red flags tho

DESPITE all the dislikes i mentioned, still love the series. I actually am not gonna let my dislikes affect the rating of the story and am gonna give it a 9 okay a 9.5..
This is rare for me to do coz usually even if i dislike a part of a story, i would lower the rating but i am not doing that for this series which shows just how much i love it mannn
ohh and i researched A LOT about this series out of curiosity read multiple articles and blogs.. they all mention the 8 year promise ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Even though it had already been 8 years when i watched this series (in 2025) i am still gonna be a part of the 8 year promise and just like millions of other people i am gonna wait for them to appear together (deep down i know it is impossible and it makes me sad but, i will still believe)

watch this drama without reading the webtoon.. or you'll be disappointed

I had read the webtoon long back.. but decided to rewatch it before starting the drama..

so basically this drama is just like most other webtoon-adopted dramas.. fast paced.. too short.. lacks development..

talking about the pace.. at the beginning.. i felt it was too slow.. the at the end it was too fast.. everything just happened too quickly and didn't show any development

also I would like to add... a few weeks ago I watch kBL Why R u?.. j read a review from a person saying that they did not like the korean version because it completely altered the original story.. well at that time (i had not seen the original drama) i was quite against this statement as I believe it's an independent drama and although it's adopted from the thai version.. it does not have to be the same...
But boyy when j saw jazz for 2 drama.. I realised the pain.. I actually liked the og manhewa i gave it an 8.5 .. so i didn't like the fact that the story was completely altered in the drama

1...for instance.. Doyoons character and personality is changed completely... but I like the doyoon in the drama more like he's more energetic and in manhewa he is calm ig
2..the past is changed completely
3...half of the events aren't according to the og webtoon.. for example the kiss??? that wasn't how the events unfolded in the webtoon
but it's alright I guess it does not HAVE to be a carbon copy of the original after all

apart from this talking about the relationship between the couples was kinda... mehh
i mean the second couple was neither given a proper closure.. nor a proper explanation of what exactly their relationship is and why are things messed up between them.. they just gave a half assed commentry(?) on their relationship

for the main couple I don't have much to argue about except that SA topic.. in the webtoon they conversed w each other properly and sorted it out(altho I didn't like the fact that seohoon forgave taeyi so quickly) but in the drama.. it was just 'sorry' and a kiss.. that kiss didn't even feel nice (usually I get butterflies)

also talking about the side couple.. like they had a lot of potential.. but the storytelling and fast pacing just wadted the potential.. both in the webtoon and drama.. well the drama was adopted from the webtoon only so if the story of side couple in the webtoon is bad.. the dramas gotta be bad too.. but i also wonder.. if they changed so much jn the drama then they could have added some changes into the relationship of the side couple too.. so that their relationship could make more sense and seem logical..

so yeah id recommend this if u wanna watch it just as a fling but not if you're seriously wanting to watch something (iff it makes sense.. and dont watch this after reading the webtton coz you'll be disappointed by the drama.. since the webtoon is beter

review is way below, ive added my reaction to each ep first, feel free to skip since it is a mess

Ep 1 wahh this was a really good episode and I already have high hopes from this..
My first impression of the lawyer was that he's very stoic and shit but then later I realized he's too soft and funny AND CLUMSY oh my god (like talking to his plants and all)

i loveee the comedic timing of the dramas.. like him enjoying the view in the mtn and then suddenly it cuts to him being unable to put up a tent goshh too funny if this goes on, I might love it.

Now I am already feeling the chemistry between them. But but but i thought it was strange at first for 2 literal strangers to act like the best of friends.. I mean the way the guy went into the lawyers tent and like slept on his lap was not okay.. so at the beginning I was like I can't really digest that the plot is so convenient like 2 strangers being buddy buddy all of a sudden...but at the end of all clicked, he is actually a con artist, so it's normal for him to act like that w him, he doesn't mean it it's just play pretend so then it was all cleared up and I'm okay with it...

