It sucks to have all your friends driving around and going to bars while the best thing you can do is stay at home and playing with your cat. It's terrible. x)

Why thank you :D Well, that was the idea, but the entire production team booked the hotel. :/ A friend of my brother lives on an island not too far from there, about 30 minutes by boat, so we may stay there from today on until the production ends. We'll see. :P

Weeeell... It's at the coast, but there are people who 'drown' and end up sleeping on an artificial island that is IN the ocean, sooo.. Yes.
I play. :P Me, my brother, two friends, some local people and some pros. It doesn't sound as terrible as it did on first rehearsal anymore, thank god. We're gonna have the first showing tomorrow, so I'm in advertising mode for people to come see it. The thing is that it's a 2 hour drive to get there, and there is a ferry on the way. The show ends at 11pm, and the last ferry leaves at 10:45pm. XD It's ridiculous, and driving around the sea takes like 2 extra hours. People have to be crazy to come.

The fact that Mok Dan would have been long dead without Bridal Mask kind of goes without saying. No matter the circumstances, if she ends up in trouble she will be saved. She has yet to get out of trouble on her own, so we will probably always agree on that point.

I never meant to compare Mod Dan and Rie, considering the obvious loser is Mok Dan. I'm just saying she has some serious Shunji issues. Their relationship is my primary concern. However, if Rie and Kang To get closer, it could change. She would be forced tot ake a stand if she decides to help out Kang To, which I kind of secretly hope for.

My summer was fantastic. A week in Denmark, visitor from Russia for another week, 2 weeks at Crete and other lovely stuff. Sadly my grandfather passed ayaw last week, so I was up north for the funeral on thursday. Now what's on the agenda is to provide music for a play in... the ocean. Yes. I know, it's super strange, but it pays well so meh. :>

That being said, I would like to take this opportunity to rant on Ueno Rie. Is it just me, or does she seem rather.. useless? No matter what she does or says it ends up failing, or she gets corrected or humiliated.

I mean, just look at this:
-Captures Mok Dan, Shunji takes her away
- Gets completely overruled by Shunji in every conversation and situation despite her being a higher rank.
- Gets shot down and ignored in Kishokai meetings.

There are more examples, but these are the first to come to mind. It's just really strange, because they tried making her look powerful and frightening, yet she ends up looking weak. Without Katsuyama at her side, she would probably have been long dead.

Absolutely not. I'm all Team Rie at this point. She's actually starting to annoy me very much. I liked her much better when she hated Kang Tos guts. :/ I don't think the charater is all that bad though, I just think the actor is doing a bad job at portraying her. It's - as you said - very 2D. She's young though, so she has potential. BUT MEH.
