Not a big fan of JJY' acting before. Only watch one drama of her. But damn, she nailed her character this time. That cunning, alluring vixen interpretation is what I love the most about this drama. Kudos to her 👏 👏 👏

The visual effect, the make up, the styling, the outfit for this drama are all soo beautiful. Each character was carefully planned. Kudos to the team.

The only issue I have with ep 39 is the FL did not have any fighting scene. Would it be epic if she's the one who lead the army to save her bff. Like at least show her fighting on stairs etc before grabs her bff who about to fell of.

Lord Li had his epic entrance saving the former emperor.

The bff is willing to die so the main villain will also die, so both of them also have their own moment in this ep.

And the ML's cousin also has his own moment saving ML.

And2 the strategist also has his moment making entrance with the army (although no line).

Or maybe I'm being too greedy?

at this point(ep 37), the only way for the ML to stay on the right path in the future is to not have anything happen to the FL, I mean at all.

As listed above from our fellow viewers, for me it's way better to have ML and FL with flawed character rather than the perfect one because that way, I can relate more to their POV, emotions, actions, decisions and etc. And it will give more space for their character to grow into a better person. That's the reason why I love ML of Thai's Meteor Garden compare to the other version (just for your reference).

the fact that the ML is not totally 100% green flag make his character more believable.

(I do not remember the exact ep), the strategist told the FL that the Marquis marches first instead of the foot soldier. In ep 30, you can see the proof during the war scene. I like the details the director put in every scene.

Oh, thanks for the info. I do think there's a chance of him becoming a villain later but seriously I hope, not this time too. I just want a gentleman 2ML with his own happy ending.

Watching both current highlighted couples in the drama, I think the writer wanted to show a comparison between love and obsession.

and now, we have 2ML falling in love with the FL. hopefully, he will have his own love line by the end of the series.

next week will be a festive week for me. hopefully all the tiredness from socializing will keep me away from screen. so. I can binge watching episodes the week after.

binge watching till ep 13 last night. eager to check ep 14 and 15 in nextflix this evening. finish 2 ep in one sit. never a hard core fan for both leads but dammmm, this drama is something else.
