I came here for Inukai after watching Bokura no Shokutaku (an absolute masterpiece btw), and wow, just in that first episode, I was just amazed by the diversity of his acting style
i'm glad it's not a bl drama , i can't watch them, not my cup of tea at all. The story seemed so good tho and…
Gotta say, I love the debate going on in the comments, and I do agree that what you said isn't wrong, cuz everyone has their own preferences. But I think why people are getting mad is mainly because the original source is a BL story. The fact that you rejoice over the source story having part of its uniqueness stripped for the consumption of the 'general and likely homophobic community', is probably made you look real bad
So I'm seeing a lot of fights in the comments about the duo-language in this series. I'm just curious, why exactly did the directors choose to have 2 languages here?
Tbh the plot is kinda crap, I really like the setting of the series with ML being an old vampire, and they really did portray his ancient vampire self really well. But the rest of the story is just terrible, it's choppy, it makes no sense, and it seems that the baddy somehow is getting more screentime than anyone else. The only reason I stayed is for ML and FL, and mainly FL cuz she's such an adorable and badass cutie.
Worth a watch for the interesting vampire portrayal, but don't expect much for the plot. And oh gosh. f*ck that ending.
Hahaha just finished watching ep1, I totally understood why the mixed comments. It's so bad that it's kinda good, something straight out of a Wattpad story if you would. I do wonder if it's China doing some kind of experiment on new types of dramas, cuz I definitely would never imagine this being a series from 2024
I give the plot a 7, but 0.5 docked for Hibini cuz she really did piss me off slightly at times, so 6.5. The ending was quite bittersweet, but I understood why it had to happen like that, and honestly there can be no other endings ..
Currently at ep14, and I must say this has exceeded my expectations. I really like ML and FL's relationship, it's really authentic, and no over-dramatic clichés
Actually I'm curious, at what point is a couple considered married? At the very first scene we saw FL and LYQ dude walking 'down the aisle', but they didn't do the 3 traditional bows. But at the gravestone, it's written that FL is LYQ's wife? So are they considered already married even not having completed the entire marriage process?
Honestly nothing else to say, this exceeded my expectations completely. I thought MC was a bit silly at first, but he really isn't; the plot is just amazing, and it really explores morality as well, a topic that I really like in debates. Teeny bit of bromance, not a lot imo, but I love it all the same. It delves into some pretty dark and sad stories despite its appearance of being like a comedy series.
Worth a watch for the interesting vampire portrayal, but don't expect much for the plot. And oh gosh. f*ck that ending.
So they didn't end up dying? Who's the fugitive and probably dead??
