I'm honestly amazed by all the great reviews and comments here. I tried starting this three times and never got past the first 20 minutes because of the horrendous special effects. It was truly dreadful. The story must be totally badass, because I just don't understand.

Oh I remember reading the manga ages ago. I thought it was discontinued because of the major delay in chapters, but I guess not. :P

It's a cute love story, but it has a lot more weight to it than that. I really like it.

Any OOR fan is a friend of mine. :) Sorry for the terribly late reply, I have been neglecting dramas as of late. Been rather busy. Trying to sniff around in dramaland a little more though.

Title Cruel City
soooooooo overrated, compared to the US shows (the wire, sopranos etc) its more of a comedy than real crime/action…
I think it's important to separate television culture when comparing stuff. American TV shows are made COMPLETELY different from korean ones. The filming and editing is far from the same, not to mention the huge difference in the budgets. A korean drama offers a storyline over usually 16-20 episodes, and not to mention closure. American shows tend to run season after season and getting ridiculously repetitive, despite their awesome editing and money spending.

Sure, I agree that some of the scenes in this drama are rather lol, but overall it's a really enjoyable watch for me. I don't really think people are watching korean dramas to be impressed by their fight scenes. It's a hobby, an enjoyable way to spend your time. If you want mindblowing asian stuff, find a movie. Watch Oldboy. Just don't compare this to CSI, please. That really hurts me to my core.
