You really hit the nail on the head with "slice-of-life xianxia", cause it feels like watching a modern just in a fantasy world. The plots basis is really a typical xianxia so I like it, but the execution is rather weak, strongest storyline is the side quests for the Kunlun Mirror fragments; not to mention action is almost non-existent in this drama.

Minding the power business; its if none of them even have power honestly; the strongest character so far at least for me is Pianpian. Thats why I love when they mix martial arts and power together, seems all the budget went to the CGI that the powers and strength are non-existent.

Hoping it picks up the last 20 eps too, another thing I feel there's a lackluster of action scenes in the drama; its pewpew for 3 secs then yap your way out of the situation. I'm waiting for their other lifes to be shown, feel the plot will be better in those ones.

It's the only plot going on with the main leads; wish Jizhou used this direction more. I love them, but I need some plot now, even the 2nd CP has a more interesting plot going on. 😅

I wonder if there's any particular reason why Shanbao and Shancheng are the only ones with the "Shan" character in their names; the rest are all beginning with "Yun". Maybe me thinking much 😅
