I saw it on twitter. There’s too much going on I just let them be. They’re affecting the way I watch the show. If those rumored couples end up together, then they end up together. Even the YW issues I cannot -_-

How can they verify that it is in fact the family’s private accnt? There’s too many crazy and delulu in this world hahaha

The endgame couples rumor actually did not come from that picture. It was posted before the picture came out. Check E-media arts k twitter.. someone commented there that the one who leaked the rumor was JW acquiantance.

I knew it was gonna end like that lol. They really can’t show much bet ZXW and HQ because the finale episode did not resolve all the issues between them. It’s up to the audience to interpret/imagine their happy ending (if it is even one).

Final thoughts:
Not really a fan of dramas with female lead - 3 male leads because not enough screen time to build up the relationship bet fl and real ml (too many unnecessary scenes that could have been removed).

Actress playing ZY is really good, showed different emotions and interpreted her role well. Score 8/10

ZXW actor also good, he was able to play the role of unrequited love convincingly. He’s also very good looking with his manly face and broad shoulders (he does look like a lord / nobleman). Score 8/10

HRZ is cute like a puppy who fell in love for the first time and was willing to do anything for that person. Needs more practice / exposure to other genre. Score 7/10

ZYL actor okay-ish. To be fair, even in the novel he was cold, aloof and did not express his feelings much which he showed in the drama. He was always poker face even when he was supposed to be worried, angry etc. Score 5/10

MY actress is a disappointment. This is the first time I’ve seen her in a bigger drama project but girl, her expression from the start up until the finale is the same. I wanted to see anger, disappointment, jealousy etc but her face remained the same all throughout. She was the damsel in distress, the audience is supposed to understand her but I ended up liking the villain more. Her eyebrows and forehead do not even move when she’s conveying emotions huhu. More acting workshop for you girl, her role did not convince me at all. Score 3/10 (and this is me being generous).

I think she woke up in her dream, not in real life. XZW was giving her medicine and softly calling her name but she had no hair accessory. When she woke up, she has bonnet like accessory, most likely she is still in her dream.

End of ep 27, you see ZXW trying to wake her up in real life but she didnt. Why do I feel like its going to have an open ending, like she’ll wake up probably at latter portion of ep 29 or beginning of ep 30 then she’ll realize that everything was a dream. So far, the plot is still following the novel.

The actress playing MY has the same expression from the beginning, like girl show us something else. 🙃😣

Yes. It’s a short read and the chapters are not that long. Drama is already halfway through the novel (around chapter 50ish).

ZYL is the worst for me.. like sir make up your mind already. He never gave HQ the benefit of the doubt, always suspecting her. MY is not a saint either, she’s good at manipulating other people’s feelings to get what she wants (ZYL and WSM).

MY planned the kidnapping at the banquet to test ZYL feelings but she did not order HS to be killed. someone else used that opportunity to send assassins to kill HQ because they are aware of ZXW feelings for HQ (i’m guessing it’s theprettier one, not the one with a childhood sweetheart). This is based on the novel.

ZXW was actually married in the novel, he has a harem (so concubines) but there was no mention of love for those concubines (more for political reasons) Although at the end of the novel (like a bonus part), he meets a new noble lady who will sort of accompany the empress dowager and this lady reminds him of HQ personality. His story ends at this part.

I will be deleting all that I have posted later. I think I have said too much already :)

When he was younger, he was sold by his family to a rich man man but that man abuses children. That man tried to abuse him too so he killed him. Present HRZ was sent to prison because someone revealed his past. When HQ found out about his past, she did everything to free him. Remember HQ brother died and in the novel it was because of an evil noble consort who was jealous of emperor’s feelings for HQ (in the drama it’s gonna be one of the 2 women selected by HZW mother).

HQ found out about consort’s plan (with the help of MY) and made an agreement with the emperor, she won’t pursue his brother’s killer anymore if he frees HRZ. This is also another reason why HQ did not want to be with the HZW.

HRZ backstory is also important in the novel. I’m guessing it will also be in the drama because i saw a video clip of HRZ in prison. He was not really surnamed Hua but only chose that surname because of HQ.

In the novel, ZXW is an emperor so there is harem drama whereas in the drama, they’re are more of wealthy merchants (ZXW mother is a princess in the drama).

I’ll just include how the novel ended. There were a lot of events leading up to this but I won’t go into detail anymore.

ZXW tried to keep HQ from leaving the capital by imprisoning her in the palace. He wanted to be with her but HQ didn’t want to because for her palace life is complicated and she wants a normal life. Empress dowager didn’t want HQ to marry emperor so she did something to make it looked like HQ died and sent her out of the palace. Some time passed and HRZ went to ZXW to ask where HQ is. ZXW knows that she is alive and has someone guarding over her. He eventually tells HRZ where she is and they reunite. ZXW finally accepted that they can’t be together. Last part in the novel is ZXW visiting HQ (more like a goodbye).

Not sure if this is how it will end in the drama.

Yes most of it. In the novel, she really did go back in time. But in the drama, it looked like she was in a coma? (not 100% sure). The arrangement of the scenes were mixed up in the video but I think yes they were in the novel.

The second scene (if I am right) happened at the end of the novel. HQ is wearing more like a commoner’s clothes and is smiling at ZQW. I think this is the part where ZQW visited HQ for the last time (after HQ was sent away by empress dowager/ ZQW’s mom).

I have a hunch that the drama will have an open ending? If she really is in a coma and the bodyguard does not exist in real life, it might end with HQ and ZXW meeting again but with no wedding/getting together scene.

It’s a little bit more complicated in the novel. ZXW is an emperor in the novel, so more responsibilities etc. ZXW mother in the novel is empress dowager so she was against HQ and ZXW together.
