same with me 🖐️,so annoying why they make a hanging story but dont want to continue it! even for 5 years+,,…
I agree. I’m also waiting for the sequel to Tribes and Empires (so good!) as well as Princess Agents. I don’t think it’s ever going to happen though— so disappointing!! I suppose the real question is how do you avoid it? 🙃 How long do you have to wait in the film industry to pick up someone else’s drama and make a final season?
Another great series by Ruo Yun 💗I decided to watch this while waiting for Joy of Life desperately. I reached…
I think they just wanted to portray her as being very young and holding a grudge. I am going to guess that in the next season, they will portray her as being more mature. (:
My rating 10/10 This period drama had everything. I am so impressed! The charactors are interesting and the actors perfect. “Sword Snow Stride” had unique humor, captivating story, scenery and good music. I am really hoping there will be an amazing sequel to this with more of the energetic and assertive females (and males).. Does anyone know anything about season two? Thanks.
Excellent drama. Great storyline. Loved every actor — perfect for their role (and the smart female leads!). The only disappointment was the filming. Quite often the backgrounds were out of focus and felt “fake.” But I highly recommend to watch it and rated it 9.5 out of 10.
I am currently rewatching this series and my opinion has not changed. I still hate the character Choi Yeong Do.…
I agree. I felt that way too, but you eventually come to realize why (anlthough that doesn’t make it right)—and he does change later. This drama is so good and so worth watching. It is really underrated, but if you can have patience, things change. I have watched this so many times, and it is obviously on my favorites list. Watch it, you will be glad you did. So many great actors! 👍
I love historical period dramas. This one was a fantasy drama (wuxia or xianxia?) I liked this drama but it was too long with 40 episodes (although I’ve watched longer). It seemed a little dragged out, or maybe just a little slow. The plot and fantasy scenes were interesting and creative. The actors were good and the costumes were beautiful. It’s too long to watch again, but maybe several favorite episodes. The ending needed just two more minutes to be perfect. I rated it 8.5.
PS I don’t know what all these previous comments are, but they seem avery odd. No one is actually reviewing the drama or saying, how much they liked it?!
Hmmm…it has high ratings but the dog dies and there are 21 episodes of egotistical, angry, screaming people? Doesn’t sound like anything I’m looking for. I need suspense, romance, adventure, hope, love and respect of self and mankind, resolution and something to look forward to—dramas with a good ending and a reason to exist to the end.
This drama was good and very charming although a bit slow at times, but not too bad. The ML and FL were really cute and also the second couple. It doesn’t bother me at all when the actors are women dressed as males. I think it’s kind of cute and they seem to be much more independent that way. It was a little predictable, but did have a good ending .PS I would just like to add that the titles of Asian dramas often mystify me. They seldom depict the gist or some point if interest in the story. 🙃 Just saying…
I struggled to watch 1st and 2nd Ep as the story started so slowww but after that I couldn't stop watching. The…
I agree. Slow start but this drama is not what it seems it will be. It is very dramatic and keeps you guessing while giving you the feel of what a sincere, ,hometown life would be. Loved all the actors—Definitely worth watching. 👍
Sooo many people have re-watched this hundreds of times. It is such a gem! I don’t get it. How can the drama be rated so low yet be liked by so many people—including myself and everyone I know?! It is so under-rated. I give it 10/10 💥
If you're planning to watch the sequel, better watch this first. Only then will you truly appreciate the FAE
Thank you for your reply. I did watch it and it was pretty good. I liked the actors and the characters in the story but felt that something was missing. It seemed a little slow to me, although I watched to the end. Maybe because I read too many reviews and had an idea of what was going to happen. I liked “One and Only,” but I probably wouldn’t watch it again because of the slow pace, and I thought the ending was a little too rushed with too much summary narrative instead of action.
One more thing I’d like to point out regarding Viki—I did watch it on Viki but it is very distracting when you are watching the last few scenes of the ending episode, and they start displaying their announcements of the translators and directors, etc. It makes no sense. They could do that after the ending with the credits. Why interrupt the end and ruin it for everyone?!
There are so many recommendations to watch this drama series—besides the 10/10 ratings. I want to watch such a good drama, but it is so hard to intentionally put yourself through so much heartfelt pain! 🥹 Two other tragedies I have watched and never forgotten are Scarlet Heart—Chinese version (Bu Bu Jing Xin) and Princess Agents. Is One and Only as tragic as these? Do I want more heartache? Should I just watch the sequel (for a happier story ending) and not put myself through the agony, or will I be missing too much?
OMGoodness I just check will be starting May 6 where am at 😊😊Hopefully subtitles will be better.
I agree. I am really liking “Till The End Of The Moon.” The subtitles are pretty good except that it is very distracting when so much slang is used— such as “wanna (want to), gonna (going to), gotta (need to, must)” and more. And there are too many noticeable cliches that just don’t fit the era: “pissed off, you suck, dumped her, so screwed”—and the list goes on.