Also the funny comedic timing of his towel falling off
And the best best best thing is that the lawyer is continuously in every fucking frame, serving face.. wtff he is soooooo hottt mannnn.
Oh also I love that symbolism of the green liquid (probably poison) falling into the water which appears whenever the con artist tugs at the lawyer's heartstring...I love that symbolism woahh

Ep 2 1:13 ahhh he is sooooooo cuteee
2:00 fuckkk that facceeeee ahhh
6:53--7:45 soo funny "for the planet"
"Ahh" part a bit convenient but theek hai
9:28 ahhh fuck lawyer is soooo cute his head turn ahhhhh
Ohh my goddddd tht kast sceen altho it wasn't much, it has me soo excited and like ahhh ahh like i literally had to keep it aside and go to the washroom and calm myself down fuckk... An inwas like already? Like their romance era started kready? From the preview, the next ep is gonna be fluffy

Ep 3 beginning 1 minute: what the fuck was that?? " Nante ne" whattt I fucking thought it was real but what was that?
(Side note, I'm really into the lawyer not coz of his looks (altho he is handsome) but like he is so innocent kinda and cute, I don't want the con artist to like fuck him up like don't ruin his life man...and I don't like the con artist coz I don't know his motives and im scared he wd hurt the lawyer or smthin and ruin him)
12:53 ahhh I melted at the lawyer's smile
Ohh my godd that confession was COMPLETELY unexpected just like that outta the blue and lawyers reaction to it was soooo adorable shtttt I'm actually gonna fall for him at this rate... Oh and in the midst of all this fluff they added that potential angst/danger of the other lawyer working on haruto's case..like he sees harito in court mann...but seriously I'm liking this drama I hope it turns out to be well and good

Ep 4 3 07 how is this guy so cutely Dumb and a LAWYER? like he used the oldest trick in the book "it's for my friend"😂😂😂
Okay so this ep was a bit boring with the usual jealousy thing (except the part before the ost)
So he finally accepted he's in love

ep 5 yeah this ep was just okay? it was basivallly him realising that love is a poison and obstruction for him so he tells the con to leave and he does so at once and goes back to the underworld

ep 6 yeah i straight up did not like this episode i mean first of shiba was just too fucking awkward which looked funny but that can be excused coz thats his personality. However, wtf was thst gangster fight scene? fucking cringe. And honestly neither their confession nor the kiss felt like anything.
i have been saying since ep 1 that they have gr8 chemistry but here it didnt feel good at all

now im afraid i might drop this coz stating from now, they are in a relationship already and i usually don't like the aftermath of a couple in a relationship. but lets c.

ep 7 3:13 ahh he is so funny
6:51 haii sore wa kawaii
7:23 mr lawyer, what is that pose??? hahah

***REVIEW***
I have mixed feelings for this drama.
The first 3 episodes of this drama were adorable, intriguing and very good (to say the least)

Since ep 1 this drama was very entertaining. The way it introdced Shiba and the cut off ti the confession scene with a funny voiceover was very nice (mann talk about great comedic timing which was constant throughout the entirety of this series ESPECIALLY the first 3 episoddes)
The chemistry between the two leads was also very good and strong and i couldnt help but ship them.
(side note Ryouma Shiba is hot as fuck and cute as fuck, most of my personal timestamps are just me admiring his handsome-ness)
These eps were filled with cute fluffy moments but at the same time plot development was also going on with Haru being all mysterious.

however, after episode 4 it just went downhill.
i think i found it a little to cringe especially that part where Shiba somehow figured out where Haru is, ran to that place(a must scene in j-dramas), and completely made a fool of himself (not a big deal tho)

Since the first ep, i felt that there is strong chemistry between them but that confession scene did not cut it for me and the kiss?? well simply, no, not good.
I had high expectations from the NC scenes but it did not live upto it. "Maybe it was intentionally made like that due to Shiba's awkward personality." i just brushed it off thinking this but, i (had to) brush off and let go of a lot of things thinking "its just his personality" which i did not appreciate.

Also after ep 4 they had this whole "you are my best partner" "i will always stay by your side" stuff going on. Which (now this is due to my very personal (problematic) opinion and lack of love for people haha i hate myself for it too) is something i can never believe in or feel, or even think its possible, so it jst felt a bit off to me ad i didn't quite like it coz it was "unbelievable" for me.

Then the last few episodes were about this case which was closely connected to both of the lead's past which was meh(?). i meann the court trial itself was a very good scene (individually) bt apart from that everything was just happening too quickly like the pace of the events was too fast (i did watch the last few eps in 2x speed but thats not what we are talking abot here the pace of the events itself was too fast)
But im a bit glad that they wrapped it up quickly coz any longer and i would have dropped it.
Yeah the court case scene and the very last christmas scene of the last ep was nice.
But as i said in my notes from ep 1, it did not live upto my expectations.

