Cant believe that this show ended only a month ago....why does it feel like it was ages ago?

Not really watching any current dramas; I just do not find any of them interesting enough...despite some of the ones that I see people are "hyping".
I recently finished a drama that was on my to watch list for longest: Blossom of adversity and it was actually good.

I wished I would've created a weibo account when it used to be a little easier but now it's kind of difficult.

She needs to find the password of her Instagram password too 😅😅🤣

It will interesting to see what her February schedule will look like. Hopefully she'll attend some new year celebrations .
I want her to attend weibo night but I have a feeling that she won't.

He's not 1 of my favorite actors but a drama with them could be interesting 🤔🤔🤔.

The male lead actor needs to improve on his acting. I was making some concessions at the beginning and even in the middle but towards the end it was clear to me that he's not a great actor ( in this Drama).
He literally has this expressionless face on for most of the drama. Thank goodness that overall he didn't have that much screentime as a ML. Even scenes that don't require to be emotional but react in different ways,same expressionless face. Or when he wants to act surprised or shocked he presents a face that you can tell he's " acting" ( I have to look really.......here). It seems so fake.
There were so many tough emotional scenes towards the end where you can see the FL and everyone so emotional and crying yet he stays there with a blank face.
I know that hes the head of investigation bureau and by the virtue of his Job ,he needs to present himself a certain way but at least clench your fist and show some tiny bit of emotion the FL is crying and it's only the of you together.
The way that towards the end, he was still crazy devoted to the emperor even till this death. I'm sorry I came to hate that character.
I don't get 2nd lead syndrome especially I know that they were just friends but I low-key wanted the FL to not be with the ML at the end.....

I watched this on Viki and as toxic as that comment section is towards every single Female leads( and love to praise male lead actors) , this is the 1st time where I saw a lot of people criticizing the ML acting as well( it's really rare).

I like the show so far. The FL is a very good actress and she does an excellent Job but they should have went for a different actress....it is just my opinion.... the age difference is so glaring between the 2 leads. Yes I'm aware that there was a huge Gap as well in the original but IU looked like someone in her 20s. The FL in this remake looks like a teenager. It just bothers me as I'm watching the Drama and their scenes even if it's completely platonic so far.
Again fantastic actress but I cannot even fathom anything remotely romantic between the 2. Meanwhile in Mister despite the age Gap between IU and the ML, I was low-key, low-key shipping the characters towards the end of the drama.
I kind of hope that nothing romantic happens between the leads in this drama.

Also I do not care for the ML relatives in this remake, totally useless use of screentime( yes I know that it follows the original but idk if it's the actors in this one or their lives that i do care to know...).I fast-forward all their scenes and I rarely do that while watching dramas.I get pissed anytime I see them on screen 😣😣😩. I'm so annoyed at that useless uncle of the ML who doesn't want to give his wife a divorce, refuse to sign the papers because he doesn't want to be alone. I have a feeling the show is going to pull some BS and have the wife have a sudden change of heart or act like she suddenly love him.
The ML is nailing the role.

I'm just continuing to watch to see when the ML is finally going to grow a pair, personally and professionally.

His wife sucks but at the same time I can see why she strayed. She should have just left him a long time ago and be with that man.
They do not love each other. The ML strikes me as someone would would rather continue to live a life just to keep up with the pretenses than being honest with himself..... waiting to see for a change like the in the OG version.

I really don't mean to shade but they invite some actors who clearly and even went on record themselves as to say that they know that they can't sing to some of these galas to sing 😅😅 so I'm confused on how some of them works. It's clear that some of them are just popularity contests or just a way to generate traffic/engagement online.

I wished she would say yes to more variety shows. She has the personality for it. I would love to see her on Chinese restaurant ( I think that shen yue recently joined that cast) or divas hit the road ( as someone would love to travel, this would be perfect for her).

I am not sure; I guess we will see.

Hmmmm I refuse to think that they are not good modern scripts out there....(when they are a lot of good modern Cdramas out there with great scripts)......maybe they are just not offering it to him or his company wants him to stick with costume dramas, xianxia, wuxia.......
While he does very well in these genres , I wished they would let him diversify his portfolio a bit more.....heck...give him a Republican drama even.

This drama has been on my to watch list for the longest and I am glad that I finally gave it a chance. It is SO Good !!!

This has to be the 1st time that I watch a Costume Cdrama where I skip 90% of the Leads romantic scenes; it is so boring and monotone; they do NOT have any onscreen romantic chemistry at all. I watch the parts when they are together and they are talking about strategies and what not because is it important to the plot but as soon as the romantic scenes start, big skip; I tried earlier but nope.
I am far more interested in all the other characters love line, they are far more interesting, have chemistry and are engaging.
One thing that slightly bugs me......the Lead actor has almost the same expression in all different scenes .....not good.

My absolute favorite part of this drama is the HUA family women storyline; I am so invested in their stories; also all the other women in the drama from around that time; thankfully the drama is mostly about them and the FL.

Kudos to the FL who is absolutely nailing her role in this drama; This is my 1st drama of hers; I tried watching lighter and the princess but I am having a hard time finishing that one even though I like both leads.
The other Actresses in this drama are absolutely outstanding as well ....especially some veteran actresses that I recognize from previous dramas.

I am almost at the end....but very good drama.

January is almost ending, look which drama is still No.1 globally.
