Oh gosh that sucks lol Moving is one of my favorite dramas. Should i watch this drama? Is it worth it? I like…
ahhh, there is minimal jumpscare in 'The Guest' actually. More of a creepy and suspicious feeling of not knowing who is possessed. You don't see the actual face of the main evil spirit, only the symptoms of a possessed person.
If you want Romance, some of my favourites include: - The Forbidden Marriage - The Queen (more of pure comedy xD) - The King's Affection - Hospital Playlist (have really fun romances [many doctor couples]. Although romance is not the main element, it really blends well in the medical focus) - The Red Sleeve - Moon River - A dream within a deam (A chinese drama that has a lot of comedies as well)
I'm a big fan of Moving, but i think two dramas are different takes in same genre. Moving is a 20 eps long form…
I know it's unfair to compare the two. But after coming from watching such a masterpiece, I can't help but bring unrealistic expectations when trying this new series. I like the chemistry of the main couple, but the rest of the series is nothing new.

No problem! Just sharing my thoughts.
If you want to stay in the supernatural genre, I'd say "The Light Shop" is also a masterpiece. The interconnectedness of different characters' stories are really clever and logical. You can experience many emotions in it too: one minute it can scare the hell out of you, another can make you cry like a baby. It also shares the same universe with "Moving" by the way. They just haven't cross-overed yet, but I've read somewhere that there will be a crossover between the two series in the future seasons. So I'm definitely looking forward to that!
"The Guest" is also another great one, but it's more of a ghost/spirit possession and exorcism. That one is interesting because the three main characters are of three different religious beliefs. One is a Korean shaman, another one is an atheist police woman, and the third one is a Catholic exorcist priest. It's fascinating to see how they (sometimes) work together bringing their own specialties (and trauma xD) to deal with supernatural cases. It's crime-solving and has a lot of plot twists that will definitely fool you many times as to who the villain is.

U can try a couple of episodes. But don't expect the level of World-building like Moving. Also, since there are only 8 ep in this, it's not enough time to flesh out the characters and the story. It's gonna feel time-skippy and have less explanation on any of the 'superpowers'. Meanwhile, Moving has the liberty of 20 episodes to meticulously build their world.
I can see the writer wants to break out from the 'superhuman' tropes (MC finding out abt their power, meet other people also with powers, an org hunting down the superhumans...). There are some points in the story that the writer kinda took a peek outside the trope, but only ended up falling back to the cliches, never truly trying anything new. There are untapped potentials of course (could have played around the powers in more creative ways, or making the characters's dynamic and motivation more nuanced), but didn't make full creative use out of those.
A bad idea watching this after "Moving". This isn't bad per say, but nowhere near Moving quality, in terms of story, characters, and VFX (of course, I know the production size between the two series are different).
One of the only few horror K-drama that I dared to watch and enjoyed immensely. The other ones are Light Shop and Kingdom. Train to Busan is a movie, so not counted as a drama xD.
I think the ML is 39 (he was 9 when he ran away and the current time was 30 years after that), and the FL is in her late 20's (she started training with gun at around 15-18, and it's been 10 years since her training so she's around 25-28).
Can not fault the acting from the veteren actors specifically. Tip top.
Yep. If anything, they are the ones who carried the drama. Chen Xiao's performance was good, but nothing spectacular or more special than his previous roles. Sun Qian's screentime was too short to be a FL (I think this drama is very ML centric.)
If you ignore the plotholes and plotlines that led to nowhere, you'll love it. The acting was superb from every character. I watched without burdening myself with the perfectness of the story, so I enjoyed it very much.