This drama gets everything right.......

This drama gets everything right... that's what I thought till the last episode.
I mean this has a lot of things like overly sweet moments, I'll chase you by bringing you food everyday trope, no red flags just a green carpet (yes I love me some red flags), and just this cute couple vibe which is not my thing and yet, yet i liked watching it. I mean usually when a drama has stuff like this, I'd simply not watch it but this one made me stay.

Let's list all the things I liked (aka all the things THIS drama got right which others don't). Negatives, later.
1. First and foremost, the friendship. This is not a "got right" thing. I'm mentioning it here because love their friendship so so much. I love how the friends are so silly but when time calls for it, they can be mature. They are really supportive of their friends and always jump to e/o's defense. I love how even though they were shocked, they all supported Hao and Sun liking guys. (that scene where they try to read BL manhua was hilarious.. and them putting in this effort to understand Hao and Sun is also really nice).
2. I am not sure how to say this but there was this "weirdness" in this drama which I haven't seen in any dramas before. Actually the weirdness was the silly-ness of the characters. Especially Hao. The weird faces and sounds he made.. at first i thought "tf is he doing? this makes me uncomfortable" but then I realized that it does not make me 'uncomfortable'. It's just that I've seen such silly-ness in a drama for the first time. I've seen many high school dramas but none of them had this full of energy, silly characters.
3. Green flags. actually green flag because only Hao was green at first Sun was a red at first. My first impression of Hao was bad because he seemed to only care about fucking his gf and was ignorant towards her (which is true i think). But later on a lot of other things that he did made him a better character.
(on a side note, talking about characters, Li Si Yu had a very inconsistent character. In the beginning, even she was nonchalant towards her relationship with Hao. She was even trying to court Li Shi Gu while being with Hao. Then when Shi GU rejected her, she came back to Hao (wow talk about loyalty) which made me think she does not really love Hao. However later when Hao asked them to break up, she was crying and seemed really hurt. Like what is going on girl?)
4. About the break up. (this is when I started to feel euphoric that wow this show is getting everything right. This is where the line comes from) I love how Hao broke up with Li Si Yu and THEN started courting Li Shi Gu. In a lot of dramas i watch, this is a big problem. The ML keeps leading a girl on even though he knows he's fallen for someone else. But no, this drama got it right and made them break up first. (I've mentioned this below as well in time stamps)
5. Sweet moments. Let me be honest. I don't like them. If it's too much, most of the time I fin(I stopped in between coz I'm listening to unknown OST and I'm emotional) I find it 'cringe'. But I didn't find this drama cringe. Even if it is FILLED with sweet moments, I went on and watched it till the end.
6. Talking about the visuals, Hao didn't find him attractive in the first episode. But then he REELED me in. idk how I did not find him attractive in the first ep but loved him in the 2nd ep and throughout? Oh and his habit of slicking his hair behind ohh I'm down sir. also he is so seductive, his eyes in particular, the gaze he gave during steamy scenes (tho I'm not a fan of his lower register voice during those scenes (it's a personal intolerance))
And Chi Gang, man's a eye-candy, to simply put. Him in his gym clothes with that 'lookin down on you' gaze ahhh
7. Acting-wise, all did great especially Wayne Song (playing Hao) did an amazing job. I was especially amazed by the shift in his entire demeanor from chill, cool , loving, caring, silly in the first 9 episodes to heart broken, tired of living man in the last episode. Halfway through the episode I noticed that he carries some sadness with which he cannot let go of. Finally when it was revealed what happened, I realized so that's why he was sad. man did a phenomenal job> through his acting alone (even before it was revealed) I could feel that there is some sort of sadness.

