I just want to say that the review left by EVE here (I believed all viewers can see it when they get to this page) is 1 of the best reviews I have ever seen on MDL and even period !!! And also this is 1 of the rare Modern Cdramas I have seen lately which got even better towards the end...one of my pet peeves with Modern C dramas especially is how a lot of them lose steam towards the middle or the end but this one got even better than the beginning which was already good.

I think that if we get to have a 2nd collaboration between them it will be after they filmed their next drama. I think that he is filming with wang churan next and I read that the ML for this drama is someone else.
It took me by surprise...so glad that I gave it a chance. My favorite Chinese Drama of the year so far.
No offense but I am not a big fan of the leads of POB. The legend of the female general, I started but I am struggling to finish it. I started the first frost and it is really good to I get the hype but it still wont top this drama for me. This drama and Speed of love are my favorites of the year. The unclouded soul may be added too also.
Neo OST song that has been released is so beautiful. He puts so much emotion in his voice. I can feel the pain, sorrow, love when I hear the song. It's so beautiful and he sings it so beautifully. What a talented singer ❤️❤️❤️

Very well said; a very solid supporting cast that added to the story. I realized towards the middle/end of how much I missed the Thailand episodes where we had that group of friends hanging out together...just chilling. It was so nice.
I don't get it, why is the rating stuck at 8.5. This is easily a 9.0 star drama.

we are just grieving because the drama is over :(...only 10 days to hype it....it is a happy ending. I just finished watching it and I am now trying to keep up with all the contents I missed...behind the scenes, IG, weibo, tiktok....posts.
I do not have patience for this type of protagonist who hides everything and does not open him mouth to say anything,…

She went to Thailand when she could, saw their friends, his family....nothing...he told them to not give him news about him at all.
Unlike some other dramas where this happens and we dont even get a clear explanation of why the ML behaved that way....I think that the show did a good job on explaining WHY he acted that way....the part of her seeing her born, how she was always sick, fragile, ....and because of what he experienced he never wanted her to feel pain or aggrieved.....I still think that he should have given her that choice like he finally did towards the end but I get where he is coming from even though I still didnt like it....that was just his personality too.
I felt like she should have made him suffer even more before reconciling with him but he already suffered too much physically and emotionally so I am torn :/
I love that there was no toxic 2nd female lead or 2nd male lead....yeah the girl who was infatuated with zhao at the beginning was going to maybe be a problem but I am glad that they nipped it into the bud and didnt drag it...The scene were she tells mumu about zhao and how his life was, how she felt in love with him....idk I liked that scene. She knew that she didnt stand a chance and quite frankly stayed in her lane....so many dramas have these type of plots that the other love interests that the leads dont like keep trying their luck and it is so annoying and redundant.
Even mumu senior in Canada....I thought that maybe they were going to turn him into a loved sick puppy who is obsessed with her or 2nd,3rd male lead....but I am glad that they didnt go down that route...they were just friends, seniors, juniors, colleagues....no romantic inclinations there....more of it please....A very refreshing take that this drama did.
