The BTS thing was really weird but Anti-Japan propaganda??? What is wrong with sharing the stories of real atrocities…
1. Whataboutism. XX doing bad things doesn't make YY doing bad things right. Good job relying on a propaganda technique.
2. No one is blaming the current Japan. It's like you imperialist apologist can't get this through your heads. The episode was about showing the suffering of Comfort Women through historical facts and yes what was shown was FACTUAL not "Korean perspective". If what happened bothers Japanese audiences, then that's their problem and no one else's and they need to get over it. Their feelings are not relevant because they're not the victims period.
3. " What else are they supposed to do? Is it the 125 million japanese people who are alive today who committed the crimes?" - How about not cry over accurate portrayal of their history? The episode didn't go around calling out the current Japan. Heck they didn't even call out the past Japan, the episode was solely focused around on how much the women suffered.
4. The fact that you implied Comfort Women willingly sold their body to Japanese soldiers for money is disgusting.
5. "If you don't know well about the subject maybe its best to just shut up." - Practice what you preach. I'm not the one being insensitive about the sufferings of the victims, you are. I'm not the one dismissing portrayal of imperialism as "anti- propaganda". I'm not the one who implied COmfort Women willingly prostituted their own body. I'm not the one who implied the suffering is not factually correct since it's through "Korean perspective". If you don't know about the subject and if you can't be sensitive about the feelings of the victims, you should just shut up.
First name - Park Seonjeong - 1990.09.05 Second name - Choi Yunjeong - 1981.04.17 Third name - Kim Taehyung - 1971.12.30 Fourth name - Kim Yurim - 1997.09.1-(not shown) Last name - Park Hyuna (? it's blurred out but it's something that ends with an Ah) - 1989.02.(not shown)
They used 1 name - Kim Taehyung (V's name) and it's a VERY common name and while his birth month and date is similar the year is completely different.
Now they absolutely DID NOT use Jungkook's name contrary to what Armies are going around saying. It was someone named Yurim. And yes, that birthdate is the same as Jungkook's but hundreds of thousands of people share that same birth date. It's NOT Jungkook. Stop victimising yourself and your idols. It's annoying.
This is all nothing but a coincident but good job being petty and overreactive to everything, God job being toxic and the most unlikeable fandom in the world, Armies. Keep up the good work.
They used 1 name - Kim Taehyung and it was someone born in 1971. If you can read Hangul, you can read the list yourself. Armies are just being petty idiots as always thinking V owns the name "Kim Taehyung".
Sorry but I refuse to take side of any colonisers. They can keep their views to themselves. Their country had…
How many times must I repeat that no one's blaming the Japanese people of today? But history is history and they are in no place to be having problems with SK making a show that showcased the history of Comfort Women accurately because it HAPPENED. If they can't face the acts of their ancestor, it's their problem. And they need to get over it. This is the problem with fragile mindset of the present people of countries that have colonised other countries. They can't face their own atrocious history so when the countries in question makes some movie/tv show about it, they get all pissed off.
I'm not pro-Korea nor anti-Japanese. I'm anti-Colonisation. There's a big difference. You should be the one who should be careful on the subject because you seem to disregard the suffering of the victims just because some young Japanese people have their emotions triggered by their ancestor's acts.
It was never based on Junwoong. Since the beginning it's always been about Gu Ryeon's past. Junwoong just acts…
Jung gil is NOT the proxy for the viewers. He's barely there in most episodes. The proxy is Junwoong, he is clueless about everything like us viewers, and he's witnessing everything in real time, like us viewers. He is the main lead yes, but the plot is more than his status as a lead character.
Kinda sad how gmm had a bunch of leads like Gun, Singto, Tay Tawan, Earth, Mix, who really stand out in their…
Some of the names you mentioned weren't good in their early days and some are still over/underacting a lot. The only one who's been consistent is Gun. Give it time, some people improve. This is Dunk's 1st show and just 2nd for Joong as well.
Omg Kleun's so fucking annoying. His dude's frustrating af and I wanna slap the shit out of him. Nuea needs to ditch his sorry ass and go with Phoon. I swear.
Sorry but I refuse to take side of any colonisers. They can keep their views to themselves. Their country had…
Exactly. I'm from a country that was colonised by the British and my grandparents lived through it. It was a horrible time and they tell me about how shitty their life was during those times.
The idea that people shouldn't portray the victims of colonisation just because the colonisers apologised and it hurts the sentiment of the youth of the country the colonisers are from is such a weird discourse. Like what? Your feelings aren't what's relevant here, sorry to say because you were NOT the victims at any point.
It feels like the base story has changed completely during the course of the series. The series seemed to be based…

"Today's japanese people are some of the most peaceful on the planet and shouldn't be blamed for what happened during war in the past before they were born" - No one is blaming them. But they shouldn't be complaining when they see someone portray their history as factually accurate. Just because they apologised doesn't mean the nations they colonised aren't allowed to do shows and movies on that front.
Not even gonna bother with that whataboutism as if I ever defended USA. To me all imperialist countries are the same.
Unfortunately the comfort women episode didn't work well with the Japanese audience. Here are some of their impressions…
Sorry but I refuse to take side of any colonisers. They can keep their views to themselves. Their country had a terrible bloody history and it's a fact.
I am going to be starting this fairly shortly….so I can prepare myself, what is the scale of the level of heartbreak…
10/10 heartbreak. You'll cry. Keep some tissues around when watching. Secret Garden/Goblin were sad??? Dafuq lol I don't remember anything tearjerking about those dramas. This one on the other hand is like deep gut wrenching ugly sobbing type tearjerker.