Now the negatives
1. this is the first problem i found in this drama. Sun kissing CHI without consent. Even after being pushed away THREE TIMES he continues to kiss him (usually i love such red flags in dramas but for some reason I don't like it in this one. IDK why in this drama all my likes and dislikes are different than the usual. usual- hate lovey-dovey cute stuff. In this? love it... Usual= love red flags.. in this? hate it)
coming to Sun this guy is just a menace. Too controlling? even after being told not to bother him, he makes a fuss in his WORKPLACE?? He literally follows him and tells him to get out of the car (I didn't eve watch this scene. just skipped)
Honestly, i did not like the second couple. Since the beginning, I had problems with Sun's behavior due to which i ended up skipping most of their scenes. Even after they got together, i just mostly skipped through their cute couple moments. Wait, I just realised I skipped their cute moments but did not skip the cute moments (except in the ep 9) of the main couple. Meaning it's not the drama but the couple itself (maybe) which made me so whipped that i did not find 'em cringe??
2. THE ENDING . I had been pretty much professional in writing this review till now. But henceforth, i am about to be veryy unprofessional so i beg your pardon.
WHAT THE FUCK WAS that ending? just there for shockvalue (as another user said). Like seriously wtf was that and why was that? Why did they have to make shigu die. And that too they did not reveal till like mid way of the episode. i lost my mind speculating what happened. I eventually stuck to the theory that after ep 9 Hao had to go abroad for studies that is why this all was happening. But still i kept wondering where is Shi GU like why are they not showing him> then eventually they showed him in that cafe and i was like wow finally he is here. BUt then he mentions something about Hao's girl friend? my jaw literally dropped to the floor. I was just sitting there for like a solid minute processing what he just said. Is it a translation error? is he just teasing him? wth is going on? ohh okay so maybe they broke up because Hao had to go abroad. but no, they then drop the bomb that shigu is dead, died in an accident? what the fuck? what the living fuck are you saying? Then the rest of the episode is Hao trying to cope up with his loss, trying to move on.
Usually when they make dramas, one can pick up from a few episodes that the ending will be sad. But this? all 9 episodes were rainbows and sunshines then why make the last episode hysterical? why make it hurt so much? yes I cried alongside Hao.. I just seriously don't get why they had to do that? like why did you shigu the cute poofball had to die? makes no sense.

"don't all homosexuals deserve to go to hell"

This movie was really beautiful to watch. It conveyed a very deep message and was a reminder of the pain and struggle homosexuals had to go through before 'being gay' was normalized. The impact was so deep that at a point i LITERALLY started worshipping and FRANTICALLY and HYSTERICALLY started thanking all the people in the past all the ancestors who fought and fought and fought helplessly against homophobia. Due to them we have a world which is at least a bit more accepting.

i got into this movie knowing beforehand that it had a sad ending. I did not know how exactly it'd end but all i knew was that it's gonna be sad. The fact that i already knew the ending is sad made me more emotional (than i normally would've been )each time there was a sad scene coz i felt that this sad scene brings me a step closer to the doomed ending and it made me teary.

Hardly 10 minutes in the movie and i could already feel the chemistry between the two characters it was pure love. We could see their love for each other through their actions and their EYES,

The scene between jia chang and the priest screamed HEARTACHE.. The way jia chang was literally begging to be understood and accepted. The way he was LITERALLY suffering because he could not have the one he loved because it was a 'sin' to love a mann ahhhhh , The way he was begging to be sent to hell coz people would understand him there and also coz he would suffer less. As someome said in another review "how heartbroken you have to be to wish hell upon yourself" and that too JC was religious and a religious person longing for hell not heaven? Ah god how he must suffer....

The scene between birdy and jia chang at jia chang's house was my most favorite scene especially these particular dialogues
JC; "so we are only best friends now?"
B: "what do you want then?"
JC: ....
MOM: blah blah
B: " what if he never has a girlfriend?"
JC: "WANG po te..... stop being an asshole. How is it your business if i get a gf or not?"
B: " so who doesn't have the balls now huuh?.............. can you stop bothering me?"

I love this scene the most because it clearly shows where they are standing rn. Birdy is trying to show JC that they cant be together. He challenges JC to reveal that he is gay (twice) before his parents, knowing that JC wont do it thus he will be able to show JC that they should not take it any further coz its 'wrong' and coz they simply CANNOT

I SHATTERED at the scene in their old age when the priest said "you look alike. your smiles and the things you like." ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shiballlllllllll that really hurttttt

This was the very first movie.. rather first piece of entertainment media (out all manhwa manhua manga anime and other dramas movies ive watched) that i consumed where i literally analyzed every second, every scene of the movie. I literally tried to deconstruct analyze every scene because i knew it'd be heartbreaking and i wanted to make sure that my heart not just breaks but SHATTERS into pieces.

