The show is slow, but it's so damn good!!!! The visuals are 100% just perfect, and I really like the mains' relationship. Beautiful and cute and so fluffy and sweet.
I didn't actually think the story was too slow, it was its slowness that gave it its special warmth I think. And we as watchers have kinda lost the ability to just sit and relax into a slowburn story.

Can anyone explain what exactly the police chief was trying to achieve? Like did he want to ruin Lu Li's life? Was he jealous that the ex-police chief liked Lu Li? I don't understand what he's trying to do
I think this Dr. Sell just brainwashed him into being the night god, because he said to his son that "the doctor"…
Yeah I get that he might've struggled with saving his son or putting his plan firat. But to me, since knowing he was the night god, it was so obvious he just never really cared about HuoLe, or at least never prioritised him.

I actually came from that one, cuz I saw they had the same name, but pretty sure they're different - and dare I say I liked s1 of this a lot more than the 2024 one
So i found out that there is a another series called Original Sin which came out in 2018, and it is also a detective / case-solving sort of series. I'm wondering if this one's based on the 2018 one? Or are they just completely different.
Anyway I'll be watching this, then trying out the 2018 one after

The fact that the nickname BQ gave FY was 'Stinky Tofu' was funny enough, not sure if non-native speakers got the joke. But that itself already gave me laughter for days
The mini episodes of 3minutes did annoy me a bit, but it was fine to just pretend they were longer episodes. It's an endearing little series, good for watching when you have a bit of time on your hands, or when you are procrastinating and want to take breaks in between work haha
Plot may not always make much sense, and it may seem choppy at places. But turn your brain off and you'll definitely enjoy this little piece of bromance series
Hm. I honestly didn't entirely like the ending twist.
Like was it really necessary to do an entire 180 for Lawyer Qin in a single minute? Barely any foreshadowing at all, and no him being the only one who could have contacted the Dr. Sell or wtv does not count, like is Qin the only dude who's ever been in a foreign country in Jiang Cheng??
If since the very beginning he has been pretending, going into jail and pretending to be killed so he could abandon his identity, then was all that really necessary? Or did he pretend to be kind to die a heroic fake death? I'm just confused.
And why did he even have to fake caring for his son QHL? It's obvious he really doesn't care that much, like he was prepared to 'die' and become the night god, leaving QHL not knowing anything in Britain. He was prepared to watch QHL fight to the death in one of the penultimate episodes surrounded by guns and soldiers etc. He does not care about his son. But then he sometimes he acts so fatherly and caring, he looked genuinely worried when he realised QHL might have fallen into the human clock lady's trap. Or was that acting too?
I literally think this Qin dude has some kinda bipolar thing going on, or maybe just bad character writing. Anyway I did not like this plot twist at all. It just made absolutely no sense to me. His motive wasn't even entirely clear. As a lawyer we know him as a logical person, but somehow the only 'motive' he had for being the night god was wanting to take over and be the ruler through killing probably half the citizens and bombing the floodgates. like wtf even went through his supposedly rational brain.
I watched 3 ep and i feel like this is childish i dont know how to put it its kinda fake and not like a real mystery…
Agreed hahaha, that's why i said in my comment the cases in this series is very nonsensical, it's less logical and a whole lot more about random psychological deductions (and hypnotism lol)
