I have watched Scarlet Heart 1 numerous times and while I didn't care for this sequel, I decided to watch it again. It just seems that it kind of wanders all over the place--especially the ending. I still rated this a 7/10. ( I do have to mention what an amazing acting job Cecelia Liu did portraying two such different characters. I kept staring to make sure they really were the same person!) I just saw that there was a "Hong Kong" uncensored version with some cuts they took out that referred back to part 1. Does anyone know where I can watch that version? It sounds much better. Thanks.
It's been a while now since this (part 2) came out (three years after the original Scarlet Heart). It really was so disappointing after part one. Is there any chance that someone is going to re-make part two and give us another amazing drama to fit better with Scarlet Heart-part 1? I would personally love to watcj it and I would think that it would be a great opportunity for another great writer, director and cast to show their talents!
I have watched "Scarlet Heart"--Chinese (same as "Bu Bu Jing Xin") so many times now over the last several years. It will always be one of my top favorites. Once in awhile I just miss it and have this desire to watch it again. Everything about this drama is so well done. This time in particular, although I have noticed also in the past, I was remarking to myself about how excellent every part of the music is--so detailed and fitting perfectly to every scene. This drama is truly amazing, at the top of the list. If you haven't seen it yet you will be so impressed! If I could, I would give this drama a rating much higher than a 10.
I want to watch, but the half bald keeps putting me off.
Exactly--it was a cultural time period. But I have the same answer as to Lady Meow: I thought they looked very handsome and dignified. (I'll take 13th prince any day--Smile!)
I just want to start watched this drama, is it good? Happy ending?
I also recommend to watch this drama. I started to watch it once and then dropped it right away because I just wasn't ready yet after watching the original Chinese Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin). But now it has been quite a while and I was wanting to see something similar to the original, so I started watching this. Although it can never be the same quality, I like the storyline and actors and watched all the way to the end--which I was happy with. Enjoy!
I really liked this drama although I passed on it the first time. It is similar to Scarlet Heart (Chinese version). I thought it was very well done although not quite the same quality in cinematography, costumes and acting. But it was a good story and the actors were good. It has a somewhat different focus than the original Scarlet Heart. There was a little too much of the antagonistic sister, but I liked it overall and it had a really good ending (although I would have liked it to be just a little longer--Ha)! Now I feel like I need to go watch the Chinese Scarlet Heart again! I recommend watching both of them (:
Dont watch See you again if you like Shawn since his character is portrayed weak there and second lead has more…
I have seen all of the above plus here are two more of my favorites that I would love to see sequels to: “Scarlet Heart” (Chinese version, also named Bu Bu Jing Xin); and “Tribes and Empires” (loved the actors and “side stories”); “Tale of Nokdu” (so funny and smart—a little too short but really good!) So many more...I love historical dramas! Enjoy!
Loved you so much in “Princess Agents.” and also “Scarlett Heart” (Chinese version). I have waited so long that I’m starting to have withdrawals because I can’t see the sequel to Princess Agents.—You were my favorite actor! Where are you? I keep trying to find you in anything! Hope all is well and take care.
I completed the whole thing in like a day and I have to say that I haven't watched such a hilarious and different…
Have you seen "Tale of Nokdu?" It was so laugh-out-loud funny while also being seriously dramatic and realistic--and the music was so well done! I just watched it a few weeks ago and now it is one of my all-time favorites!!! I rated it 10/10.
I am on episode 3. While this rom-com seems like a cute and unique plot so far, the background music is very monotonous and distracting--even if it is a comedy!
Well, it is a rom-com so one has to expect a little silliness and be in the right mood for it. I really liked the storyline and all of the actors. I did not really like that they showed the end of every episode at the beginning of each episode. It was a somewhat unique take, but I didn't feel that it added anything special to the drama and I kind of don't like to know the end before the beginning. The one other thing I could easily have done without, was the music. The melody was okay--kind of rom-comish, but I was really getting annoyed by the constant lyrics on the screen and the loud intrusive singing. I love good music in a drama but I think it interfered with different emotions I was trying to process in each episode. It would have been much better to have just the background tune playing once in a while in appropriate places. Otherwise, it was fun watching this drama to the end--especially the ending--It was perfect and I loved it!
Is this drama worth to watch for me who likes The eternal love, Bloody romance, Ashes of Love etc. I love drama…
Have you seen any three of my favorite dramas? Lots of Action, Romance and amazing Cinematography: >Scarlet Heart --original Chinese version (Bu Bu Jing Xin). > Tribes and Empires > Princess Agents
don't force ur self for some good episodes and such. forget it. mm go watch joy of life if u didn't
Joy of Life was good, but be aware you will have to wait another 2-3 years to see part 2. Someone mentioned a part 3 even, but I really don't know anything about that.
This show was brilliant!Such a shame for this masterpiece to be split up into three seasons with years in between…
I agree about the waiting period. It wasn't THAT good. 2-3 year intervals between dramas? I wouldn't have started watching if I had known. That's just way too much of a time lapse and I will have forgotten everything by then. In the meantime, I'm truly disappointed. Also, I did not think the modern-day story telling aspect added anything at all to the story (not like Scarlet Heart --original Chinese version (BuBu Jing Xin). That was an excellent drama with amazing cinematography and actors--although I have to admit the part II sequel story and quality were terrible unfortunately. But the first part was so outstanding that it is okay to never see part II.)
