I know this comes late, but maybe this can help you for when you watch other series.
A lot of pirated-stream sites have this problem. The secret is to use adblockers extensions. I use Adblock Plus and uBlock origin, both free. If you're on your phone, use Firefox. Not only they don't sell your data, but you can use extensions like you're able on pc. If there's some ad the extensions didn't block, you can select it to add it to the blocked list.
This special confirmed two things for me, one that Chen Fangtong and Dai Gao Zheng have once in a lifetime chemistry…
This comment made me go watch the sp/bts and OMG YOU'RE SO RIGHT. HIS VOICE!!!!! I get that dubbing is standar in the industry bc standarised accents and all of that but MY GUYS YOU ALREADY HAVE SUBTITLES, LET ACTORS MAINTAIN THEIR VOICE (specially if it's THAT sexy)
Viki subs get things wrong all of the time. I think the difference is, is that Viki has timed comments where we…
Viki is community effort. And they don't have billions in budget. Netflix and Amazon even have subtitles in the same language of the audio that don't match. My dad uses subs even when watching stuff in our native language bc he's hard of hearing, and I don't know how many times I've seen totally different expressions between the subs and the audio. It frustrates me so much.
Its honestly not a big deal, it was a mistake but apparently we can't make them without being crucified by a bunch…
Exactly, it is a JOB. We're not talking about fansubbers, doing it in their free time, we're talking about a multimillion company investing shit in translators so you end with truly atrocious google translate subs or overworked translators. So netflix should be called out. And if this incident push them to take more care of translators and subtitles, I'm all for it.
Bromance usually conveys deeper emotions- rather than physical.
Wooow... I understand everyone has their preferences, but to say two people in love have less deep emotions than friendship... I'm sure you say this of every drama with romance you watch.
This is what I think everytime someone's life is ruined bc it's exposed they used drugs (especially marihuana,…
He was literally charged for 9 crimes, a few of them were sexual assault, illegal camera filming and distribution of said videos and sexual trafficking. It's in the newspapers.
I'm not an obssessed fan but I really liked Big Bang back in the day, they were my first k-band (I stopped listening as much when they went more for techno music instead of rock or hip hop but that's personal taste).
That said I don't have a personal issue with them or Seungri. But I recognize that if a scandal like this exploded, with all famous people involved and how famously corrupted the sk system is, we probably know a portion of it. And when you're in the middle of that horrible place and surround yourself of people who got convicted of gang rape, I don't know about you, but I doubt he's a white lotus, just looking at atrocities and helping people of doing them and not participating. There's literally videos of him violently manhandling and screaming at a woman. For years people in the industry has been saying little tidbits of his nature. Hell, he even admited in a reality show he had a hard drive with sexual videos organized by names.
When he was being investigated suddenly he went to the military service. And then, quite coincidentally, a military court reduced his sentence. If that don't smell of conections I don't know.
The point is, he's not a good person. He has done horrible things. And to be honest I don't really care about him personally.
What I do care is how many lives and careers has been destroyed for things like self medication for depression and anxiety and panic disorders. People has been more time in jail for just smoking marihuana, a well known relaxant (and used for pain managment). A LOT of people has been led to suicide for things like that. And he got a slap on the wrist.
And for the prostitution thing, I agree. It has been one of the oldest jobs on earth. But the point is HOW. The point is the choice. It's over simplistic to say every woman has a choice to do it or not. It's not the same a woman with an OF who chooses with who do it, how to do it, and how much charge; and a woman who is forced or blackmailed into do it. They only need to drug someone, film them and then you can force them to do whatever you want or they post it online or send it to their classmates or family.
That's the sad truth. (And that's in sk, in other places they take their passports and legal papers, or hang over their head debts) So yeah, I think it's you who is oversimplifying a large problem. It's not infantilizing women, it's how a patriarcal and misoginist society asfixiates women.
This is what I think everytime someone's life is ruined bc it's exposed they used drugs (especially marihuana,…
Yeah right... Did you read Go Hara statements? The bunch of victims statements and videos? The documentary? Anything? It was an open secret for years Seungri was shady as hell. The only reason that exploded was timing: tons of proof + he pissed someone (or several) off + they needed him and others as scapegoats to protect people more important.
Also, forgive me, but serving 18 months of prison out of the initial 3 years is a joke for all the people he raped and abused and trafficked. He's LITERALLY a convicted sex offender.
Why are the perpetrators from Burning Sun allowed to live a normal life, and even think of coming back to the…
This is what I think everytime someone's life is ruined bc it's exposed they used drugs (especially marihuana, which is prescribed in a lot of countries for its medical propierties, in contrast with seriously damaging stuff like cocaine) BECAUSE mental health. And then we have literal scum humans who destroyed other people's lives and did truly horrible things... and then they just walk free, with no worries.
the subs are so bad to the point where fan accounts on Twitter have been posting the clips with correct translations…
It's like you said, iqiyi is such a big company, I don't understand why their subs are so terrible. It's not even the bad translations, there's entire lines of dialogue with no subs at all! But considering netflix also have horrible subs most of the time, I'm just at loss. I kinda miss when fansubs were a popular thing. Now I just have to take a big breath and try to not throw my pc out of the window.
Am I the only one who finds the iQiyi subtitles terrible?? I cannot find another version (rip subscene) and it's getting on my nerves everytime I see a line untranslated or a very basic phrase mistranslated. Does anyone know some good subs?

Thank you so much. I'm on 21 and I'm -this- close to tear my hair off with all the twists in the plot akfsgjhgasdfjhfasdjgsjzdfhgsdhf

Like, is there extra scenes in one of them or something??
