is so good seeing a character clearly saying he’s gay bc in almost every bl looks like they’re almost afraid…
And on top of that, his is saying it during a time when it was still not as widely accepted. We like to think that in the early 2000s things were good, but even in conservative country like Thailand it was still pretty hard being openly Gay in those times. Still is today, but less stigma.
This needed to happen. As I said last time, Eiw is flourishing and growing while Cake is stuck. He was being left behind and that fear of not being Eiw's everything really made him realize his feelings. I know that there is still big major drama coming up, so I wonder if this would be the type where they separate again and meet up years later (not like when Cake left, but more like Eiw just needing to get away if his mother dies from cancer) Remind me, did Eiw's father die from the smoking or is he just not in the picture?
No hate to Kris (whatever he did in the past if he has changed for the better that's great. If he hasn't then there isn't anything we can do) but the dude cannot act! I don't care how sentimental/nostalgic some of you may feel about him from Sotus, but Kris has been lackluster in every single drama he has been in. Including all of his hetero dramas. He has no chemistry with his partners and honestly to think that he made some unsavory comments about BL/Gay (again in the past) you'd think that acting with castmates that are girls/women that he would have better chemistry, BUT NOOOO! like I said he can't act. He should just stick to singing at this point.
The reason he seems to want to come back to BL (when at one point he said he would only do them with Singto) is that 1) all of Krist' hetero dramas have sucked majorly and his fame isn't as strong as it used to be.
I remember having this conversation with another user here. Some of you may not like this, but a lot of straight-identifying actors who act in BL do so for the money. That's why there is a "gay-for-pay" moniker that goes around. This is simply another one of those cases for Krist. Sue me! 🤷 With that said, I am still looking forward to this to see if Krist has improved. I don't want to say I don't care about what he said/did in the past, but I also do believe and hope he has changed. We need to afford people that right. We make dumb mistakes, it wouldn't be fair to hold that against people for the rest of their lives.
As for Gawin! His acting has improved, but I still don't like his acting. He was okay in Not me and that's where I saw an improvement, but for a leading role? We shall see what he can bring. He is hot though, so I give him that! I hope to see lots of undressing if the plot to this starts to suck.
I could see the wording in this synopsis confusing people if English isn't their first language. They used some…
I totally get that too. I just thought it was odd that so many people thought the trailer didn't depict an iota of what the synopsis said.
oooh good point about the family member or friend. We will have to see if this is the case when it comes out. But given how BLs tend to work, I am guessing an ex-love trope might be used. However, if they do use the family loved one, that would make it nicer!
Eh, nothing much going on. Gotta wait for at least two more episodes to see if this hooks me or not. I like that Taiwan tries to steer away from high school dramas (with the exception of a few) and gives us the lives of adults. Still, not sure if this is going where I want it to go. The editing had some issues and some of the cliche tropes were a bit caricature. Again, still going to watch a few more before judging it.
That sister is so manipulative that I feel so damn annoyed. The fact that she tried to jump the queue is so unacceptable,…
Doctors are one of the most narcissitic people you'll meet. Trust me what she did? ain't nothing compared to what a lot of doctors do. I remember reading about some doctors who put their family members on waitlists for transplants skipping regular folks, just because they can. While the job is highly respectable, many doctors are not in it for the good of the cause, but for the fame/money/bragging.
Can you believe I forgot all about this drama? Like I knew something was off about my week and realized that I…
Finally saw it. I love how Cake hasn't changed because it shows that in some way he kept himself the same way for Eiw, but Eiw himself changed so much because he followed Cake's advice, to give things a try. So the real conflict is that while Cake remained the same and Eiw changed, they are both at different points in their lives. In a way, Eiw can live a life outside of Cake, but Cake has made Eiw his whole life, and doesn't know how to live without him.
The jealousy while seeming to come from Cake feeling left out of Eiw's life, will progress to him realizing why he is jealous. It isn't because Eiw's attention is being taken by everyone else, but rather because all this time, he has been in love with him but never realized it.
Can you believe I forgot all about this drama? Like I knew something was off about my week and realized that I didn't see episode 10...sighs...too many dramas airing driving me nuts.
How are people confused with the trailer? It clearly showed that Rak starts working in the industry business with Shine who is his superior. They work together to create new and innovative commercials/magazine shoots, but someone is sabotaging the company by selling their ideas to the competition. Rak and Shine must work together to find out who is the mole/snitch. They somehow end up falling for each other, but Shine seems to hold a secret about his love life.
That was pretty straightforward forward and the description here is not that far off from it.
It’s a popularity contest though. Would most probably go to KP… Although I enjoyed KP, I like Bad Buddy and…
I thought KP was a mess. Sure the actors have great chemistry and the cinematography was cool, but the story was lacking. It was a bait and switch in my opinion. They promised this amazing underground mafia drama with very cool nuanced characters, instead, we got the same silly love plots as other dramas. I still enjoyed KP at times, but other times I just kept rolling my eyes. If anything KP reminded me of the old-school slapstick Thai dramas with nonsensical comedy.
Effective storytelling in just 8 episodes seems to be what sets a few good BL dramas apart from others at times. Most of the ones I've watched that were less than 12 episodes concentrated so much on actually delivering the story and less on tropey plots/stories that it just made for such a great time watching it. Taiwan can be a hit or miss sometimes, but this was sweet and very relatable.
Any word if Tae/Tee are going to do any other projects together? I know that Tee has some dramas lined up and Tae had one as well, but nothing seems to indicate that they will do anything else together. I hope they do!
I want this to flop so hard, not for these cute kids, but for those behind MV. Don't support these people. These people are horrible and we shouldn't give them a pass. SH is a severe issue with traumatic experiences that leave those affected by it with PTSD. The fact that this company continues to even produce or be allowed to hire young actors (some of which are not even old enough to vote) is concerning. A predatory tactic on both these kids and their parents.
For those who may not know. This company is rampant with disgusting people who have preyed on young actors and have SHarassed them (in both sets of casts) for more details see below as others have already mentioned the instances.
