If I am not mistaken she is filming HI 6 for Northward tomorrow which means that it will probably be released next month:). And it is likely to be released on CCTV 1.
Under the Power (even if Ren Allen was not famous at the time like he is now, he was still very popular) and ABAY had traffic actors as ML and the broadcast time hasnt always been smooth between fans (I remember some scuffle at the time with UTP) but at the end of the day, BOTH dramas did very well and 7 had a good filming time which is what matters the most imo.
Traffic actors bring their popularity besides their acting. Seven brings the TV Audience. BOTH contribute to the success of a drama. Dilraba, Lusi, Bailu, Esther...every actor famous or not go through some "drama" between fans when the drama is airing sometimes. It sadly comes with the territory in their field.
I dont understand not wanting your fave to work with traffic actors when a big reason as to why a project was successful besides 7 is their popularity that they bring to the table. ABAY is still doing very well internationally and that's not mostly her doing. UTP is re-airing as well.
Whether people want to admit it or not, popularity matters to some extent in this day and age in that industry besides the acting. Brocade Odyssey should have already been close to even 800.000 reservations because it is about to air and yet it is only at half a million of reservations. YES, YES the drama will do very well on TV and elsewhere when it airs but my point still stands.
Xiao Yao airs next year and it is almost at 1800 watchers here higher than BO (Brocade Odyssey) when it doesnt even have that much material yet and it airs next year.
With BO, 7 and her fans are mostly carrying this drama so far.
At least I know that with Xiao Yao we will have Neo fans as well to hype the drama before/when it airs. This is NOT a slight to ZYC who is a great actor but I am sorry but I personally dont want the main hype of a drama to mostly rely on my fave. I am all of 7 working with popular AND less popular actors.
No matter when it's airs they will always be competitors I don't know why they are dragging the drama it almost…
It's definitely 1 of their big projects. This drama isn't the 1st one and won't be last one that find itself in this predicament. A lot of big dramas sometimes have this issue where the airing date seems like it takes forever.

Yes that announcement video was so good and so well done. You can tell that it is quality drama being produced but since then they have been gatekeeping content sigh..... I wonder if they are planning to release it on the weeks leading up to the drama airing to start to promote.
