And it's really not that hard to defeat them in human form they're basically crippled, strength like in humans is also different for every individual, they just won't stay dead. Fiends are allergic to sunlight in their natural form. The jewel on the sword is probably just ceremonial the dressing up is just protective clothing since there'll be blood. The new fiends will be explained today I think they're the successful humanoid fiends she's made during the 20 years, like there really aren't many of them just like 6 or so that's why Lin is so careful because it's not a 100% chance of success.