This movie has basically left a deep impact on me and i dont have words to express my feelings (im bad at doin tht anyway)
about the ending, ngl it was a bit meh i like the fact that they reunited after so many years
Also i'd like to mention that the timeline of the story was quite hard to understand i was always confused, wondering wether its the past or present. And there were also manny random cuts between scenes which made it even more difficult.

ep 1 okayy now i watched a drAMA yesterday(First love, again) in which they hugged in the 2nd or 3rd ep and i felt that it was too fast paced....now in this drama(life love on the line) its only the first ep and they are already kissing yet it does not feel fast at all??? i guess the reason is that in the previous drama their feelings for each other were not actually "visible" to me as audience..even if there were alr 2 eps they did not have any chemistry...However inn this drama, one ep in and we can alr see the llove through their eyes mannnn so maybe that is why the kiss did not feel fast paced coz there was development of feelings first which was visible..

ep 2 2:45 goshhh why doesn't this feel rushed at all?? maybe coz of the same above reason 8:20 ahhhh

ep 4 15:12 shocked enough to see an Indian but was even more shocked when she started speakingn hindiii wahhhhh

*****NOW REVIEW*******
This was one of the most or probably THE most realistic drama i have watched so far. Initially i did not have much expectations since this only had 4 episodes. However ill have to admit i was surprised at how this one was delivered and it did not disappoint. The first 2 eps were very fluffy ofc since it was them when they were youthful and full of energy with not many responsibilities on their shoulders. As i mentioned earlier, Akira already kissed Yuki in the first episode. Yet, it did not feel rushed at all because they had the Chemistry, Akira had the "look of love " in eyes so it felt okay (with the other drama i watched. .well there was very less to no chemistry so even the hug felt too much)..As i said the first 2 episodes were really fluffy and i expected the series to follow the same track with a lil angst here and there but NO
Things took an unexpected turn..I did not expect them to show the characters live through their 17, 19, 20 21, 28 all these years together.I thought the story will end when they are in highschool itself but no. They went far and beyond and then, the storm arrived.. We could clearly see the change in Akira's character he had become more "serious" about life, leaving all their teenage fantasies behind...while Yuki, he was still the same kid he was when he was 17.
things were becoming serious and akira wanted to live a normal life but being gay is not normal so he broke up with Yuki and ended their 11 year long relationship, married another girl, 5 yrs or maybe 3 yrs later proceeded to break her heart as well.then looked for yuki as he realised his love for him and realised that he couldnot do this anymore...then met yuki and had his own "happily ever after"

Now as much as i hate Akira, i can totally relate to him (does that mean i hate myself...? hahaha..yes) but wait i cannot completely relate to his "wanting to live a normal life" thing. What i can relate to is "loving someone too much" yes he loved yuki too much which is one of the reasons (besides the normal life thing) why he left him.. Always being anxious, not wanting to leave their side, being affected by everything they do. I can totally relate. When you love someone too much, you are also too over the top scared of losing them too. You feel that if one day they would die or go away or whatever, you would not be able to bear that which is why Akira (probably mee too) decided to run away. Ik thats cowardly, and i am not trying to justify the cowardice..IT IS wrong ik it...your cowardice is not a reason to hurt someone ik and as i said im not justifying it..im just giving an insight as to WHY and HOW it's like that.

about the ending well, i have mixed feelings i actually did not want them to get back together but then seeing how much they love each other and how Yuki too is heartbroken to not be besides Akira, i was like okay, as long as you (yuki) are okay, im okay too.

as for the rating, its not a 10 or 9 for me but def a 8 smthin

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD. YOUVE BEEN WARNED

Every single second of this movie was worth it. Two pure souls who do everything in their power to help each other navigate through and endure the pain that life throws at them.
Hayasaka's selfless act of hiding his own pain so that he could help the girl who he just met. This shows how pure and innocent he was. He was because he was going to die soon, about to commit suicide, but seeing Sakura looking forward to "going to heaven" he made up his mind to make sure that the time that she has left on this earth, she cherishes it.. And his determination and devotion paid off Sakura did say "earlier, i wanted to die as soon as possible, but now i want to live. Even a day, a minute, a second longer is enough. But I WANT TO LIVE" shit this had my heart.

