Why is the 1st Prince in Mochuan though? Is he in exile or is there some other reason. I might have missed it.

YZ and LW are lacking in the romance department. They have very few sweet interactions and when it happens, it’s so short. Hopefully, the remaining episodes will make up for it.

I feel that the next villain will be the 4th Prince. Wasn’t it the 4th Prince’s wife that went to SGJ to tell her that YQ’s life is in danger and instigated her to do something which made SGJ go to the prison recklessly, and would have ended badly if Concubine Chun didn’t stop her?

After everything that the 2nd and 5th Princes said about the King’s ways of being a father, one would think he had learned his lesson from his mistakes. I’m hoping that the King is doing this to finally determine who will be his successor since the ministers are all pushing him to choose one.

I’m not really sure if YZ is doing all of this to be King or just to be a minister who can be a catalyst for change.

Agree to your comment on the King and 2nd Prince. Their actions were despicable, but when they had their father and son confrontations, it tugged my heart, which is surprising because they were the villains (for lack of a better word) in the drama. I almost felt sorry for the 2nd Prince when he left for his exile. Almost. 🤭😅 Their acting was superb. I want to applaud and have someone wring their necks at the same time. 😂

I don’t think 2nd prince realizes that it was YZ who found a legal clause wherein he can escape death penalty because when YZ visited him, he was still in a roll with the blame game and how YZ must have plotted against him to get his spot. Or if he does, he chooses to ignore it and blame everyone but himself for his downfall.

I cried buckets on YY and LW scenes. First time that a legal wife and a concubine have this kind of relationship (I avoid harem dramas like the plague) . When YY told YZ that she would take LW with her if she didn’t know how YZ treats LW, that had me bawling.

YY and YZ marriage delayed the progress of the romance between the main leads but it helped YZ and LW to grow to be the best of themselves while YY found friendship with LW, the wives and concubines, and made her realize her worth and to let herself to become what she wanted to be.

The previews for tomorrow’s episodes got me giddy. Hopefully we can see more romance between LW and YY, and seeing the latter acting childish and jealous when he’s usually so rational and in control of his emotions is so cute. 🥰

But removing his title and disowning his son is too much. YZ got it right, the jade (?! Can’t remember clearly) can be molded into a weapon, but children cannot. The king being an illegitimate son himself knows how difficult it is to be in court, he knew he made mistakes with his sons, but after realizing it, he did nothing. He could have assigned his sons in areas that they are good at and not just force them to head a ministry they don’t care about.

For the life of me, I’m still pissed at the king for giving something to the 2nd prince on his way to exile unlike what he did to the 5th prince. Left him with literally nothing.

2nd prince got off his mistakes so easily, he did so many despicable things and he was just exiled. Was his title as a prince removed? He was the one who should be disowned.

5th prince’s mistake was he just wanted to protect YZ from being punished. Understand that as a king, he has so many worries and he must be a ruler first before a father. He knew that YQ was innocent but he let him pay heavily. Removing his title, disowning him as his son and then letting him be a commoner with nothing but the clothes on his back. The king pitted his children against each other, using YZ to draw out the crown prince and sacrificing YQ. He might have felt bad for his decisions but YS punishment shouldn’t be that extreme. He made that decision to appease the court, but as a father, he should have done something to make his son understand and accept that he is truly looking out for his son.

Not really in love, more like infatuated. In ep 1, YQ was holding HJ’s portrait and he informed the Queen that he wanted YQ. But YS, since he is the crown prince and he showed interest to HJ after the latter found a way to approach him, HJ was married to YS.

Remember when LW and SGJ were punished, LQ went to HJ and gave her medicine which made SGJ very mad and kicked LQ.

She and her baby are staying at the restaurant together with the solar women.

Also when Butler Su told him that LW was called by his mother to go to the palace, he left immediately because he was worried she might be scolded or punished. 🥰🥰🥰

I am secretly hoping this is true. King should have known Prince Song's character by now after the way he treated HaoJia and maybe he wants to trap him in his own web.

Poor YQ, he was punished for helping HJ. Makes me wonder if SGJ was thinking if YQ still likes HJ because he was so worried while they were waiting for news on HJ. There was a few seconds when SGJ was staring at YQ.

Actually, I do not understand why the King did not treat YZ well when YZ is the son of his favored concubine. However, ever since YZ has joined the court, the King has been playing chess with him and not with crown prince so maybe he knows and understands YZ strategies.

After watching tonight’s episodes, I agree. Must be a slow, painful death.

LW has been the most diplomatic and peace keeper among their lot, and for her to initiate the slap, it’s so out of character for her. Though I understand why she did it, but still! She slapped a royal, and the crown prince at that!

😂 That would be interesting but that trope is censored in China. 😅 LW is the glue that binds the wives and concubines together, so she is adored by many.

His father will not easily grant that divorce, so yeah, YZ should earn enough power for him to make LW as his legal wife.

I’m secretly hoping that LW is a relative of the royal family in her state or something and not just a commoner from a poor family. 😉

As much as I admire YY, I hope she and YZ can divorce already so that the main leads can start their own marriage life. But yeah, I hope YY will also have her HEA.

5th prince initially wanted to marry HJ but ended up with SGJ. It made me think if HJ would be a better wife for him, but I adore LQ and SGJ’s relationship more.
