Dont watch See you again if you like Shawn since his character is portrayed weak there and second lead has more…
I have seen all of the above plus here are two more of my favorites that I would love to see sequels to: “Scarlet Heart” (Chinese version, also named Bu Bu Jing Xin); and “Tribes and Empires” (loved the actors and “side stories”); “Tale of Nokdu” (so funny and smart—a little too short but really good!) So many more...I love historical dramas! Enjoy!
Loved you so much in “Princess Agents.” and also “Scarlett Heart” (Chinese version). I have waited so long that I’m starting to have withdrawals because I can’t see the sequel to Princess Agents.—You were my favorite actor! Where are you? I keep trying to find you in anything! Hope all is well and take care.
I completed the whole thing in like a day and I have to say that I haven't watched such a hilarious and different…
Have you seen "Tale of Nokdu?" It was so laugh-out-loud funny while also being seriously dramatic and realistic--and the music was so well done! I just watched it a few weeks ago and now it is one of my all-time favorites!!! I rated it 10/10.
I am on episode 3. While this rom-com seems like a cute and unique plot so far, the background music is very monotonous and distracting--even if it is a comedy!
Well, it is a rom-com so one has to expect a little silliness and be in the right mood for it. I really liked the storyline and all of the actors. I did not really like that they showed the end of every episode at the beginning of each episode. It was a somewhat unique take, but I didn't feel that it added anything special to the drama and I kind of don't like to know the end before the beginning. The one other thing I could easily have done without, was the music. The melody was okay--kind of rom-comish, but I was really getting annoyed by the constant lyrics on the screen and the loud intrusive singing. I love good music in a drama but I think it interfered with different emotions I was trying to process in each episode. It would have been much better to have just the background tune playing once in a while in appropriate places. Otherwise, it was fun watching this drama to the end--especially the ending--It was perfect and I loved it!
Is this drama worth to watch for me who likes The eternal love, Bloody romance, Ashes of Love etc. I love drama…
Have you seen any three of my favorite dramas? Lots of Action, Romance and amazing Cinematography: >Scarlet Heart --original Chinese version (Bu Bu Jing Xin). > Tribes and Empires > Princess Agents
don't force ur self for some good episodes and such. forget it. mm go watch joy of life if u didn't
Joy of Life was good, but be aware you will have to wait another 2-3 years to see part 2. Someone mentioned a part 3 even, but I really don't know anything about that.
This show was brilliant!Such a shame for this masterpiece to be split up into three seasons with years in between…
I agree about the waiting period. It wasn't THAT good. 2-3 year intervals between dramas? I wouldn't have started watching if I had known. That's just way too much of a time lapse and I will have forgotten everything by then. In the meantime, I'm truly disappointed. Also, I did not think the modern-day story telling aspect added anything at all to the story (not like Scarlet Heart --original Chinese version (BuBu Jing Xin). That was an excellent drama with amazing cinematography and actors--although I have to admit the part II sequel story and quality were terrible unfortunately. But the first part was so outstanding that it is okay to never see part II.)
Why is a female actress playing the Northern Qi Emperor role? They always use "he/him" so a woman is pretending…
I know--I was wondering too. Although I do have to say that they did a good job since it was hard to decide if "he" was male or female--except for the voice.
Will we actually ever see a sequel? Too many other really good dramas just get dropped for all kinds of reasons (Princess Agents, Tribes and Empires, etc.). I don't think "Joy of Life" was as good as those dramas (especially the cinematography) but it was worth watching--until the end. I was shocked by the ending of course, but I have no confidence that we'll ever see the rest of the story--besides the fact that it's not scheduled to come out for at least 2 more years (2022)! (That's almost 3 years after Part I in 2019.) I have to say that I am disappointed. I would prefer to know these facts before I start watching (my own fault) and it is way too long to wait--I will have forgotten about it by then.

I watched the first episode of this drama but I just could not get interested. The filming is very dark in the beginning and maybe something is lost in the translation--I’m not sure. It seems okay but something is a little off. I love historical dramas but maybe it’s because I just finished watching “TheTale of Nokdu” which was amazing and maybe there’s just too much difference between the two. I guess I’ll have to try again later.
I'm having a conundrum. I am currently watching this on Viki where there is LOT of hate on the female lead and…
I NEVER watch anything with active comments turned on. Some people can be weird and they even lie to throw viewers off. Why bother? Besides the fact that I really loved the female lead and thought she was perfect for this drama.
“Scarlet Heart” (Chinese version, also named Bu Bu Jing Xin);
and
“Tribes and Empires” (loved the actors and “side stories”);
