Is it just me that wants to rewatch it but after the divorce it is hard to watch.
It really isn’t fair to mix up someone’ s real, personal life with the characters in a drama. It’s their profession. Would you want that to happen to you?
I love everything about this drama except the second couple
I really liked the second couple also. I love the drama from beginning to end, and I thought it was very well put together. It is still one of my favorites!
What in the world…?! I seriously don’t get some of the reviews. I realize everybody has different tastes in what they watch, but there are just too many low ratings, and the reasons seem really off. I can only think that it’s because of some kind of politics that I’m not aware of or some social media thing going on. But I will say that this is one of the better dramas that I have seen. (I have watched Asian dramas for over 10 years.) I love historical dramas especially, then rom-coms and several other genres. (Each have their good and bad shows.) I rewatch “Descendants of the Sun” once or twice a year and still feel the same way. I would highly recommend that you watch it and then decide for yourself. That’s the only way you’re really going to know how you feel about it . I for one still love it and I am still watching. Take care and enjoy! 👌🎬
Still amazing! I just finished watching all 18 episodes for the 6th time. Still waiting for the sequel, even though I am terribly disappointed that there will be different actors ☹️—at least there will be a sequel. Hopefully it will do the original justice—plus more. It’s going to be a tough job!
I know this drama has very high ratings, but I don’t think I will be able to watch it. The comments talk about extreme bullying scenes and then that person comes back later and takes revenge on their children. It’s just wrong! and I don’t want to have those ideas and scenes in my head. 😱
So I was enjoying this drama, but I'm assuming she ends up with Ma Hoon which makes me sad since I had hoped she'd…
that’s interesting. I’m not sure why you would be enjoying a drama and then just assume it’s going to turn out differently than you think. I would say to just watch it. It’s worth it. 😃
This drama was excellent. I love the actors, the music and the costumes. It was very well done with an interesting plot. I was never bored for a minute and couldn’t wait for the next episode. I will put it on my favorites list and definitely watch again. I thought the rating was fairly low but I will rate it at least 8.5
I haven’t started to watch this drama, but it seems so depressing !—I am questioning whether I should even try. From the description it seems like there are horrible things that happened to someone in their school years, but how could you justify growing up and taking it out on an innocent child, just because the parents deserve punishment? It’s not moral.
Love this drama! Can’t stop watching—I’ve lost count of how many times. Great actors, storyline and music. It’s all there. A must watch—and the second half is even better than the first. if you’re looking for something to watch, try it now. Enjoy. 👍
IDK—this drama seems like kind of a mess and over rated from reading all the comments here. I watched the first episode and was really not impressed. There are some cute characters, but I personally do not care for shows about pushy mothers expecting their children to overachieve just so they can make themselves look better in society. And all of the teenage suicide stuff is just too sad and depressing. I am probably going to skip this one.
I totally agree. Zhou Yi Wei is an amazing actor. I loved “Tribes and Empires” (so creative annd intense) and also “Longest Day In Chang’an!” I have rewatched both. I don’t think they did justice to him in “The Rebel Princess.” He was the lead actor, but that role was not dynamic enough for his talents.
I loved this drama so much! I really like historical dramas and this is one I can never forget. I think it’s time to rewatch again. It’s the type that keeps you on the edge of your seat every second and you can’t wait for the next episode. If you’re on the fence, don’t be — you should go watch it right now. 👍 I Highly recommend it! 10+
I watched this drama “The Rebel Princess” mainly because of Zhou Xi Wei and the high rating (which I think is somewhat over rated.) Zhou Xi Wei is the male lead, but they should have given him a much more dynamic role—like in “Tribes and Empires”. He was so amazing in T&E and the cinematography in that was breathtaking! I just can’t forget that drama—It was so creative and dynamic! But back to this drama, “The Rebel Princess,” the storyline was good, but it really did drag at times and the music was so slow. The leads were not together that much, and there was too much other stuff going on to focus on their story. It was very long, which I usually don’t mind, especially for a historical drama (which I love), but I don’t think I could watch it again. It was worth it for one time . (I have watched “Tribes and Empires” many times and would love a sequel. )
I am enjoying this drama but I think a younger FL would have been better.
I think it’s pretty impossible for a 40-year old to pull off being a 15-year old in appearance. She seemed very pale and gaunt throughout the drama. I never thought of her as a vibrant person at any point, even though I know she was portrayed to be overall in bad health throughout.
I love historical dramas especially, then rom-coms and several other genres. (Each have their good and bad shows.) I rewatch “Descendants of the Sun” once or twice a year and still feel the same way.
