AGREEED I nearly jumped into the screen to strangle FanXiao myself

Nobody is ok with FanXiao lol, if you haven't noticed, everyone agrees he's literally one of the reddest/blackest flag that's ever walked the fictional world, it's normal to hate him

You've captured everything I wanted to say, I thought this was an absolute masterpiece, but I could not give it a perfect score. I only rated it 8/10 because the ML is way way way wayyyyyy too despicable for my taste that I found it hard to believe he had a redeeming chance to love MC again, and I needed a whole lot more closure than what they gave us in the last episode.

But I agree, it's not toxic in the normal way, while normally we might have a completely red flag ML coercing and manipulating an unsuspecting MC, here our MC is his own league of fieriness and genuis. He definitely holds his own against ML's manipulative schemes, though yes, he's also immensely hurt by it too. The way our MC has the wits and power to actually stand up against, and even dominate ML, is what makes this non-conventional in the way they protray toxicity in relationships, and is also what makes me love and appreciate this series so much.

Beautifully written, I cannot believe I only stumbled upon this gem now, but I have no regrets, one of the best BLs I have ever watched

I think so too, the switch in ep11 actually gave me a bit of a whiplash, but they did show us what happened in the middle which connects the story. For me, it was less the sudden shift from brothers to BF, because they clearly weren't exactly only brothers for a while, it was the sudden make-out sesh that jump-scared me haha, I guess it only took a little push for Qian to get past his worries

Omg I love that when they started arguing in ep8, Yuan literally just grabbed the dish of fruits and sat back to watch the show, he literally went to the US and came back being such a tease hahaha

Unknown is absolutely fantastic

Very very incredibly beautifully written, adapted, and acted out, they really portrayed the deepest devotion possible. Bravo to all involved in this drama

Spirealm had Nanzhu flirting with MC from the very first episode though hahaha, though they definitely did tone it down a lot compared to the novel

Omg discovered another Priest masterpiece, and finally not hiding behind the censorship too!! Though Guardian, WoH, and Justice in the Dark were definitely also masterpieces, how I wish we would get the Sha Po Lang adaptation one day

The Last Immortal did it quite well too

YES gosh I really really really disliked PianPian at the end, like girl I know you've got your own things going on and I feel sorry for you, but I seriously enjoyed watching BingZhu grow as a person and then she ruined it all immediately

And I really didn't expect the 3 demon lords to die that easily, it just had to be done to push the plot forward and no other reason at all because it makes no sense. And of course, our FL seemed completely immune to their deaths and didn't feel grief at all, I really pity them, and wish they didn't write FL as such an unattached character. Throughout the series, she didn't even have a single good friend (no Dali and LuoLuo aren't really her good friends) and completely abandoned her father.

I definitely agree, it's completely biased. I guess it had something to do with the humans attempting to steal the black obsidian which is a very flimsy excuse for allowing Ao Hen to go scot free after killing humans compared to the punishment HongYe faced ..

Agreed, it started well and I actually liked it, but it went downhill very quickly and never improved. HongYe most definitely got sidelined in this series and he barely had any kind of character development, I felt that he was simply there as a decoration for FL unfortunately

Too many characters who died for nothing or too fast, I so agreed. Dali's death, I guess made sense in a retribution way, but I didn't like how they did her character so dirty. And I simply cannot believe that PianPian and BingZhu were able to take down 3 ancient demon lords that easily.

XiaoYao is definitely reliving her past memories because of her pain of losing HongYe, I doubt she believes he would come back to her again. The ending seriously sucked, not just because it was a sad one but because it doesn't make any sense to me. There must've been a better way to seal the Yuli thing without sacrificing HongYe ..

Tbh, for me, it's not just the ending that was horrible, and I mean horrible not because it's sad because sad endings can be done well, this one just didn't make any sense to me. But apart from the ending, the whole storyline just seems like a wasted potential, demons acting like teenagers, non-existent character developments, and the whole time travelling/paradox thing barely made sense to me.

Unless XiaoYao had the exact same copy/paste personality across all her three lives, it wouldn't make sense that she was able to completely integrate into those past lives and no one noticed anything off. On top of that, what exactly happened to the original owner of the bodies? Conveniently, XiaoYao dies both times after she takes over the bodies, so we never find out whether the original souls might come back with extra memories from the future after XiaoYao returns to her timeline.
