Fr, you're accurate! The second time I could feel how SY's pov much clearly, the first time we were focused more on WYF's pov. I could feel how much he loves her, regrets not going back to her, how much he despises that Che Xingde, and how much he cherishes her😭😭😭
Recently I was rewatching the series, I was at the HK arc, clearly we can see how much SY regrets not knowing what she went through and obviously doesn't want leave her but always wants to protect her. He regrets not reaching out to her years ago. It's visible clearly. You can see how WYF also realises that leaving everything behind will just hurt everyone in the end, and it isn't the solution. She initially, wanted to return to Nanwu for college because of him too. I think HK arc is necessary and adds to the depth of the plot. No matter how many times I rewatch, I always end up grabbing tissues or pausing to calm myself. You can see how much they cherish each other. The characters are so real, everything feels so real. Plot is so impressive and so is the acting with the OST, everything is perfect. The best drama I've ever watched.
