I love the Cdrama so much, 10 minutes in to this version and I find the FL too annoying, she talks a lot which is not the case on the original and the novel. I like the quiteness that wang zi wen exudes in the cdrama.
more like 3 times, since she was the uncle of the lady who sells the fried dough/the one who raised her when as ban ji eum, then as joo won and the her current life (19th)
It's because yoon joowon and ban jieum are different person both physically and emotionally, cmiiw (I don't read…
i get what you mean, about it (18 lives) being just memories over lived experiences... but the way it was explained in the drama, Ive yet to read the webtoon, she actually lived through all those experiences thru memory, I mean it was not just some memories that she remembered but actually lived thru all those lives by acquiring all those memories, I mean she remembers all those lives enough to acquire every bit of talent and skills that those lives have. She even wishes to have it end, making me assume that she was tired with life since she had live through it all. if we go by your explanation, I wish we could see more of different personalities from each lives, instead of making it seems that the first 18 lives has this certain melancholy feel and then the 19th life becomes this quirky personality.
the whole 4 episode is just okay, nothing extraordinary... Joo won and young Seo Ha has more chemistry compared with the adult leads. The thing that bothers me is that, there is a disconnect between the personality of Joo Won and Ban Ji Eum, young Joo Won is presented to be much more mature than adult Ban Ji Eum. Joo Won seems to be quiet and mature and acts beyond her age while Ban Ji Eum is quirky, weird and reckless. The main character, or at least all the 19 lives of the MC, lacks cohesion.
What changed in 2010 that he decided not to really act/be super selective? Something must have changed
If you look at his filmography, he rarely do movies and his last drama was 2002, he probably wanted to quit earlier but wanted to end it with a last hurrah, the man from nowhere was both critically and a box office success
I found the ending sad and very confusing⁉️ Would like to get your comments on the following questions and…
It has been years since Ive read the novel, so my recollection is a bit fuzzy but to answer some of your question
1. basically just to save her, YX was quite determined to kill him
2. that tattoo only existed on the drama and it was not explained clearly but it might have to do with her powers (again only on the drama that it was hinted that she has some kind of superpower that does not exist on the novel.) the novel has a transmigration storyline hence they changed it since transmigration is banned in cdramaland.
3. Yes she did, she end up with YWY.
4. Again this is only in the drama.
5. He saved A'chu and lied to her that YWY died or maybe he also thought YWY died. and YX basically kept her hostage.
6. This one I cant remember in the novel, maybe it was not part of the novel.
I finished it and I still can’t figure out if there is romance or just friendship/a strong bond between them
I would say, not romantic but also not friendship, they are each other's resting place. At their most turbulent point in life, where they are barely hanging on, them just being in each other's space, makes breathing a little bit easier. That is how I describe their relationship.
Hopefully they will not ruin it by adding another love team and focusing on them. Let the story focus on NM and…
Im okay with the love team, what Im concerned about is, this would be a super long long series... we do have a history of as long as people are watching it, we will never end it... 😂
