Not a fan of Zheng Di but I must applaud the actress acting in episode 25👏👏👏 ( yes I'm rewatching lol) when Han Ting told her that he and Ji xing are in a relationship. Her acting was on point. Her reaction conveyed a myriad of emotions ( pain, sadness, heartbroken...) so well imo .

I've been wondering if Youku ( although they suck at promoting imo) have a deal with Netflix 🤔🤔🤔. I've noticed how most of their recent dramas that finished airing in China and other apps immediately air on Netflix afterwards. Legend of Anle, the double and now princess Royal......All Youku dramas 🤔🤔.

If that's the case, then Tencent needs to get on it.

What conspiracy theory are you talking about? I mentioned below and I believe someone else did as well that it wouldn't be surprising that someone had it for him behind the scenes because it seems like he caused trouble for an actor a few months ago with some allegations.

We all want the drama to air. I do not care for that actor either but the situation is what it's. I'm just hoping for some miracle here.

It's ridiculous that this drama isn't even at 8.4 or 8.5.. Much subpar dramas ( no offense) get that for less 🙃🙃🙃. Watch it drop even lower 🙃🙃.
I already knew that some people had it for this drama when at only 2 episodes aired on July 2nd, the overall rating was below 6.9/6.8 🙃🙃.
It just seems like some people are maliciously down rating bc I see some rating it at 3 or 1 and I'm like fine what's your reasoning and it's a very generic, it's boring, everyone is boring......🙃🙃🙃.
I'm not even being biased when I say that this is 1 of the better modern C dramas in recent years. Thank goodness it did well ratings wise on TV and other platforms ( even exceeded expectations in some platforms) bc this MDL ratings is bogus imo 🙄🙄🙄

I don't like to be a conspiracy theorist but I wouldn't be surprised if this was also payback. When this news broke down, I've seen some accounts say " karma" to that actor. Apparently he recently accused someone in the industry of soliciting. I feel like this was retaliation and someone had it for him.
Some of these actors really do need to work and mind their business because whatever you have going on in your personal life is now affecting other people's works smh.

Looking back at that variety show you mentioned where she opened a bit about her personal life ( wanting to get married, have a family) I hope she doesn't rush to settle down bc she's turning 35 next year and takes her time. I think that the hosts gave her great sound advice too.

Good point. What happened with her mom most likely also gave her a new perspective on life. Work isn't everything. Try to enjoy life outside of acting if you can. I noticed how she brings her dad with her in some events she has. So cute 🤗🤗🤗.

She even asked Qin Lan at that hi Saturday 6 episode earlier this year if she knows anyone 😅🤣. I think that she should listen to 1 of the hosts advice and be a bit open minded to whoever she wants to date. Who knows what she's looking for. They already give vague answers when you ask their ideal type lol.
As much as I want her to have 3 or 4 dramas airing a year, I don't know how most of these top actors in the C industry do it😅. It's almost as if they don't have any personal life. Back to back dramas filming with no breaks, events, photoshoots, variety shows.... you literally see no breaks in their schedules 😅.

I saw that as well yesterday and I'm not trying to be negative but this only states that his studio denies it. Like any studio would when a scandal about their artist is breaking news. We truly don't know if the allegations are really false. I think that the government usually does an investigation after to verify it ( someone correct me if I'm wrong) and as for the other allegation, idk.

Yup like I said, I've seen it happen with other C dramas; you just have to keep your fingers crossed that the situation is officially announced to be resolved. Even though his studio issued a statement, there will be an investigation and then in the meantime the drama gets postponed/shelved.

I've followed prisoner of beauty, emperor's of love, demons Hunter Romance situations since the FLs tax issues last year . What's worse is that this one is double kill: tax evasion and prostitution. Well let's hope for the best.

What is even more unfortunate is that this drama was Seven costume drama since the sword and the brocade (2021) and now this 😔😔😔. She doesn't do a lot of these dramas and now here we are SMH. Also like someone else below said , I remember her wait for a while for it to start shooting ( she could have been filming something else even 🫤🫤).
I remember her taking equestrian classes during the summer, during her free time to get ready for this drama.
Sigh.........

But that Drama already aired and this one hasn't.

Yeah I understand. It's good that she can take rest in between projects and choose her own work.

I sometimes envy other fans with their faves who film dramas back to back and back and have like 3 or 4 dramas airing a year lol.
I respect Seven's choice to be picky although I wished we could get at least 2 dramas a year.
So it looks like we will get 1 drama this year (ABAY) and 1 drama next year (XIAO YAO).
Fingers crossed the team of Brocade Odyssey dont give up on this drama and reshoot that man's scenes so that we can at least get it next year.
Oh the drought is about to be real.

I am going to hope once again that she joins some of these reality tv shows teams; they are so many fun ones. They are many C actors who are in demand and who dont film dramas as much but who are always in some fixed variety shows; of course, it is my selfish wish a fan.
