I don't need this to have a super grand romance, just give me a well written slice of life with lovable characters and a very well developed simple romance story.

Romance in Kdramas haven't been bad for the past decade, the POPULAR romance Kdramas have been bad. I'd highly recommend watching lesser known shows like Into the Ring, Just Between Lovers, etc. for really well written, healthy romance stories.

Yeah, I'm watching this now since it's just 15m per episode. Enjoying it so far. Cute little series, I really like the female lead and Kentaro's character.

Almost all my faves OSTs are ballads, I'm not a fan of uptempo OSTs personally unless it's from a more over the top show (for e.g Shampoo song from Be Melodramatic). I really love OSTs from dramas like Just Between Lovers, Hotel Del Luna (sans the RV song), etc.

Ooh other standouts are OSTs from 2000s. Like the Boys Over Flowers OST, the Jattanpung song from the movie the Classic, etc.

You had this sold and I was ready to watch until I saw it had 120 episodes. Now I have no motivation. lol

I think it never had any right existing in the first place, esp since we had Gangnam Beauty which was handled in a far better way.

AGREED lmao Doom had me yawning for the first few episodes so I dropped it completely. True Beauty... I found remotely nothing fun about it as well. Moon Gayoung was delightful, HIY was great but everything else felt so flat.

I understand that, my comment was a hyperbole. The show mainly got the interest it got due to the leads rather than the plot itself was my point lol Also disagree about the FL. Han So Hee hit the big jackpot because of World of the Married, so she is a pull for the fans of the show as well. But yeah, Song Kang's the main attraction here.

Despite that it still has generate buzz among international Kdrama fans, I chalk that upto the popularity of the leads mostly.

It's hyped cuz Song Kang and Han So Hee. Replace the actors and no one would even care about the show remotely.

I personally only watched this drama fully for the side characters. Krystal-Kang Minhyuk pairing, the friendship between the rich brats (Youngdo-Bona-Myungsoo) etc. The main leads are deadass boring together.
