I don’t get why the FL likes the ML... it’s so sudden, am I missing something? Lol. Also, she’s supposed to be a war general, but why is she mopping around all day over the ML and doing random stuff instead of finding all the ways to stop the war?
This is my first Taiwanese drama in years! I didn’t think I would enjoy this drama as much as I actually did. Went in with no expectations and was hoping to just pass time while waiting for The Wolf with eng subs. But damn... I fell in love with this drama and completed it in 2 days. It has one of the most beautiful and satisfying endings (so rare in dramaland..) with all questions in the drama answered.
Honestly, I was annoyed with the FL in the first few episodes, her character was so over the top and I find it creepy that she was spying on the ML (while in the shower etc) but her character got much better as the drama progresses. The drama really picked up once the ML and FL got together in the romance novel and I absolutely love the last 5-6 episodes. I enjoyed their time in the romance novel but I personally love their interactions most when they are back in the real world.
The show has soooo much potential, but the writer really messed up the plot so badly midway through the drama till the end. What’s with all the plotholes? Time travel and alternate realities are such interesting themes but the major plotholes ruined the show, especially the ending. If it’s a total reset after younger Jin Geom killed the older guy and ALL time travellers would disappear, how is his mom and him still existing in 2010 when they are both time travellers? Prof. Tae Yi shouldn’t exist too, since her birth mom was a time traveller who went back to the past and met Tae Yi’s dad.
Also, near the end of the show when Tae Yi ran to meet Jin Geom who didn’t recognise her, why is he not even surprised to see a woman who looks exactly like his mom? I also don’t get why the old Jin Geom is hell bent on killing his mom, and accusing her of turning him into a monster, when throughout the show, Jin Geom was shown to be trying to save his mom. How is trying to save his mom going to turn him into a monster aka old Jin Geom eventually?
All the actors did an amazing job, and I don’t regret watching the show but I feel kinda sad because the show has so much potential and could have been so much better.
Wow, this drama is amazing. I just finished the last episode, and the ending is so well done! My life feels empty now that this wonderful drama is finally over :/
