Most of the main points are resolved, like the central plot, and there isn't much left except for an issue I mentioned earlier when I posted an ending spoiler. I think it's a satisfying conclusion to a great story.
what at the ending what happened to everyone else and what about wuji and fuyao being kings and queens of their…
Wuji tells Fuyao that she will become the female ruler of the five kingdoms. If you remember, friends that are main leads met through their journey are in control of the kingdoms in the end, and peace is finally restored. To be more clear:
Yun Hen rules Taiyuan, Zhangsun Wuji rules Tianquan, Zhan Beiye rules Tiansha, Fuyao rules Xuanji, and Yalan Zhu rules Qiongye (Wuji almost vanquished it).
I made a post about the ending ahead of time. Fuyao's love for Wuji allowed her to break free of Fei Yan's grasp and defeat Fei Yan by stabbing herself. Remember that Zhan Beiye, Ya Lan Zhu, and Zong Yue were very close to their location and knew where Fei Yan took both of them. Although it's not shown, it's strictly implied that they came and saved both of them after Fei Yan was defeated. The closing scene involves Wuji and Fuyao returning to Xuanji and reminiscing about the endless possibilities that the future holds for them. Fuyao talks about potential difficulties that can arise since the world is never a peaceful place. Wuji tells Fuyao that no matter what happens, he will be her light. These final words reflect on many of the morals that both Fuyao and Wuji came to accept throughout the course of the story, making the conclusion a very satisfying one.
Sidenote (Production Spoiler):
Ethan must of been extremely exhausted throughout the production, you can tell from his skin color he filmed the ending during the earlier stages of production where he looked healthier. Even though the story was a masterpiece, I can't help but feel sorry for the actors. There is actual meaning behind the name Fuyao in the opening song, since the name is in the lyrics: 扶风摇曳.
The Fuyao trailer kind of gives away the ending, the Fuyao ending song (MV) gives the rest of it away. The last line Fuyao speaks in the trailer and the last scene in the MV show that Fuyao regained her consciousness, stabbed herself and fell (Almost like a repeat of Zhan Beiye doing the exact same thing, not sure how he got magically revived), Wuji was able to successfully hold her hand and use his healing skills to save her. My best guess is that their friends will arrive afterwards to help both of them, since it already happened so many times in the drama. We get our happy ending, which is great, but I feel like a lot of it was way too rushed, and there are too many unanswered questions like what would happen when Pei Yuan died along with Yan Jingchen, they both held important positions, so Yan Lie would do something about Jingchen's death. Instead, he disappeared from the drama.
I believe it was meant to be that way in the real vision. The fake folian had already put the map into the the…
If you take a look back at episode 33, the fake map didn't allow the smoke to combine with the other maps. The fake Folian had the real map the entire time. The most confusing part is when Wuji had the exact same starting lines between the fake vision and his version of the vision: he was thanking Folian for bringing the map, which gets really confusing with the two versions since he sees the map in one version and it's not present in the other version. A bigger question for Wuji's vision is why he said he was waiting for Folian for a long time. However, what we actually know is that Wuji said it looks like the tree was saved, but this doesn't go well with him saying thanks to Folian for saving the tree with her map beforehand which occurs in his version of the vision, it's a paradox. As the audience, we know exactly what happened, but there's issues with both visions on what happened.
One major mistake I noticed was that no smoke came out of the boxes when Fu Yao touched the mystical leaf to see Wuji's memories. Remember how Fu Yao saw the smoke rising before?
I've finished explaining the ending, spoilers though. The show creator's didn't make it very obvious for good…
The most important detail was the fact that Yunxi's scar didn't return. Qishao knew that the poison by itself could not be cured, but she combined it with the small poison beast's blood to create a medicine to heal her broken heart, similar to how two harmless reagents turned into a poison that nearly killed Long Tianmo. Feiye told Yunxi about the unique scar the first night they slept in the same room. Notice how the scar showed up during the start of the story and again when she drank poisoned water. It didn't show up when she inhaled poison since she used the needle technique ahead of time to expel the poison. I guess the plot really falls apart towards the end.
This one states that white fish can cure the cursed poison, but I don't think her mom is still alive at this point,…
I've finished my explanation in another one of my posts on this forum. Your Chinese is pretty accurate, but I don't think this channel is accurate with the information. Episode 46, 47, and 48 are enough to understand the ending. The creators made the ending very subtle because the plot really starts to fall apart during the last few episodes. Like after causing so much trouble for Feiye throughout the story, Tian Hui Di runs away the moment Feiye starts to fight back, and the final battle was very anticlimactic since Tian Hui Di fell apart right away, he didn't put up a fight at all. The biggest indicator of the plot falling apart was Tian Hui Di all of a sudden endorsing Poison Gu People even after he punished Long Tianmo for researching them, and how did he all of a sudden succeed instantly on a research that kept failing for decades.
I've finished explaining the ending, spoilers though. The show creator's didn't make it very obvious for good reasons. I split the explanation up in my individual posts.
