Because the story is so long and convoluted, one season and 40 episodes cannot cover them all. When I checked the novel before the show aired, I instantly knew we were gonna be in for at least 2 seasons.

I agree with your point on Zengzeng and Haoyun. At first, i was worried whether Haoyun was leaning toward Da Qi. But after watching the BTS special for the CP, I realized there were so many interactions between the two that were cut from the show. They had already been building their connection day by day; their trust in each other was quite firm. That may explain why in later episodes, Haoyun had been sticking around Zengzeng more and more (like sitting together during group meals, walking, joking around, taking photos of each other while the other members were there, ...), and Zengzeng wasn't too bothered with Da Qi's date with Haoyun.

Plus, Zengzeng's emotional stability and maturity really helped putting Haoyun at ease whenever she felt bad. He brought her food, medicine, flowers, gifts, and hang out with her every chance he got. It's just that those moments were not shown (might be becuz the production wanted to sell the love triangle storyline). Da Qi seems like a good guy and a good friend to have, but Zengzeng and Haoyun's connection was already so deep that he stood very little chance. Hope he can find the right one soon tho. He deserves it.

The friendship between all the members in season 6 is really great.

Haha no problem. I was about to write a paragraph to complain too, that they did Zengzeng dirty by cutting so many scenes of his actions in taking care of Haoyun during their time there. I know Da Qi seems like a really good guy, but they were pushing and praising him so hard that it overshadowed how great Zengzeng is too. I felt a bit upset during the cast reunion episode where they tried to sneak in Da Qi in the conversation abt the ZhaoJin couple. But I guess they were just satisfying the fans' needs. And that the commentators are overall really great anyway. And the couple didn't seem to mind.

me too!!! they are my no.1 fav couple. Hou-ge and Yang-jie are my 2nd fav.
I felt Zengzeng and Haoyun (Lucky) are very genuine and heartwarming. Their bonding moments were not captured often in the show (becuz the production wanted to push the triangle loveline with Da Qi), but their bond seems to be very deep.

She said that after he rejected her many advances. But do u think she really mean that? A person's heart is soft; she was hurt by his indifferences, so of course she would say that as a defense of mechanism. I know the ML asked that question again because he wanted to reaffirm her feeling for him (maybe he may have already started to like her too at that point), but the damage was done. She has become pessimistic toward their situation; she's just playing along as cool and sarcastic. She thought he's gonna reject her again, so why still lay bare her heart?

She no longer has feeling for sml. When u watch the drama, u'll see her chemistry with ML is greater

they met when FL was at the vila. i wouldn't say they were lovers, but they were pretty close. FL was spending a lot of time with LJX as his eyes were injured.

SML is a psycho indeed. The chemistry between ML and FL being not the best is understandable. After all, they spent a majority of the episodes being siblings. So, it can be hard to shift their dynamic to lovers in the last 10 (maybe?) episodes. Even Yining herself still refers to Shenyuan as Third Brother after the birth of their son lol

I'm also just expressing my opinion which happens to contrast with yours.

lol fare enough, it might not be your cup of tea. BUT, don't generalize your opinion and assume you represent everyone else. I enjoy this drama very much. I like the direction the screenwriters take with the story, which is different from the novel, but it's reasonable. I consider this another version of the story of Luo Shenyuan and Yining, and a good one at that.

Finally peace and tranquility at the last episode. The moment LJX is gone, the tension dissipates. The main couple can truly breathe easy and enjoy their lives.

the book and the drama are very different. The alternative ending is one of the extra chapters at the end of the book.
