I watched t this drama (The Heirs—called The Inheritors on Netflix) when it first came out and I have been watching dramas for over 15 years now. I liked this drama then and I still like it now. I still give it a high rating. There were a couple of bully scenes but I’ve seen worse in other dramas. I thought all the actors were excellent and I’ve watched this several times. I highly recommend it and I cannot possibly understand any ratings under 8+. All I can say is watch it for yourself and see what you think. I, for one, will continue to watch it over and over. I love this drama!
Interesting drama. The actors did a good job. I especially love Kim Ji Won. The story was good although it felt a little disjointed in places. It’s not motivating to see so many people on a regular basis drinking and getting drunk, slurring their words, unable to think or walk straight. It’s almost like it was an expected way of life. I like the filming and the music was also good. I was really hoping they were going to develop a sports aspect of it with the long jump! It was a little hard to watch for me—super slow. And no wow ending like I was hoping there might be.
I started to watch “Hotel Del Luna” a couple of different times and then dropped it twice. It looked interesting but once I got to the ghosts I just wasn’t in the mood. I really hate zombies so I don’t watch those types of dramas. I have seen a couple of good ones in the past that I could handle but not usually. BUT then after seeing so many good comments, I decided to give it a try again. Once I got past the first couple of episodes, I was hooked. I loved almost everything about this drama. The lead actors were perfectly cast (really all the actors). Loved the outfits and costumes, the stories, the music —everything was done so well. I even think I might watch it again. If you’ve dropped it before, I recommend trying it once more. It really gets better and better to the end!
I didn't know IU before I watched this drama and I will still say I'm not one her fans. But she did a very good…
Sorry to disagree but I thought IU’s acting was excellent in this drama! I personally think it’s her best. I marveled in every episode how well she was doing! Scarlet heart Ryeo was okay but I saw the original Chinese version first and I will never get over that one. Just amazing!! The Chinese “Scarlet Heart” (Bu Bu Jing Xin) version is still one of the top dramas of all time on my list.
I am so confused by all the comments. This drama was re-filmed? It sounds like one big mess! What happened? Why would they change the male lead half-way into the drama?
It’s just that it desperately needs a sequel! (I still watch it over again!) I am very surprised someone hasn’t found a way to create part two or just do the whole thing over again--with Lee Min Ho of course and I happen to love the actress, or a new one would be okay too if she wasn’t available (or someone who is very much like her!).
Noooo—I want to like this drama!! Now I’m afraid that it’s going to get totally messed up! Maybe they are trying to be creative, but it isn’t working. First of all there are two episode #1’s! I just finished the first one, and I know it just doesn’t make sense that they would do that. At least number them 1a and 1b. Now I’m on the second number one episode but they have fast forwarded 19 years, which could be normal, but all the beginning scenes are like previews of the future and I’m starting to feel like this is a little Bizzarre. Which is too bad because I want to watch this!!! The music, characters and plot all seemed perfectly normal and great to start with. Then I checked the ratings and this is not looking good! It’s just such a bummer—who could ruin such a promising drama!?! I will post more later once I settle down from my frustration. In all my 10+ years of watching a wide variety of Asian dramas—which I love, I have never come across this situation. I guess I’ll just have to face the facts and drop it although I’ll try to keep going as far as possible! (:
nope. the original chinese version of moon lovers is Scarlet Heart https://kisskh.at/2969-scarlet-heart
The original Chinese version of Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin) is so amazing and will always have a special place in my heart. I first saw it several years ago and I can never stop thinking about it. It was so exceptional—the storyline, actors, cinematography, music—everything was breathtaking. (The two main leads even got married in real life after the drama was completed.)
This is sooo good—every minute in every way! I’m so surprised how much I really love it! It’s one of my top favorites now. I love it when I get surprised and find something like this—from the hilarious comedy to the serious drama!! I would rate it more than 10 if I could!
Some of the music in “Mad For Each Other” reminds me of the “Ice cream song” in Lie To Me. Does anyone know if it’s the same singer/writer? Thanks.
I would love to try this drama—Are there other places to watch this besides the two mentioned above? One needs a subscription and the other I have never heard of. Maybe that’s why there aren’t more viewers?? Thanks.
It took me by surprise! Apart from the ending, it was really awesome
I also think this drama is awesome and then they also liked the ending. It might not have been as spectacular as some of the other scenes along the way, but I thought it was good.
Loved the actors, storyline, cinematography, costumes, music, singing. Loved the 3 main leads + others. I want to see more of them! Especially the female lead__ Zhao Lu Si Definitely recommend watching. I will watch again! My rating is 9.5/10. Enjoy!
Really good drama with great storyline and perfect actors. The camaraderie between them was great. They were all perfect for their roles.—Funny, sweet, tough, sincere—they had it all! I will definitely watch season 2!!
PS there is only one thing I would have changed at the end (maybe other people feel the same)—although it was still a good ending. I highly recommend that you watch it now. It’s good from the very beginning!
I am trying to watch this again on Viki, but it is only showing Chinese subtitles. Does anyone know how to change the subtitles to English? I have tried to find it on the Viki website but unable to find it! Thanks.
Why do both leads have the same name _Feng Xi? It is very confusing—especially in the beginning and then there is also Minister Feng and others with similar names and they are not all surnames. Thanks.
MDL indicates that this drama series will end on May 17, 2022. I just checked on Netflix and it’s showing episode 26 as the last current episode (as of May 14). Is it possible that Netflix is 14 episodes behind?
It is on my favorites list! I have re-watched it several times.
I’m sure that the “Twiggy” types are much less healthy!