The way Sakura knew that Hayasake too is on the verge of death, he is scared of death, yet he is devoting the little time he has left to her was everything. The way Sakura helped him even after she herself died was everything.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the parallels(?) shown before and after Sakura's death. I am talking about how when Sakura was in the hospital, Hayasaka visited her and brought flowers and then Amy (SakurAI's friend) did the same when Hayasaka was in the hospital (after Sakura's death)... I honestly thought the drawing book scene was the end.. meaning Sakura's "after death" message to Hayasaka was over and now we would see Hayasaka living the best life the way Sakura wanted him to(which he did)...but no there was more and it was fucking beautiful. The INSTAGRAM POST, IT was literally everything it showed how hella much Sakura loved hayasaka. It showed hoe Hayasaka made her life do a complete 360 (from wanting to go to heaven to wanting to live ) that instagram post literally made me cry like shit.,

And i CANNOT talk enough about the Gerbera thing... 6 gerberas 3 gerberas omg both of them loved each other so much..They completely altered each other's life in the little time they had together....ohh and i guess Amy also fell for Hayasaka considering she painted 3 gerbaras on his nails but well Hayasaka never knew it because he thought she just drew those gerberas without knowing the meaning behind it (as he mentioned in his instagram post)...Oh and the ending told through Amy's pov was also really meaningful.....

wahhhhhh i really loved this movie PS im bad with names dont mind me..heheh

this drama..mann at the beginning i had so mamy unanswered questions..i was completely surprised upon knowing that yoon oh was a ghost..when i came to know that ,i had so many questions like how in the first episode the three of em were talking but yoon oh was dead?? at the beginning it seemed like mom could see yoon oh..and then suddenly after the revealation she couldnt see him...maybe i was wrong..maybe the mom couldnt see yoon from the beginning and i just didnt realise it?

honestly i was kinda bored in the first 3 episodes...but then i watched it anyway and i dont regret that i did
the series was quite good after ep 3 or smthin and i pretty much liked it all over...i cried like a baby at the end...but i dont like the open ending...
and also the second couple(not sure if i can call them couple but anyway) i loved their story more compared the our mcs..honestly the 2nd couple and the last 2 episodes (eslecially the singing scene with mom and the ending scene with yoon and peach) thats what made me love the series...even after ep 3 i was still confused abt many things and the questions were never answered..i saw the comments woth people saying not to use logic here which i guess id agree...like in the scene of the mom and yoon which i absolutely loved..how did the mom touch yoon?? like wth..but its okay...now as for the rating idk what to rate i did like it but not to the point that id give it a 9 or 10 but its way too good to be rated anything below 8 HELPPP??

this series was doing pretty gud only to fucm everything in ep 9

hear me out.. everything upto ep 9 was just nice.. altho there were some problems and confusion.. like why didn't korn say anything when he was being accused by win in the first ep bcoz of the shares... why did win have so little trust in korn like actually I was veryyy irritated at thi.. like win has known korn for like more that 12 years and he accuses him like that??? unbelievable... and also I didn't like how bitchy wins character was at the beginning like him continuously screaming at his sister was unavceptable but okay... and also I have too bow down to korns patience.. I mean in the 2nd ep he tries soo damn hard to convince win to go w him but he just wouldn't lasn.. if it was me in his place I would hve just left him "do what ever j want" that's wt I wd hve said but okayy...

the whole road trip was very enjoyabble... but to be honest I'm not a fan of body swapping like altho it was win on the conscious level.. the body sti belonged to lin.. so all the kisses? well technically it was lin and not win... tbh there is this one manhwa 'at the end of the road' and it's my NO1 fav manhwa.. it also involves body swapping but i dont seem to have a problem w that.. but in case of this series.. I don't like the swapping(prolly coz after all win was in a girls body.. if it was a guy I still wd have liked it maybe?)... but I liveee the fact that even though it was lin's body.. to the audience it seemed like the interaction was between win and korn afterall so I loved that...

and win's doubt wheter korn likes him or lin was also quite understandable... but still it lacked COMMUNICATION like wtf I hatee thisss there was so much to be told.. but none of them said it... and also I don't like how it was alwaysssssssss korn reaching out to win when there were problems never win

that was all the problems upto ep 9 and it was quite alr till then
but the way they fucked it up in ep 9 is just ughhhh... broooooo first of all I don't understand at all why korn agreed to the engagement altho he liked win bro wtff??
like the mother asked if anything happened between them during the 7days ... korn couldve easily told her no and called off the engagement by saying he doesn't feel anything for her.. but no he just said yes to it...
Then I think I kinda get why win supported the engagement.. like he thought his sister liked korn so he just decided to sacrifice himself for his sister (altho it was not a good decision because win knew korn didn't like lin but he likes win.. so it wd make more sense for kornwin rather than kornlin) but ig win didn't care to consider korns feelings)? (I mean I can't blame him since korn agreed to the engagement) but this is soo fucked up like kornn broo just deny and cut off the engagement???

and brooooo that doctor and lin wereee sooo stupid??? like okay the plan was quite nice that they will go along w the engagement and force win to speak out his heart.. but didn't they think it was tok much like to act fake till the day of the engagement???? like what if they had got engaged fr??? and also it wd have been so embarrasing to call off the engagement like that???

and broo that mother was such a bitch.. like tbh since the first eps I thought she was a nice person but no!???????? she was a bitch broo who does that to their own kids... and also tbh I don't understand what made her change her mind so suddenly that she confessed to everything she did... and also I didn't like how she was forgiven soooo quickly like wthhhh

apart from this it was quite nice but mediocre the only nice thing was the 7say trip which again got a lil irritatinh coz of win's whining... but okayyy

okayy i haven't watched UWMA just to be clear

okayy i haven't watched UWMA just to be clear

okay so during the very first ep., I thot this drama is def gonna be slow paced but then omggggg the winteam end up doing it in the very first episode.. and i was stunned at that fact. This actually made me change my mind and i thot if it was slow paced.. will they really have sex in the very first ep?? and bruhhh omggg the sex scene of the fist el was too damn hott especially the consent part omgggg "call my hia win" that line was too hot ahhh.. okay but also I don't get the fact why win asked team to call him hia(brother) but let's jst ignore that

now in the second ep.. it was the same slow development but at the end the have sex.. and omg that was hot too.. like the sexual tension between winteam is simply mesmerising.. the way win looks at team.. and the way team breathes heavily omgggggg

then.. oh Lord the way they made us suffer... they showed all those scenes in the first 2 eps.. and the directly in ep 11..kmg omgggg
like I was def expecting there to be more sex scenes but no those scenes were not there and yet this series managed to lure me in (yeah I do like a lotta steamy scenes in dramas)

then the next tfew eps were kjnda boring to watch but at the same time they were quite enjoyable.. like j felt j just sat thru the next few eps.. but then omgg the whole "I realised I have feelinfs for him" part was amazing..
like both were in love w eo but win had this idea of not being able to call anything mine and fear of losing.. and team was simpley unsure of his feelings and finally they spoke out everything in ep 11 and oh boyyy... the acting in that eps was mindblowing... their crying faces seemed soo real. aand the way the told things thru singing was amazingg
tbh at around ep 5 or 6 I was quite determined to give this show a rating of 6.5 le 7 but that quickly changed once I saw ep 11 like that was just ahhhh
and that last ep where everyonnnww gathers together smiling happilg made me cry tears of joy (maily coz of wjnteam) like the way win was looking at teamm and hot they needed up ahhhhhhhh

okayy now the rating I've given was solely based on winteam and not the other couples (ik it doesn't makes sense since I'm rating the drama and the drama includes all the couples sk how can i rate based on winteam ky? well coz they are the main focus of the series.. like the series is mainly about THEM)

TAlkin abt the other characters(no hate to actors)
DEAN.. I'll straight up say I didn't like the acting.. like I just didn't like the way this character carries himself and the way he projects himself in front of people.. alsk the acting of this character also seems a bit off j just plainly didnt like it

PHARM is that shy little bottom acting cute all the time like not exactly "acting cute" but if I'm being honest.. I don't like it when people do this ohh I'm shy ohh I'm gonna look away, up, down coz I'm shy.. oh j gonna act cute in front of my bf/gf(this happens a lot in korean dramas.. that's y I didn't like cherry blossoms after winter) so like if all these things happen I just feel irrotated like brook wthhh and pharm is really that timid, soft, no self respect? kinda character which j hatee(again ni hate to actor coz idk him at all)

Manow.. okay so this character is quite nice outgoing.. making people laugh.. good sense of jimkur and all but the problem is that she is quite annoying and a bit cringey at times.. but id say whenever she comes up altho I get annoyed too much a smile wd still appear on my face coz she's always smiling and also coz of the dialouges(script)

okay now I wanna say smthing about manow pharm and teams friendship.. like tbh I really hated the fact that they kinda hide things from eo.. like how do u call them friends if they have secrets.. like tbh idk if they three were that close of frie ds to share everything but i still didn't like how each of them were trying to keep the fact secret that they have met their lover and always changed the topic when it came up.. (or maybe I'm just kberthinking a d you don't have to share EVERYTHING with your friends ds?)

