Like idk what possessed him during the shooting of this drama but he was "locked in". Like I'm so impressed by his performance here . He did so well as Han Ting. My favorite role from him since Fuca .

Well it depends. Like some people already said here, if you have strong backing or if you're firmly established in the industry, stuff like this dont usually happen to you. It is because he doesnt seem to have a strong agency or backing and he is not firmly established yet as an actor (like some of the very, very famous C actors but he is getting there). The more famous, established he gets, the less things like this will happen.
Well I dont put too much trust in his company; I think that only his hardwork will continue to pay off.
He had a stellar year so far; with so many endorsements and his dramas did well so it can only go up from here.

Oh dear no. I wished he didn't take this project. It is going to be even worse here. This is just mostly a vehicle to promote them (the artists from his company) which means that his screentime will be reduced or his arc will be manipulated to look less attractive than others .
This reminds me of a drama that XK did a few years ago. The name is escaping me now and I kid you not the other 2nd lead, 3rd lead.....had way more screentime than him in that drama and it is because they were artists from his own company that the boss wanted to promote.

Also this lowkey happened with Wang xue yue and ZLH in Story of kunning palace. Thank goodness ZLH character still ended up the most popular at the end. I kept wondering why there seem to be quite of a bit of screentime for WXY and Bailu or him period ...and turns out that they are in the same company and now they are getting a drama together lol.

You see the main common denominator here? Artists (2nd, 3rd ML ....)from YZ company 😬.

I hate to break it to you but the same situation will happen...especially in a YZ drama. 5 sml and they are from her company ? Yeah it is mostly to promote them which means that his arc or screentime will not be befitting of a ML.

I have seen the male lead fans of the recent Lost you forever 2 (with YZ) complain about the fact that his screentime was diminished even more in the 2nd act.

I lowkey expected this to happen when I saw such a big ensemble cast. I have seen it happen with some up and coming actors who are popular. The drama using them to promote others (and this is not a shade to other actors btw). Like how do you explain someone who is supposed to be a Male Lead getting less scenes than the 2nd,3rd lead....Ive seen it happen.

Him cooperating with traffic flowers doesnt necessarily guarantee a good treatment either because by virtue of being 1st billed will have more scenes than him anyways.

It is unfortunate but at the end of the day he still did very well. The more successful projects he will get, the more say he will have into things like this.

FOF is currently at 8.8 here . Huge. So happy for him :). He had a great year (even Dashing Youth did well ) except the messiness of Divas hit the road .

I am really looking forward to Xiao Yao next year with Seven. Also I am glad that it is not a big ensemble drama like Dashing youth and FOF. Plus it is an original work. Very Excited.

I feel like this is now Neo's big "breakout role" . Very happy for him :). And a 8.8 Rating? Way to go !!!

I don't like Wang Kai 😬😬😬. I love Wallace. I've watched a couple of his dramas 🙂🙂. I was looking forward to his other drama Emperor's of love but because of the FL scandal it has been cancelled 🫤🫤.
I wish she would work with Wallace again in the future or Allen Ren.

That's my thing also. I know that the ML of this drama is probably supposed to be older but he really does seem older for his age 😅😅. Look at Wallace chung... although he turns 50 in a few days, he still has a younger looking face imo.

Even with Tang Wei, even though she is older than him,when they played when they met as teenagers in the drama that they did, he really did not look the part 😬😬😬and that threw me off.

The only Drama I saw him in was with Tang Wei. Tang dynasty. I dropped it mostly because of his character honestly. I really love these type of historical dramas, especially Tang Wei character but I couldn't do it after. 10 episodes. He annoyed me in that Drama 🙈🙈 plus I wanted to see her end up with the 2nd male lead instead 😬. They had more chemistry.
