I think all wuxia dramas should be made like this, thrilling, realistic & entertaining. No stupid fake stunts or bogus 'inner skill' theories gave us realistic & enjoyable fight scenes. The story was quite solid. The sets are so beautiful with elaborate designs, the costumes perfect, and the chemistry between the actors topnotch. I liked that Feng Suige wasn't obsessed with the throne. His chemistry with Yixiao was really beautiful, I like how they love, trust & appreciate each other's worths & skills. My favourite character is Xia Jing Yan, the Jinxiu emperor😄, he's a loony nutcase! Qin Tian Yu is a good actor, cause he gave a totally different vibe in Threads of Destiny.
Feng Xiyang is another mind-numbingly & irredeemably stupid girl, like Song Yinzhang in A Dream of Splendour🙄. I wanted a worse end for her than she got. The OSTs & BGMs were really nice, my favs are 'don't cry' & 'laughing along with the song'. I rate this a solid 9.5 👍, Will definitely rewatch continuosly.
