For this drama, there wasn't anything really bad about it, but at the same time, there wasn't anything really great about it.
It is one of those dramas that follow a normal mixture of storylines and characters with a side dish of troupes we are so accustomed to. It is just that at this present time, we expect a bit more than what we are accustomed to.
I would recommend watching if you want light and fluffy but if you need something different put this on the back burner.
As a female, my only pet peeve is the FL. I do not like her character at all. Here is why:
Pretence that she is strong when she is weak The opening character was funny and confident but that quickly disappeared thereby not maintaining continuity Way too impulsive for everything when she solves nothing. Not feeling her mannerisms... it's all the sameness.
I would say watch the drama, but that's just my peeve about it. Hurtful thing is, I feel the drama is more focused on her than the ML.
And the ending. Tragic ending is okay, but im not quite 'satisfied' with the way ZSC died. I feel like his death…
And with this, I know I shouldnt watch it. My heart cant take it. I think it fits the storyline, and love that its a different feel from the fluff but I personally cannot handle it right now. It has many that like this type. So I applaud them
I want to watch this, but based on everyone's comments. I don't think my heart can take it. Luckily they have Forever and Ever as the second part, so let me stick to that fluff for now. But one and only's story look so beautiful though.

I agree. the FL characters are not well-developed. Its almost like they are a plastic big in the wind just blowing around.
The drama thus far is okay. its not one to hold high expectations. It is something to pass time. We tend to need those between other dramas. I like the actor playing the emperor I think he plays that role very well.

Same. FL quick beliefs. All i been asking myself is, you see him hurt, you see him with blood, did you see him actually do the killing?
TBH, I think its that dang brother and his family did the killing because Second was getting treated there. And I think he save the sister and that's why he got hurt and she didn't get killed. Second's mom intervened because she thought it was her son but it wasn't.
But I am really irritated in her lack of trust tho. Just thinking about the many lives that were lost due to mere misunderstandings.
And whats up with Prince Jing though, not sure about that there
This isn't a bad drama at all. It is just very repetitive and draggy. They literally had you watching bittersweet moments for half the drama. Thankfully it was short.
Additionally, it has too many loose ends. But always make your own decisions watch and form your own opinions.