Yunxi told Qishao that her vial contained a medicine (or elixir) that she created before she started drinking…
The key to understanding the ending is the seven poison grass, it was explained pretty well in episodes 46, 47 and 48. In episode 46, Yunxi started to notice something very subtle about Qishao's blood and the Poison Gu people's blood. Yunxi was trying to show Qishao a very important discovery, but instead, he was fixated on her beauty and refused to give her the seven poison grass because it was an ingredient to Feiye's medicine. During episode 47, Yunxi was able to get the seven poison grass, but remember, she never used it for Feiye's medicine, Qishao had to make the entire medicine since he had all the reagents. If you paid attention to the vial in episode 47, it was same vial she drank in episode 48, Qishao knew it contained the seven poison grass, but we also know that it contained the poison beast's blood, which is an extremely powerful healing reagent. Yunxi told Feiye that she created a new medicine in episode 47, and he would be soon be in a better condition. Feiye thought that Yunxi was lying to him, but Yunxi already promised to stop lying to Feiye earlier. The last worry Yunxi had was whether Qishao would help Feiye because it would determine her fate, which is why she was still worried during their wedding. If you recall the lady who saved Qishao during episode 48 after Yunxi drank the medicine, it was Yunxi, since the only medicine that could of saved Qishao's life was the medicine containing Yunxi's heart blood, and Qishao mentioned leaving the blood at a specific place in Mei Hai after he recovered. One last thing I find interesting is that Qi in Qishao means seven, and it's also the first word in seven poison grass, so Qishao's name could potentially be derived in honor of the seven poison grass. I hope this finally clarifies the ending. To be more clear, the medicine Yunxi drank involved two powerful items, the seven poison grass and the poison beast's blood, and it saved her.
I was also very confused. Some people said that it was because her soul was still alive in the bracelet or something.…
I think it made some sense. Remember, Yunxi said that she was drinking an elixir that she personally refined when she was talking to Qishao in the final episode. So it was the other option that she had.
I thought the ending didn't detract from the story, and here's my explanation. I think it's reasonable since I'm…
Yunxi told Qishao that her vial contained a medicine (or elixir) that she created before she started drinking from it. Yunxi fell after she finished drinking, which is why a lot of people speculate that she poisoned herself, but she wasn’t since her scar didn’t return and she was able to move her knife to a coordinated location without any problems; Yunxi wasn’t lying to Qishao. Yunxi’s birth father told Yunxi that the bracelet contained records of medicines and various medical skills, so the glow meant that Yunxi was alive because of her medicine and she was checking for other skills that could help her physical condition after Qishao left to help Feiye. If you recall from earlier, Feiye had scars that went through his heart, so there are medicines that can allow a person to survive a cut through the heart.
Yunxi was the person who gave Qishao the medicine. The medicine was very special since Qishao was hurt from an unique poison and she was the only one who had the skills to help him at this point. Yunxi was the only medical expert who wore green earrings prior to the last episode, and she had them when she was visiting Feiye’s adopted mother before she died. Yunxi was also the only one who had the unique hair decoration the person was wearing, and you can see it from the Feiye’s flashback at the end of the episode. Finally, there’s a brief moment where the camera focuses on her hand when she’s holding the bracelet and again when she’s hugging Feiye at the end of the episode, they appear to be the same pair of hands. She looked different since we are seeing her from Qishao’s view, but Qishao’s vision wasn’t clear as a result of the poison he was inflicted with.
The last question is why Yunxi didn’t go to see Feiye if she was still alive, he even held a funeral for her. Yunxi's mother, father, Baili Mingxiang, and Gu Beiyue all lost their lives exploring the medical field, which terrified Yunxi as she realized what could potentially happen to her. After Gu Beiyue died, Yunxi knew that Qishao was the only one left who could help her, which is why she chained him before sacrificing herself to make sure he would save Feiye. Yunxi took the bracelet from Qishao because she was afraid people would pickpocket him while he was unconscious. There was a lot of foreshadowing to Yunxi’s decision from both Yunxi’s adopted family and father when they stated that her mom’s greatest wish was for her to live a peaceful and normal life. Yunxi wanted to fulfill her mom’s wish and she also knew that she would be attracting a lot of unwanted attention if she went to see Feiye, which is why she decided to stay home.
Finally, one of the finest details in the ending was the relieved expression on Feiye’s face as he closed his eyes before the final overhead view. This indicates that the story of a young girl whose life changed after acquiring a magical bracelet has reached it’s conclusion.
I personally think that most of the loose ends are wrapped up in the story at this point, there’s no real need for a second season.
I thought the ending didn't detract from the story, and here's my explanation. I think it's reasonable since I'm using earlier events in the story to explain the ending.
Has anyone read the book to interpret the ending? When Yun Xi died, her bracelet (the one her mother left behind)…
This one states that white fish can cure the cursed poison, but I don't think her mom is still alive at this point, since she fell off of a cliff and the Empress was able to recover her medicine bag. I think the vial she drank before she stabbed herself saved her life, and it was a medicine she learned from the bracelet, since it was glowing quickly after she drank the medicine. It's important to note that the bracelet can teach more than just medicine for curing poison, since Yunxi was able to use the bracelet to create a paint that gave Long Ice pimples. The video also shows that her mom was holding the medicine bag when she fell off of the cliff.
This theory seems ok to me. I mean when she died, it seems that the bracelet has some magical moment going on,…
In the show's opening sequence there's a scene where Long Tianmo's uncle is on the floor since he also fell after drinking a substance, I don't think this is giving away too much.
This theory seems ok to me. I mean when she died, it seems that the bracelet has some magical moment going on,…
One thing I asked myself when I watched was whether Yunxi was actually drinking poison, since I paid attention to little details in the story. Poison vials and medicine vials have distinct appearances if you recall from earlier, since people in the medical field are very organized. The vial Yunxi was drinking from looked really similar to her mom's medicine vial which the Empress gave her earlier to earn her loyalty. Qishao handed out poison vials as well, and that's the episode you should look at. There's one last detail that's pretty important, but I don't want to spoil too much until the show finishes its release.
Can someone explain to me why Yun Xi had to kill herself ??
It's explained in the other comments. There's several important details in the last episode that explain how she survived if you kept up with the earlier parts of the story,
Yun Hen rules Taiyuan,
Zhangsun Wuji rules Tianquan,
Zhan Beiye rules Tiansha,
Fuyao rules Xuanji, and
Yalan Zhu rules Qiongye (Wuji almost vanquished it).
