ep 8 actually made me tear up so badly, I didn't expect this series to explore such complex topics, and they did it in such a beautiful way too

Damn 1st episode and I'm already intrigued, all because of how well done and non-cliche the truck scene was lol (And I can literally already sense the BL undercurrents, which means the screenwriters really did a good job - it is a bit weird that MC is like a 40yr old dude tho)

Absolutely love this series, the relationships between characters are amazing, each case was intricate and emotional, and the story in general is incredibly well-written.

Slight spoiler:
I just wish we got a little more background for Kuzumi, he did reveal bits and pieces of his past that may or may not be fabricated, but we never did get to hear his story. But then again, I guess this is what makes his character great, leaving it a mystery for us to guess

Anyone has any recs similar to this: detective / mystery, male lead duo, little to no romance, and for additional points has a storyline that's as good as this

So many things I didn't understand lol -
So did our MC die using up his spiritual energy? And how the heck did og MC come back, was he just there all along somewhere in the back corner??
So ML never knew MC wasn't truly MC (aw), but I guess that's the same as svsss
Why was the BaiSong or wtv his name is on the opposing side of WuYe? If he's the demonic orb or sth, shouldn't he be on the same side as the Demon King?
Also why was the fully female sect suddenly so welcoming and completely obedient to ML taking over??

Honestly did not expect to love this as I much as I do. This series really hits deep with each episode, and I end up crying for the victims/offenders most of the time

i rarely watch movies, but this was definitely worth it

Yeahh Vi is totally mean, and I haven't even gotten to the part where they actually get tgt (if they ever do). But I guess it's not uncommon to see this type of bully-flirt trope, lots of those in the typical BG romance stories
