First determine what you want in a drama. It's possible this is not for you.

Exactly. You can tell why this character is behaving this way, why this is necessary, where this action is taking us to without some character in the drama having to tell you outright that character A wants to die, character B wants to take revenge or character AB is planning a coup or sth. We've lost the ability to detect nuance and interpret dialogue and subtle innuendos

I feel like a lot of people are consuming this shallowly on a surface level because so many things are already laid down in the drama itself so I don't get some of these takes. Dialogues and scenes should lead you not forcefeed you. No disrespect intended but this is the kind of attention span required for a short drama not something with depth. I also have complaints regarding some things but the takes I'm seeing here are disappointing

Considering the introduction I thought we can all tell the 5th prince is basically a possessed corpse, that's just sxy hiding

She did say she's going to continue working with him, just not be a couple also she's not in Nandu for him she's doing her thing, what did you want her to do after meeting him, scold him??? Afterall she's always indulged him regardless of romance. I do agree about the new characters thing but they're necessary and basically have been shown at least once or mentioned in earlier episodes

Just keep in mind that the genre is romance and healing in relation to the ml and fl so every other thing doesn't have to be shown in detail conquering the remaining cities is gonna happen and there'll be a time skip for some of that except the battles with plot devices. The guixu part was for ml to get to know her and the kind of world she lived in which shaped her character we also got to see how he realizes how much he has to face and what he's getting himself into. Regarding the second ml isn't it already very obvious she knows what he's doing, has been playing him for 300yrs and is finally deciding to wrap him up?

It's primarily a romance so it's not trying to build up some big conflict in expense of the romance so it's there in the background, subtle but not overtaking the main genre which is romance. If you notice the fl is building up towards something and yeah she's op that's why she's the king but even she has a weakness and that's Duan Xu. Being a healing romance with nature itself against them the endpoint ofc has to be related to the romance itself.

Not really. He's not someone gone rogue for love only. It's more complex than that. Although yeah it's not exactly a unique role but let the man pursue his range I quite like his diverse portfolio

The obsession is usually what someone pursued in life but never had so they're obsessed and they manifest as evil spirits who would do anything to attain that thing and they're never satiated. It's kinda like punishment so I don't think she would want that, and Duan Xu isn't obsessed with her He's in love with her. Compare it with Yan Ke's and Bai Sanxing's feelings which fit obsession

Nah that's just what a typical xianxia or xuanhuan would do. That's not the case here
