First wanna give an update on the airing schedule since it was one of the reasons you mentioned. Official broadcast…
Oh thanks for the update. I didn't notice they changed the timeslot. That gives me more hope.
I've not seen the original so I can't comment on it.
Junho's one of my fave idol actors. I find him and Exo's Kyungsoo to be the best male idol actors around personally. They are very versatile and emote super well.
I've not seen the writer's previous works so I cannot comment on that either.
Oh I really loved Lee Joo bin and Kim myung joon in be melodramatic. They were really cute (especially the little…
I loved when she was like "I'm the prettiest girl in this school and you're the best fighter so I want you to be my bodyguard" and he's like "Okay" XD Their relationship was sooo idiosyncratic yet romantic by the end. I loved it. I wanted a drama starring their characters.
I used to like antiheroes back in the day. But these days they've become a bit too predictable and generic so I'm not that big of a fan of them anymore (in both Asian dramas/movies + Western movies/dramas) Also in my eyes many shows fails to make a meaningful moral story. They try to throw a moral dilemma at you, but most of the time the right choice is pretty obvious, one of the most atrocious example of this in a movie I've seen recently was in the new The Witcher movie on Netflix. Alas I digress. Lee Joong Gi's character is one of the more memorable ones of recent times.
IU's character in HDL is also an example of such. She has a fleshed out exposition and she's awfully selfish, self centred and only helps others because of her own self interest. And she undergoes a decent character development by the end as well.
My mind goes blank when I see lists like this and I struggle to come up with names. lmao but the names that are coming to my mind rn are:
1. Junho & Won JinAh, they were so good together in Just Between Lovers. Really nice steady chemistry.
2. Park Sung Hoon and Nana. They just ooze the "Married couple" vibe together. They were A M A Z I N G together in Into the Ring. One of the Kdrama couples that truly could pull off a married couple.
3. Jang Ki Yong and Jin Ki Joo. If one watches that drama, they'll understand why I want them together. They had such a delicate chemistry together, looked like match made in heaven.
4. Kim Myung Joon & Lee Joo Bin. They were a supporting couple on Be Melodramatic, but they might as well have been the main couple because their interactions were some of the highlights of the drama. Such a good pairing and they had some really good chemistry (and kissing scenes! Just go watch it on Youtube!).
5. Son Seok Koo and Jeon Yeo Bin. Another pairing from Be Melodramatic. Their first interaction in that drama involved trading profanities and insult and it was marvelous!
6. Sierra Li and He Yu. They recently worked together in My Fated Boy (super underrated drama, go check it out!) and they had such a sweet chemistry together. Similar to KYD and Cho Yeo Jeong, they shared an older woman-younger man dynamic which added more flavour to their pairing.
7. Lee Ji Ah and Park Eun Suk. They had such a whirlwind relationship on the Penthouse but they were the main pairing I was rooting for from beginning till end. Such good chemistry together.
8. Deng Lun and Mark Chao. They recently were together in the Yin Yang Master, while they weren't a couple in the movie (what a shame), they might as well have been because they actually looked great together and had wonderful chemistry. I'd definitely watch a gay drama starring these two together.
9. Deng Lun & Krystal. They were supposed to have a drama together but it's been stuck in production for like 5 years now. What a shame. They did appear in interviews together and they actually looked really good. I wish they'd just release this drama.
10. Liu Haoran & Satoshi Tsumabuki. lolol this is a random pairing I really wanna see in a romance drama together someday.
11. Zhang Zhehan & Liu Zhe Er. I've not seen Everyone Wants to Meet You, but I did watch a few fanmade cuts of it on youtube and wow I was shocked that this drama wasn't a BL after watching them. Like in the fanmade cut videos, Zhang Zhehan was flirting shamelessly with Liu Zhe Er's character and their chemistry looked awesome. I want to see them together. Sadly it's never gonna happen due to Zhang Zhehan's recent scandal.
Someone in the comments said "People still watch Hollywood movies despite their actors scandal".I would have to…
Two words: Amanda Bynes.
The way media destroyed her career and the way public turned their backs on her. And the ONLY thing she did was take drugs, she didn't even abuse another person mentally nor physically. Even worse, she had such deep mental issues like bipolar disorder and depression yet they media went all apeshit on her.
People be like CLOY 2 but they're ignoring the fact that the whole NK-SK romance existed YEARS BEFORE CLOY. A popular e.g of this was Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won's King 2 Hearts. With your logic, CLOY is King 2 Hearts 2.0.
It's kinda sad to see Song Jaerim be relegated to 2nd leads in his recent dramas. But I'm really happy for Kim Min Seok on the other hand, been waiting for him to lead a drama for years now.
i mean she never did anything to that girl herself so it isn’t something she should apologize for.
That girl has a name and it's Seohyun and Seo Yeji was the direct instigator of that. She was emotionally blackmailing KJH, who was also having mental issues back then. Due to this Seohyun also suffered depression.
I agree with your sentiments.. Not too thrilled about her return, but she too must make a living, learn from her…
Exactly, and there should've been some form of repercussions towards her action is what I'm saying. Them giving her this role is basically saying it's okay to do what she did. It's disappointing and disgraceful to see. I'm skipping this director's future works as well due to this.
SK's societal issues has been highlighted so much these past few years. You have perpetrators of abusers and harassers getting away with very minor sentencing (for e.g the abuser in the East Light abuse scandal who were basically beating up kids and Goo Hara's ex-bf who emotionally tormented her and blackmailed her with revenge porn) whereas on the other hand you have some people being punished for minor offences (for e.g the idols who smoked a joint in a private setting).

Edit: nvm I'm too weak to wait, I just binged 81-85 xD
