If you open the door, I'll be right outside.
So where do i start ?
The perfectly written storyline ? Loveable characters ? Solid acting? Unforgettable dialogues? And so on...
This drama has everything of top tier quality.
(And Don't wanna compare, but imo this drama is just as good as WLGYT if not better...these both dramas have become benchmark for slice of dramas...)
So here's my review:)
Storyline:
Absolutely great with focused themes of depression and overcoming trauma...
The swap between twins part is presented with sense of realism to it. And, almost all parts of storyline have realistic and sincere portrayal. The main character's conflict as well as side character's conflict are all resloved gracefully in the end. And honestly, its just a healing story of people.
Acting:
The cast for this is absolutely stacked. Every performance here is so well done. And of course, park boyoung is star of the show with her effortless portrayal of two twins, the way she managed to present different natures of twins is so incredible and dare i say, its her best performance in her career so far. Park jinyoung gives grounded performance as Lee Ho su. Another highlight would be kim sunyoung with her wholesome performance as hosu's mother, she'll make you fall in love with the character. Also, shout out to lee jae in and park yoon so for their portrayal of teenage miji-mirae and hosu, they did awesome job.
Music:
I don't give much attention to music so I'm not really sure about this one. The opening song is cute. And i didn't feel there was any moment where i thought that the music was misplaced or unfitting so i guess it was good overall.
Key highlights:
-Slow buildup of relationships with natural chemistry. Its fresh to see such slow burn romance done right.
-DIALOGUES. You have to pay attention at dialogues here because they're the backbone of this slice of life story. There are so many quotes to take away and learn from.
-there's no villain, just real people with flaws and imperfections.
-Satisfying resolutions to conflicts.
Overall a must watch if you enjoy slice of life, romance dramas. (I'd suggest this to anyone though, its overall mustwatch) and when I'm saying must watch, it genuinely is.
Also, keep tissues close by cause almost each episode has few heart melting, heartbreaking, bittersweet moments.
