In addition to really loving the actors, I thought the storyline was great and the acting was excellent! The music was good and this is a drama that I could watch again. It was right on in so many aspects of real life and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I didn’t care for was when they were goofing around with gas guns at the bank and pointing them in each other’s face. It was unnecessary and annoying. That part aside, I would highly recommend this drama. I rated it 9 out of 10.
Good movie. (I would have really liked it as a drama series for more character development.) I really liked ALL the actors and special effects (but I could have done without the fake beast in the arena and a little less graphic detail re the wounds). I didn't realize at first that Henry Lau was in this. He is one of my favorite people--so talented!
I started out about 8 years ago exclusively watching every Kdrama I could find. I found my first one on Netflix (which didn't have many at the time) called "The Great Doctor/Faith" and loved it. The next one was "Boys Over Flowers"--and the adventures began. I loved the drama, morality, family, romance and sense of humor. Then I discovered Cdramas and now they are also on my favorites list (especially period dramas). There were also a few other Asian dramas from other countries. All I can say is Thank You for enriching my life and giving me another perspective of the world and also how much we are really all alike.
I must say that I am always shocked when I read negative comments about "Descendants of the Sun." I have been watching Asian dramas for about 8 years now and I am so hooked on them. Sometimes it's hard to watch other types of dramas--and I also especially love really good historical period dramas. All that being said, I really loved "Descendants of the Sun." It was so refreshing , with really good actors, acting and storyline. The cinematography was great and so was the music. Anyway, I 100% recommend watching DOTS --don't listen to the nay sayers. Watch it and see for yourself. I think you will be glad you did.
Can anybody suggest me this type of other dramas specially where the main lead is awsome in both physically and…
Have you seen “Chuno” (Slave Hunters)? I loved that drama. Another drama “Defendant” is excellent with actor Ji Sung—who also starred in “Secret.” Both dramas highly recommended!
Re-watched for second time from 4 years ago. Definitely a must-watch Even better the second time. One of my favorites. Good ending, but wish it was even better.
I tried watching this again. It's kind of a cute drama but I really hate zombies--they're so ridiculously dumb! Are zombies in the entire drama series or only the first few episodes? I really like the actors. Also, I am having trouble with viki.com (for several months now and they haven't fixed it). I have tried both Google Chrome and Windows Edge browsers, but the dramas keep stopping while I am in the middle of watching. Has anyone else had this problem? It says "The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browsers..." (7-2020)
Who would write such an annoying female lead? It’s almost cartoony. And the actor playing it made it almost…
No way! Sorry, but that's what makes it so funny --because it is so crazy. I loved it and rewatch it when I get a chance. If you like fun rom-coms then it's a must-watch!
I have watched Scarlet Heart 1 numerous times and while I didn't care for this sequel, I decided to watch it again. It just seems that it kind of wanders all over the place--especially the ending. I still rated this a 7/10. ( I do have to mention what an amazing acting job Cecelia Liu did portraying two such different characters. I kept staring to make sure they really were the same person!) I just saw that there was a "Hong Kong" uncensored version with some cuts they took out that referred back to part 1. Does anyone know where I can watch that version? It sounds much better. Thanks.
It's been a while now since this (part 2) came out (three years after the original Scarlet Heart). It really was so disappointing after part one. Is there any chance that someone is going to re-make part two and give us another amazing drama to fit better with Scarlet Heart-part 1? I would personally love to watcj it and I would think that it would be a great opportunity for another great writer, director and cast to show their talents!
I have watched "Scarlet Heart"--Chinese (same as "Bu Bu Jing Xin") so many times now over the last several years. It will always be one of my top favorites. Once in awhile I just miss it and have this desire to watch it again. Everything about this drama is so well done. This time in particular, although I have noticed also in the past, I was remarking to myself about how excellent every part of the music is--so detailed and fitting perfectly to every scene. This drama is truly amazing, at the top of the list. If you haven't seen it yet you will be so impressed! If I could, I would give this drama a rating much higher than a 10.
I want to watch, but the half bald keeps putting me off.
Exactly--it was a cultural time period. But I have the same answer as to Lady Meow: I thought they looked very handsome and dignified. (I'll take 13th prince any day--Smile!)
I just want to start watched this drama, is it good? Happy ending?
I also recommend to watch this drama. I started to watch it once and then dropped it right away because I just wasn't ready yet after watching the original Chinese Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin). But now it has been quite a while and I was wanting to see something similar to the original, so I started watching this. Although it can never be the same quality, I like the storyline and actors and watched all the way to the end--which I was happy with. Enjoy!
I really liked this drama although I passed on it the first time. It is similar to Scarlet Heart (Chinese version). I thought it was very well done although not quite the same quality in cinematography, costumes and acting. But it was a good story and the actors were good. It has a somewhat different focus than the original Scarlet Heart. There was a little too much of the antagonistic sister, but I liked it overall and it had a really good ending (although I would have liked it to be just a little longer--Ha)! Now I feel like I need to go watch the Chinese Scarlet Heart again! I recommend watching both of them (:
Another drama “Defendant” is excellent with actor Ji Sung—who also starred in “Secret.” Both dramas highly recommended!
