I thought it would but watching Olympic badminton was nowhere near as exciting as was in the TV show.
Real badminton matches are far more exciting than shown on this show. If you play it you'd understand. The show actually doesn't do a very good job of portraying the sport tbh There's barely any focus given on actual playing in this and when they do play, it gets over so quick and usually in a jumping smash. In real matches it's very difficult to win points with jump smashes. Spinning net shots, clears, drives, drop shots, etc. are far more strategic and common. The quick decision making and pressure play during rallies is one of the most exciting part of badminton and the show completely ignores it (the only time they really showed it was during the Hansol v Nara match in the recent episode and even then it was only a small glimpse).
Then you justified it right after with "But for most of human history, consent is not the requirement for sex, much less love or marriage" right after that. So don't contradict yourself if you don't want your comments to be misconstrued. Calling r*pe problematic and then saying history justifies it is being contradictory.
Sure, your grandmother fell in love, but it doesn't make what your grandfather did right. And like I said, history exists so we can learn and avoid making the same mistake. Ask yourself, would you be alright if you got forced into a marriage as a minor and then got sexually assaulted?
Very disappointed in this. The talented cast is entirely wasted here. I expected a dark, mature story that explored Asian shamanism and instead got... yeah. :/
Just because something was done in history doesn't mean it was right. History exists so we can learn and do better, not because we can repeat the same mistakes. Also both your grandparents were minors when they got married and possibly by their own will. It's a completely different situation than someone literally r*ping someone else without their consent. The fact that you people are defending r*pe here, might as well as come out and say that r*pe isn't a big deal and isn't a crime. Absolutely horrific chain of thoughts.

Yep, that's when it started going downhill imo The final two seasons was esp disappointing imo I won't spoil though on why, but it felt very random to say the least.

Haha, it actually only started getting worse when a core cast member was fired from the show after he had an altercation with the director (or a writer, I forgot lol). Which was around S12 or something IIRC.
I am a dark mode user myself ....so I am well aware what we have to go through well I prefer not to watch too…
I understand. I'd prolly be cautious of starting a show with over hundred episodes as well. Thankfully, I was a frequent watcher of CM so I was able to follow the show over the years, season by season. So I didn't have to binge them or had to keep up with them.
NP! It was a very well written article and I liked it because I agree with it!

Ahh so you're familiar with the show, if you liked the first 3 seasons, it gets even better in the middle of the show. It goes downhill a bit by the end (like post-season 11/12). But it's a very fun watch still.
First of all, thank you for writing an article with us Dark theme users in mind. Many articles here are often unreadable for me as I use dark theme and they're usually written with darker fonts.
Most Criminal Minds "villains" are written this way. If you watch the original show, it goes out of its way to showcase how childhood trauma can shape one's mindset as an adult and affect their actions and motive and explores these conditions almost every episode. There are very few characters in Criminal Minds who're "evil" just for the sake of being "evil" (Mr. Scratch for example is one of the prime examples of this). I'd highly recommend watching the original show if you want more depth in negative characters.

For newer Kdrama fans maybe, but for older and vet Kdrama fans she's already a very well known name. Let's agree to disagree. One thing we can both admit is that she's a great actress and deserves the acclaim she gets.

I still disagree. Moon Chae Won was highly acclaimed and became very popular for Innocent Man, the Princess' Man and Good Doctor as well and all 3 of those dramas were major hits. Flower of Evil was just her comeback hit after absence from TV for 2 years.
