I know some new censorship rules were passed recently right? Does it maybe mean the drama, not being released…
I really dunno much about how the new rules could have affected Unchained Love tbh. But, I doubt it would affect the Joy of Life series because ZRY said in an interview he did recently that Joy of Life would start filming next year
ya'll just be saying anything, it passed the censorship for the longest time now, it's just waiting for the airing…
From the way I framed my sentence, it's obvious that those aren't my own words and that I'm just reporting/quoting something that I saw. If you have a problem then take it up with the person who posted it on Twitter
Hi friends :) I'm starting to watch/English-sub this drama here: https://www.captionfy.com/playlist/song-of-life--%E4%B8%89%E6%82%A6%E6%9C%89%E4%BA%86%E6%96%B0%E5%B7%A5%E4%BD%9C----eng-subbed…

Apparently it wasn't because of the national day but because the CCP would be holding elections this month. So all platforms are putting the release of their major dramas on hold
I saw a rumour that it was because the Chinese National day is on the 16th so they don't want to risk getting on the bad side of the government if discussions surrounding the show overshadows the celebration
I keep trying to work through my emotions about this show... and it's tough. 1. It's a beautiful production2.…
It's not supposed to be an epic. More like a cute romantic fairytale a la Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella etc. Which is probably why it's a rather self contained story and doesn't span multiple lifetimes or ages unlike other Xianxia.
I guess people like it for the same reasons they like the western fairytales I mentioned earlier. Personally it gives me nostalgia about when I first watched Disney's Beauty and the Beast as a kid. It's nothing particularly new or groundbreaking but just a combination of tropes done right.
IDK why, but whenever I see Lord Rong Hao I'm always reminded of William Chan in Pearl Eclipse.
They were both in a drama Lost Love in Times where they played brothers. For the first 10 episodes, I kept confusing them for each other because they looked SO alike... almost like twins
The trailer is out already u can watch. He is pretty cool. Similar to dongfang qincangs character.
Dylan's character's brother was the real eunuch but was murdered. He stole his brother's identity and entered the palace to find the murderer and get revenge.

Some overzealous fans really need to chill out and stop causing fan wars over little things.