preuk.. I do t have anything to say abt him.. this character is just there coz of manow.. oh but he's good at hibin advice to win.. and also j noticed this characters way of speaking resembles p'win's way of speaking from f4thailand which I watched recently

ABC were also quite cringe to watch.. overreactimg al the time

TALKING abt Bee and prince their story was okay but Bee omg he acts like a guy mad in love and like I just don't know how tk describe him but anyways I didn't like him either

so yeah I have a lotta negative comments abt the side characters but that's just my opinion nk hate to anyone
.. but yeah if I wd have rated this show based on all the couples it wd have been low.. but I never do that like i personally just focus on the main couple of the show the side ones like if they are not there.. it wouldn't bother me (that's too harshhh)

love? nahh... rather it's obsession

where do i begin?? ohh boi... this is one of the dramas that i would love but also hate it..

The reason? well because it is too serious and dark.. whan it's romance I'm more into fluff(it shouldn't be cringe tho) and the dramas which are too serious and dark... make me horrified and traumatised(this could be a lil exaggerated)...
These types of dramas make me think a lil tooo deep about life and that's what I'm scared of the most because when I think deep.. it's too negatively deep

And this drama did that exactly... the two bois ohh Lord.. they just simply loved each other but one was going/about to go? down the wrong lane(sleeping with guysdespite being underage) because he couldn't be intimate with his crush (who is also his best friend) as he wasn't sure if he felt the same way too...

So he decided to satisfy(?) himself using others(?) sounds stupid buymt you'll understand once you're in that situation yourself... that's when the crush(kazuma) stepped in and asked ren to have sex with him instead.. and they did it.. at that very night kazuma became sick and was hospifalized
And Lord the hell ren had to go through criticisms from everyone., facing everything all one, thinking he is the cause of kazumas sickness and possibly death, living all alone in France with no one.. (idk if he would have survived if not for that yagami guy who was also Japanese)
And then they reunite... tackle their past together and live happily ever after..
And also I would like to mention that the scene where the couple talked with the mom was very emotional and i cried after watching that (although j would have liked it more if the mom directly said that she wants kazuma to be with her)

My take on this drama: a drama I would usually avoid but liked it anyways... I hated the acting it didn't feel natural.. I also did not think that it was strong love(as the mother mentions is 8th ep I guess).. rather it was obsession... why I think it's obsession.. well because nothing of the characters I believe never had any exposure to other people.. they were stuck on the past and were not ready to accept anyone else.. (tbh I can't explain clearly why I think it's obsession and not love.. but i feel that it's not love)

would I recommend it??? hell yeahhhh

loved itt

I loved this drama..it's short and sweet...I'm not fan of very long dramas so this one was a short a plus for me
first of all I haven't watched the original so idk if this one has covered everything from the original drama..but if it did cover everything then hatss off to the maker of this drama since wrapping everything up within 8 eps that too like 20 mins each is no easy jobb

the actors were all nice...the story development was nice as well...just before this I watched "the director who buys me dinner" i didn't like it since it felt rushed and offered no development...while this one being almost the same length as the director who buys me dinner offered great development and the romance also didn't felt like it was just there for fansercice...the kisses ahhhhh gave me butterflies ahhh

but one thing to complain about is..the second couple like I like them but it just felt weird..like sunwoo says he can't date GO because GO is dating dohyeon but at the same time he also kisses him???? like doesn't makes sense...I didn't like that u don't kiss ur best friends mann bruhhh

I loved this

..I personally liked this show...I heard a lot of people saying that she shd have dated atleast one of the guys but for me it was okay for me..actually I wanted her to not break any of the 4 men's heart but that just wasn't possible...so ig it's ok that she chose none

apart from this I felt that the voice of the character was very low and inaudible at tims

I remember laughing and crying...I cried so hard when the best friend got his heart broken and I literally loved the CEO he was PROB by fav (I'm actually in a dilemma as to who's my fav)
I actually also got emo when all of the 4 guys came running at the police station..like they love her sm but have to get their heart broken
