XK was NOT 2nd billed next to Seven (and there is nothing wrong if he was imo); BOTH were equally billed. Just like Yang yang and Dilreba if I am not mistaken. He is popular and does well acting wise. If this cant be the case for a cooperation (equal billing ) then a drama between them wont happen because he will NOT accept be 2nd billed to her and rightly so imo. TSY has been nominated for the very prestigious Magnolia Award which is already an achievement in itself and she has many , many awards.
Dont do this. I like Dilreba and always defend her elsewhere when people randomly drag her. Yes Seven is not popular like Dilreba but they're 2 different types of actresses and that is Okay. Seven does not care to go the traffic route (just like there is nothing wrong with others actors who do). All TSY dramas do very well especially with TV ratings. Passerbys always tune in for her dramas.
She holds the record of viewership with Go ahead 2020, Road home last year and so far As beautiful as you with Xu Kai this year on Hunan TV/Mango TV. Not only that but her other dramas that were broadcasted in other channels are top 2 or 3 for CVB ratings overall which can be easily checked. 1 of her dramas Go Ahead is having a Korean remake at the moment so I think that she does fine popularity wise. Again she is not a traffic actress (by choice ) but her dramas always do very well. I am not going to list all her achievements bc this is Reba's page but yeah.....
Going back to XK and Reba...it is unfortunate. I have said it here on this page in the past and his as well , I would love to see them act together as I like them both but with the way fans like to throw tantrums with billing, I dont see it happening anytime soon. Some Chinese Seven fans did the same thing when casting was announced (plus equal billing) but thank goodness she does not care about stuff like that ; she cares more about the drama/the story than all that superficial stuff. So many great parings that we miss bc of Billing issues :/
Ughhh I loved the Sword and the Brocade so much ❤️❤️❤️. I rewatched a few episodes again the other day.Their slow burn love story and how the Marquis fell in love 1st ❤️❤️. I especially loved how Seven's character couldnt care less about the marriage for a long time. It was so refreshing for a harem drama because usually the wife or concubine will do everything, literally everything to win the favors of her husband but she couldnt care less (for like half of the drama lol) and was just focusing of finding an exit route 💀💀 It could also because I love Chinese harem dramas and strong female leads and this was a different kind of strong FL.
Idk how Brocade Odyssey is going to top that for me. I dont think it will be able to.

I dont have any issues with people not liking the drama because we are all entitled to our opinions. What I had an issue with , is you implying in your earlier comment (that you edited) that Fans of a popular male actor will rate a drama very highly even if the drama has "issues with it" . This is true in a lot of instance as I have seen it happen here on MDL but in XK's case , it is not really true. If his fans had the power to do that, this drama and the other ones he released this year would be sitting at 8.3 at the very least like I see with other dramas with other traffic male actors. Yet 2 of the ones he released this year are at 7.8 and 7.6....and ABAY will probably join them in a few months.
He has quite a few dramas here below 8 so fans are not (positively ) mass rating anything. If anything , that is the opposite here with him. This is where others had issues with your comment. You not liking the drama is an opinion and you are completely entitled to your opinion.

Well you basically implied in your earlier comment that his fans will rate his dramas very highly even if there "faults "with the drama 🫥🫥🫥. To which other people replied that if that were the case, this drama would have had at least 8.3 or 8.4 here like other C or K dramas which had "shortcomings'". You're entitled to your opinion. I and many other people happen to think that they had a lot of chemistry here. In fact, 1 of his best FLs in terms of chemistry.
Wang Kai is a good One ( it's a pairing I would like to see too) but he'll most definitely want to be 1st billed and quite honestly given his seniority and his standing in the industry as a great actor, I think that it seems a bit reasonable.
I want her to act with more serious actors who aren't necessarily traffic actors.
Quite honestly ,I'm kind of sick and tired of the fact that she keeps getting casted lately with traffic or up and coming popular actors instead of veterans or actors who may not be popular but who are recognized for their acting.
I feel like she has more to give as an actress but we're not going to see that depth if she keeps undertaking some projects or work with a specific type of actors.
