I loved the Korean version my all time favorite...This is my second attempt in trying to watch this Chinese one, but…
Actually, I really liked the Chinese hair style. It went with the era as well as most of the princes were very handsome and I think that half bald made their features more outstanding. I am not Korean or Chinese, but I love the Chinese version best. I think maybe because I saw that one first and the Korean version was just too different. The beautiful cinematography, OST and the excellent actors and strong personalities were amazing in the Chinese version of Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin). Everyone has different likes and opinions so it's okay. (:
I loved Bu Bu Jing Xin (Scarlet Heart--Chinese version)! That one has over 3,000 viewers with a rating of 8.6 This one has 166 views and a rating of 8.2 -- So should I assume that the Chinese Scarlet Heart is that much better than this one? (I wish this was the made-over sequel to the first one--that would be amazing. And my dream!)
I don't usually like dramas that make me cry,--at all, but it's reality. Beautiful story, well executed, really good actors and I loved the music. I've looked up a few of the songs already. I definitely recommend watching this. (It's not just a fluffy love story.) PS I thought the ending was perfect.
This was a good drama although I think it had a few holes in the story line. The actors are good and the music is excellent. I liked the song, but even more impressive was the amazing piano, guitar and other background music in the various episodes and scenes. I would definitely buy the individual music/OST. I did think that the last episode was kind of a let down--way too predictable and slow. I rated it 8 out of 10 stars.
This drama really deserves all of its hype. It has complex characters, tight, fast-paced plot, top-notch acting,…
I agree about the ending. I kept waiting for some surprise "shoe to drop." It never happened and just became kind of blah--although the middle episodes were quite intriguing .
It's hard to watch a negative representation of the U.S. I get it, and I also agree with it, but still, it is…
I am also from California/U.S. --I haven't seen this drama yet , but feel I need to respond to your comment--especially the last sentence. Even though there are some bad images of Americans, there are also bad images of people in other countries in many movies. Each place has it's own culture of good people no matter what state it is in. For over 20 years I have taught and worked in many places across the U.S. and Canada, and I have found that we are very alike in our thoughts and desires. I had a friend from Switzerland who visited me and made a curious comment about "Californians/Americans" and I gently reminded her that the average, normal American does not live or act like people in the Hollywood movies. And I also think that the average person, in any country, probably thinks differently than those in political power. I love Asian dramas, but it does bother me to see some of the foolish and arrogant American personalities portrayed (usually in poor taste)--but remember it's really just a movie and there are many other countries with people with the same type of personalities. Take care.
I think we at least need a heads up that the ending will require a season 2, so that those of us who only binge watch can wait before we start a drama with multiple seasons. Most Asian dramas I have watched (and I love Asian dramas) seldom follow through with the second season. It always seems that there is a mishap with the directors, producers, finances or who-knows-what? But I am bummed that the ending was so abrupt and now I'll have to wait for another entire season. It's fine with me if there are going to be 2 or more seasons in a drama, but at least tell us up front so we can plan and not feel jilted. I really like the actors, but now I have mixed feelings even though it's not the actors' fault. Also, I love the long Historical or Period dramas. (I love the period costumes, the era, the bravery, romance, chivalry, adventure and life lessons of morality when done correctly.) It's fine with me (anyone else?) to just string all the episodes/seasons together--that way, if I like it, it will take a long time to run out of a good drama (and I won't forget about the plot or drama in between seasons)!
Honestly, a big part of why I enjoyed this drama so much was because of Shawn Dou's character. He was the most…
I loved Yuwen Yue's personality. He had a lot to be responsible for and he was very conscientious and moral (not to mention handsome and dignified). Yan Xun (Shawn Dou) was also young and handsome and very innocent, aka happy-go-lucky--at least for part of the drama. I loved the storyline with the competition between respected friends for the love of the main actress, Chu Qiao (Zanilla Zhao). PS I do not get the name of this drama--how was it "Princess Agents?" That makes it sound like it's going to be about a bunch of princesses who are undercover agents!??
I’m not sure why but the main female lead kinda annoys me, maybe it’s her visual that I not favor that much…
This is one of my favorite dramas. I loved the main female. After considering her situation, it seems only natural to have her personality. I really liked her myself. Great acting!
Still underrated! But that’s to be expected a bit since, after all, there are over 25,000 viewers with combined ratings. I just finished “Love Rain” for the third or fourth time, this time on Netflix. I don’t think I will ever forget this drama. Even though there are a few slow spots (as is the case for most dramas), overall it is one of the best romantic dramas—heartfelt with many emotions but still upbeat with challenges to overcome and regrets to get past. I love the cute actors, variety of music and beautiful scenery. It’s a good storyline and I know that I will watch it again at some point. if you’re wondering whether you should watch it, my answer is an unequivocal “Yes!”. Enjoy.
Excellent drama. Loved the actors, music and it was a very interesting story line. Never boring. The ending was close to perfect. I will probably watch this again since I also enjoyed the humor.
I'm not sure how I missed this drama two years ago. I was looking for something interesting and happened across this drama--I was very pleasantly surprised. I loved the two main leads (Sun Yi and Allen Deng) and the story line. I was pretty much captivated every episode. Although it went a little too slow the last two episodes, overall "Because of You" turned out to be a very good drama with an (almost) perfect ending! I rated it 8.5
I love Princess Agents sooo much! I can't help watching it over and over. Such great characters and actors. Best love story. The only reason I could tolerate that ending is because it was so well done and obviously begging for a sequel--with no doubt. But whatever happened, someone should pick up on such an amazing drama to continue it. I have no idea what happened. Could you please tell me where you read the novel translation? Thank you.
PS I don't think I'm going to even try watching this one--too many negative comments!
Late comer here. I watched this a few months ago because of Park Hyung Sik. I loved his bubbly character here.…
I really loved this drama, but I do have to admit that I also cringed over Lee Min Ho's American accent. I was surprised that they wouldn't have helped him perfect that in the drama--but his acting was really good, as always.
Also, I love the long Historical or Period dramas. (I love the period costumes, the era, the bravery, romance, chivalry, adventure and life lessons of morality when done correctly.) BTW Happy Birthday (last month?)!
