true. i get that. and I'm not going to defend it. what i honestly loved about the movie was the gut wrenching sad ending. that obsession was familiar to me, i identified with it. and the music was pretty damn good too.

it's from eating/chewing betel nut (i think). then when they rinse it off their teeth are white. two problems though. back then, the nuts were expensive, and it was also very bad for your oral health.
