Hi. Thanks for the recommendation--especially for a drama that is historical. I haven't watched Kingdom, but I'm not really into horror/zombies. I even tried to watch a couple of vampire dramas because I liked some of the actors, but it just didn't work for me. I have watched a couple of horror types before--who know I might give it a try if I keep hearing good reviews. Thanks again!
I really enjoyed this drama. The actors were perfect together and the storyline was good. I loved the OST and my next step is to find it on iTunes, hopefully the sheet music also somewhere! I rated this 9.5 instead of 10 only because it was a little slow in the middle (one part of an episode) and some of the scenes were a little dark visually (I personally hate that). Otherwise, I could watch this again. Oh yes, I will also mention that I thought the ending was perfect!
You mean she remains weak and reliant to others through out the series?????
I probably won't watch this. It's surprising that the ratings seem decent, but there are a lot of very negative comments so far. I also love strong female characters the best! Have you watched "Princess Agents?" I have seen it several times (also with friends). I have anxiously been waiting for the sequel to "Princess Agents II" but I'm seriously worried that it isn't going to happen (:
Does anyone know where I can watch this drama other than Viki.com? I am so disappointed in Viki. I already pay an annual subscription rate and now I have to pay even more if I want to watch this drama (and others) because they have locks on each episode unless you upgrade. It's so irritating. I also subscribe to Netflix and Amazon Video (who have not raised their prices). It's sad because I feel that many people may have to stop watching Asian dramas now, or at least see many fewer.
I love the actor Jang Hyuk--but I really hate bad endings! Such a conundrum! Do I watch or will I be wasting my time by episode 24? That's a lot of hours in your life to throw away.
Boring, it's a shame, such good actors. Netflix is ruining Korean dramas.
I haven't watched this yet, but I have to agree that Netflix is ruining Asian dramas in general. I have noticed the ones they are showing and they are far from the best ones available. Such a shame! I love Asian dramas since the first one I watched about five years ago so why not just show the best ones?
Really good movie! Loved the story development--I laughed out loud several times. I would have liked just a little more interaction at the very end but still a great drama. Definitely worth watching!
Does anyone know if this drama has English subtitles after episode 32? I would really like to finish watching it. (I have been watching it on YouTube so far.) Thank you.
I am watching this on YouTube. I am on episode 26 and really liking it so far. I appreciate the English subtitles, but I have to mention that whoever the translator is, they added a lot of their own personal comments to the subtitles and it is very distracting. Even when I watch dramas on Viki.com I always make sure the public comments are turned off because it is just too annoying. But you obviously can’t “turn them off” in this case. Another point is that the subtitles are displayed very quickly and if you try to go back to read them again, the “back/forward” mechanism covers up the words so you have to constantly guess where you should stop in the sequence. Otherwise , I am very interested in finishing this drama. Even though it is 90 episodes, they are only 30 minutes each. I personally love long dramas because there is so much more character and plot development (in most cases). From some of the comments below, I am afraid to see a bad ending but so far the episodes I have watched are so good that it is worth it to keep going! So far, I am thinking about adding this to my re-watch list and hoping that viki will pick it up.
:( I really liked the music and the actors in this drama. And the plot was going great until the last 5 episodes or so, but then it pretty much went all down hill. It started about when the father was trying to reconcile with the son and a big chunk was just cut out of the middle as to what happened. After that, everything was choppy, no good sequencing and you had piece together what happened from the few scenes that were given. Really annoying, all the way to the end at that point. I'm so sad because I thought this drama was going to be one of my new favorites--but I guess not. It was as if they tried to take a bunch of pieces from what should have been about 15-20 episodes and dumped them into the last five or six episodes and let you guess what happened in between. Crazy!
I absolutely loved you in Princess Agents!!! Please tell me that there will be a season 2. I think about this drama all the time and still waiting... Take care.
I have such conflicted feelings about this. On one hand I'm loving it but then on the other there's just this…
I don't understand the point of messing up the ending in Asian dramas. Viewers talk about how much they hate these types of endings, but it seems to be done quite often. So what is it about? Are they using bad endings just to get people to talk about their otherwise good drama? It doesn't make sense to me. I just don't watch those types of dramas at all if I hear the ending is going to be so bad. Another pet peeve of mine is when you watch a pretty good drama that promises a sequel and then it never happens. I can kind of understand taking a year (maybe) but that's the limit to me. Oh well, I guess the only thing one can do is just quit watching in the first place. I've considered it, but I really do love watching Asian dramas and movies. Maybe I'll get to that point one day of no longer watching.
I am on episode 4 and really liking this drama so far--including the music. Does anyone know where I could get the piano sheet music for the OST songs? Thank you so much.
“When I watch Mr. Sunshine, I feel like I am watching an oscar nominated film.”— statement from the above review is exactly how I feel about this drama. I watched this before and now I’m going to watch it again. Everything is amazing about this drama, the cinematography, the music, the actors (child and adult), the plot. Can’t give it enough praise. It’s a drama you will never forget!
Very cute comedy. (Loved the main actress and all the other actors were perfect.) Definitely realistic slice of life with right-on comments of life situations. Would watch again. _Add’l comment... I dropped this drama when I first started it but then came back to it. I’m so glad that I found it again and gave it another chance!
I am one of those who doesn’t care for the age gap—but I can put that aside for a good drama. This one is just so boring and I really am not a fan of visuals that are very dark. Sometimes you have to really strain to see the background. I have watched 6 episodes and right now I’m really wondering if I can finish this. I like the actors and I love anything that has to do with music, but this is just sooo slow! Sorry.
I like the actors in this drama and the story line is good--until the last two or three episodes. It was 2 episodes too long and I really did not like the way they chose to end this drama. All that happened in the last 2 episodes should have happened before. I also want to mention that the English subs were good the first 20 or so episodes, then something happened to the translators because many of the scenes were not translated at all and in several episodes the lip movements did not match the audio playing. It was very distracting and just added to the frustration of a terrible ending.
If you like "Desperate Love," you really must watch "Bu Bu Jing Xin_Scarlet Heart 1." It is one of my very favorite Chinese historical dramas--So beautiful!! (:
I also love strong female characters the best! Have you watched "Princess Agents?" I have seen it several times (also with friends). I have anxiously been waiting for the sequel to "Princess Agents II" but I'm seriously worried that it isn't going to happen (:
