Right, he's using the term incorrectly so no need to worry. The story doesn't depend on sexual content at all... but, let's say for argument's sake that it did... I fully agree with what the op is saying, so I'm one of the people that upvoted him. I'm going to add that an esteemed actress, wife and mother *won't* be degrading herself or her family, don't worry.

The casting couch has been a famous and common expression in Hollywood since talking pictures began. I remember David Niven wrote about it in his wonderful book The Moon's a Balloon. There have always been actors and actresses who got parts that way, it doesn't apply in this scenario where we're speculating about the content of a drama, not how roles were won.
The director made one of the best films I've ever seen. Netflix offered him wads of cash to churn stuff out based on his name value, he might as well take the money I guess.
This reminds me, it’s a pity how quickly we can go from being diehard fans to feeling overexposed with actors.…
True, it's a test of one's loyalty. I can see what Netflix and Disney are doing, picking actors and writers with reputation, they don't seem to know how to read the room when it comes to k-dramas which is why I stick to the TV networks who know their stuff. My favourites at the moment are Iron Family and Doubt, I don't need big budget nonsense from N and D, they miss the essence.
what do you mean by forcing-- this story literally all about it, so if you don't want to watch those scenes, i'd…
There's something desperate and awkward about Netflix erotica, ironically it isn't erotic. It's a bit try-hard. There's nothing raw on Netflix, everything goes through a thousand filters until it's been sanitised and synthesised. It's only marginally ahead of Disney in its understanding of art and humanity, as a creator.
Edit, I should say 'currently', its days of trailblazing have long gone - just like this director and others that have allowed a huge company to neuter them for the sake of cash.
Netflix put the drama A Virtuous Business under a category named "Grown-ass women living their best lives". So I avoided it. An idiot's taken control of netflix. They must think we're all extremely common and stupid. Like Kamala swigging a beer. Or Labour's Angela Rayner if you follow UK politics, out to please the lowest denominator. So patronising. Ffs.
I watched the first episode and found the drama slow. Is it worth continuing to watch?
If you didn't see the cast of the raindrops on his face as he pondered in a forlorn bedroom, you're missing what it's about. There are clues everywhere and the staging of every scene is purely sumptuous.
From the second this drama started l loved everything about it, the atmosphere of the house was palpable. The quality is astounding. Every scene is a delight, an intricate picture that tells its own story, beautifully drawn. The characters are engaging from their first appearances. The dialogue is genuine, where needed it's pacey, I had to read the subs with vigour to keep up (a rarity) and other times we get to watch the impeccable scenes undisturbed. The narrative is unfolding in perfect rhythm, marvellous storytelling, MBC coming up with the goods again, top notch.

I've got Ji Chang-wook fatigue. He should co-star with Shin Hye-sun, another over-exposed celebrity.
Connecting the first names would be perfect:
Shin Hye-sun led drama Dear Hyeri...
