Man I tell you these older doramas either leave me in tears and/ or just straight up emotionally drained. Lipstick is no exception. The acting, the music, the pace of everything unfolding was straight golden. I just finished it and I cant stop crying... The story really plays out beautifully.
Def a mature movie with a lot of sex scenes but the mature tag is there so you know what you're getting- a movie dealing with flawed characters and deep issues. If a movie with sex in it freaks you out then go watch something else. This movie is not all that bad.
I have no words after watching this. Never experienced Japan in the 50s so this was hella refreshing. They def showed more in terms of sexy scenes than they do in American movies of the same time. The plot was a bit basic but the ending had ya girl is straight awe. If are wondering if you should watch it- please do (I don't get the cover photo for this though)
This movie was visually stunning (even with the gore) and I would love to see more Japanese movies like this. Not just a bloody mess with crazed kids but... well yea lol bloody mess with crazed kids, adults would do as well. I loved the way Furukawa said litchi lalitchi lalalitchi- found it in a way sexy lol
So the bad guy gets away with it... don't care if he feels guilty, he should had been taken care of. I guess living with the guilt is harder than just dying.
Not my kind drama as I'm not into fantasy world/ Wuxia genre BUT this drama changed all that. If you are on the fence about this because of the hype or the length of episodes- WATCH IT!! I just finished this and at this time it was the longest drama I have watched (58 episodes O_O say what!) and was totally worth it. The story(ies) is captivating and beautiful. There is also action, heartbreak, revenge- it pretty much has everything. The only down fall really is the cgi (hella cheesy) BUT they kept it to a minimal.
Tatsuya over-acting as usual making me lol
