They probably became a matriarchal family after the males of the family died; besides its in the ancient times, men could have as many concubines as they wanted. Shanbao; Yunwan and Yunyin are sisters; the rest are their cousins, like Yunxi comes from the 2nd branch of the family so they have different parents.

I'm really conflicted with Bingzhus character.
