Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
It’s mentioned that Ting is the child of his maid so looks like he adopted him like Mingzhu
i dont know how the screenwriters decide on that, but he's his real son in the novel

2. Luo x (the one who died) should be Luo Huaiyuan. That's his name in the novel. And he's actually alive too…
Yes and that's what i like about this adaptation. They change the characters and also factor in what their decisions affect the whole story (Butterfly effect).

He will most likely have more screen time now until the end and I don't mind 2ML's scenes. It's very interesting…
lol same same

Yeah i guess so too. He'll probably make a sacrifice to some extent.
But it's tough to guess how it turns out since the big conflict in the drama now is Shenyuan avenging his master. That means going against Wang Yuan + SML. Unless that conflict directly endangers Yining's life, I don't see how SML would change his side. (maybe Yining agrees to marry Shenyuan; then Wang Yuan uses her to blackmail Shenyuan. Then SML would turn on Wang Yuan to save her)

Ting is not adopted. He's the Duke's blooded son with a maid. Mingzhu is adopted from a (far) relative (surnamed Zhao)

well, he did in the novel, and she kinda loved him too because they were married, but she died (it's a rebirth situation). But their situation/history with each other was a mess (not that the story was bad; i mean their entanglement was complicated).

That said, the drama and the novel are going in a different direction. There are many changes made with the timeline, plotline, character dynamics, etc. So, we can't make any prediction based on the novel. Which makes this very exciting to see how it will go.

Hahahaha I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who can't stand the sight of him too.
I also skipped the SML scenes in Princess Royal. Cuz I already read the novel, I don't really need to see him in the drama again. Only watched the main leads.

I really have to compliment the screenwriting in this drama. I thought the two NYE dinners were brilliantly done.…
haha someone who shall not be named.
(After reading the novel, I can't stand even saying his name)

For those who start watchingLuo Family Children1. Luo Yiyu2. Luo x (deceased, Yiyu's brother)3. Luo Shenyuan4.…
2. Luo x (the one who died) should be Luo Huaiyuan. That's his name in the novel. And he's actually alive too in the novel, but it seems the drama has changed a lot.

There should be another eldest sister (first born daughter) called Luo Yihui. She's Yining's real older sister (or half sister as they were born from the same mother). But the drama didn't include her. I thought she's pretty influential too in the novel (a badass daughter who loves and raises Yining with grandma and rules the Second household until she marries).

yes the novel definitely has the vibe of grooming which is a bit yuck for me. I'm glad that the adaptation is rewriting/rearranging the plots or going with a modern take. Still, this is like having 2 versions of the story (no rebirth, changing the age, changing characters' personalities and dynamics, different power struggles, etc.) which I don't complain at all. I'm satisfied with the novel; let's hope the drama delivers as well.

yeah to each their own, i guess. To me personally, it makes me reflect my own relationship sometimes, being in a long-distance one myself. It's tough. So i kinda relate to this drama in a sense.

Title What Comes after Love Spoiler
The acting is good, the chemistry is nice but the writing is meh, I see no beauty in term of an artistic point…
Yeah it's not heart-fluttering. It feels heart-wrenching to me. But I think we can still enjoy the drama and get the messages without it being inspiring. It's about how we see it from the characters' perspectives. Were what Jungo and Hong do right? What would we do if we were them?

For me, the lessons that I learned from the drama are:

1. Love in another country where the language is different, the culture is subtly different (no matter how close geographically-in this case Japan-Korea), and the communication style is different is DIFFICULT. So prepare yourself before you're about to enter into one. The language barrier is a b*tch to overcome.

2. Communicate your needs with your partner. The same goes for the partner as well (the pair should have a heart-to-heart talk with each other often). Jungo not fulfilling his promises to Hong, or at least not even giving her a heads-up when he couldn't come is BAD. And Hong tolerating it until she couldn't do it anymore is also bad. A recipe for disaster.

3. Going into another relationship without coming to term with your feeling (e.g. not getting over the previous love yet) is basically having a rebound. Totally unfair for the new partner. If you're not ready for it yet, don't give the other person false hope. Hong was pulling Min Jun along until she realized her reality.

Like one of the comments said, this gives us tips on what to NOT do in a relationship.

I wouldn’t say there’s no romantic feelings for the ML. It’s more not recognizing for what it really is…
yeah because up to now, they are still "officially" blood siblings, that's why i think she's been holding back that thought. Let's see what happens when the truth is revealed
