I really do like a lot of rom-coms, but I have been trying to get through the last hour and a half of episodes one and two and I’m sorry, but this is just killing me. It is way too silly and slapstick and not really funny at all. I thought about going to the end of episode three as some have suggested, but I think I’m going to need to take a break. I have no idea how this could ever be rated a 9.0. Maybe i’m just not in the right mood for now.
That’s one of the things that stands out the most about this drama — The female lead is smart and remains strong to the end. She stands up for herself and others and she is constantly training to be physically strong as well as mentally sharp. There is no pretense. She is intelligent, loyal, righteous and she doesn’t give up. Ever. She decides what is right at every single moment and her character follows through to the end.
(I can also identify with Etnaa’s question. It has been a long-standing pet peeve of mine when I watch dramas that start out really good with strong female characters who somehow get dropped along the way as if they were not that important to the plot—then I lose interest and the credibility of the drama is lost. )
Sometime you have to step into the fire to feel it's burn and this drama push you right into it and leave you…
He was amazing! Episode 35 if I’m not mistaken. So hilarious and excellent episode(s) with related surprises coming later! The humor is very well done and a welcome relief with so much tension going on. I have re-watched this part of the show a few times—love it!
Although everyone is tired of the childhood connection trope in sageuks, I think Yi San and Deok Im indeed were…
I’m not tired of the childhood connection trope in sageuks. In fact I love it, especially When they add in all the other relatives too. Especially the grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins. It gives so much more depth to the characters and their situations.
The drama was never meant to be a historical drama about San's life. The novel this show is based on wanted to…
So not true—at least not for me! TTHE LONGER, THE BETTER! I love having a go-to show for weeks on end. The longer dramas tend to have at least a couple of different angles throughout and come together at the end.
I’m not sure there is an order, but I just wanted to say that I loved “Novoland: Tribes and Empires.” I’m still waiting for the sequel. I really miss this drama—it was sooo good!
Just completed this drama, “To Love.” Very intriguing storyline, cinematography, music. I really liked the female lead Cass. All the actors were pretty good. I thought Cass and her ex-boyfriend (Du Chun) were the best actors. I love Kenny Lin also but I liked him much better in “Princess Agents.” I would have liked him to be more serious in this drama. Anyway it’s a good drama but I probably won’t watch it again because 40 episodes was just a little too long for this. (Although I have watched historical dramas that were much longer.) Thanks to everyone for a great job done well.
Just finished this drama. Gonna start Princess Agents again after previously dropping it after 9 episodes
I LOVED PRINCESS AGENTS—It’s one of my all-time favorites! I have re-watched it so many times. Kenny Lin was such a good actor in that. It’s been kind of hard to watch i’m in this one (“To Love”) since he plays such a different character. And I have to admit that I really prefer historical dramas! (:
