Why is this not called Shooting stars? Why are there 2 *s in the title no matter where I see this drama?
It's a play on words. The Korean title is "별똥별 " which literally translates to Shooting Stars, but since the "똥" also means (literal shit/poop), it's stylised as Sh**ting Stars while retaining the original meaning.
The drama is surprisingly fun to watch despite it being cliched. It's fast paced, great interactions between characters and my lord Kim Yong Dae has improved SO SO SO MUCH. I'm super impressed by him here. Comparing his past roles and this one, he's completely different. NGL I never expected him to be this good.
Edit: Ha. Ep 6 has a very nice throwback to Lee Soohyun's past drama (Find Me In Your Memory) with Moon Gayoung reprising the same role here.
Oh I used to watch Pretty Woman whenever I was upset as a teen, I think I know it by heart...
Haha it's a classic! 90s and early-mid 2000s had such fun, feelgood romcoms. It's so sad that romcoms fell out in the 2010s. Hope they'll rise up again in the 2020s.
For me. Romcoms, slice of life and general drama movies & shows (whether Asian or western viz August Osage County, Be Melodramatic, Pretty Woman etc.) are all rewatchable. Action movies as well.
But mystery, thriller and horror shows and movies (both Asian and western) pretty much lose their charm after the first watch for me because the excitement in watching these types of shows and movies comes from the suspense of it and when you know what's gonna happen already, all the suspense is gone. This is why I'm not a fan of Korean crime thrillers anymore because a lot of them recycle plot so they're highly predictable and there's no suspense.
Taejun is said to have skills good enough to be a National team player but the drama's doing such a bad job at showcasing it :/ Just give him moments during matches already.
I pray to God that Junyoung isn't the mean elder sister. From what we've seen, it looks like she won't be mean but I'd be pissed if they made her mean. Also Taejun's parents are horrendous parents. They're abusive toward him without even realising. Playing favourites is a form of abuse and it leaves long lasting impression smh disappointing.
One of the biggest question about this drama for me is how tf do they sleep on the ground with such thin mattress. If I slept on that, my whole body would die and I wouldn't even be able to move properly for day or two lol
Am I the only one who cares nought for the romance? I just wanna see the Park pair beat up everyone else. At this moment for me, the romance is just there to fill the episode length whereas I just wanna watch them play and win and make everyone else salty.
I never really noticed this actor. This is the first drama he catches my eyes. He is doing really good here but…
He is a scene stealer. You need to watch Be Melodramatic, Sense8, Designated Survivor, Matrimonial Chaos etc. he has an incredible charisma and sharp looks that he almost always end up stealing the spotlight.
The script is just not interesting at all lol we love this 100% for the leads.
The script is very simple and calm, which I don't mind at all actually. I like the characters too. I just hate this love pentagon situation, it's so unnecessary. I mean having 4 people pining over 1 guy is just a tad too ridiculous even for a romance show like this.
I'm sorry but dafuq? There's already 3 guys who like Dao but they had to add a girl to the mix too? What tf is up with this writer??? Love triangle is unnecessary, love pentagon is just non-sense.

Well I hope she ditches those office blouse for real this time though at least.
